Needed a plumber after a burglary incident where the the thieves flushed down something in the toilet which blocked the main lines. It's true that you only write reviews for great experiences and terrible ones and this one was great. I'm mechanically inclined enough to get myself into trouble. During a bathroom remodel and installation of a new toilet I noticed a small leak. After taking it apart I noticed my toilet flange was cracked. A few days of effort and Lowe's trips later I was defeated and sought professional help. Toan was extremely helpful and even gave me advice over the phone on how I could fix it. Gave it another go and still had the same issue. Toan came over and was quickly able to figure out that is was in fact my new toilet that was leaking and my plumbing was fine! On March 29, 2023, we weren't getting any hot water out of our water heater. I called the name on our water heater (the people who had installed it) and found out that company had been bought out by another. I was told by the new company that it would cost $75 for someone to come out. The repairman they sent gave me an estimate to fix at over $1,000, and to buy a new one would cost us $4,000. I couldn't believe it and I am so thankful that it dawned on me immediately that I should call the man who has been helping us out with our plumbing needs at a reasonable price for over 10 years - Twan at All Star Plumbing. TOAN!! Toan is the BEST ever! My water heater started leaking, so I texted him. I've been calling Toan for all my plumbing issues, so I know what kind of guy he is. He is direct and to the point, no sugar coating, and tells you like it is. He texted me right away, asked a few basic questions, gave me a quote, and I texted YES, and he was here in 10 mins. Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!!! He came, looked at my poor water heater, hooked up a hose to drain, left and came back with a new water heater. I got to sit back and watch the artist do his thang...because that's exactly what it looked like after he installed it. I was really amazed how he can just look, and cut pipe without a measuring tape. In my mind, I was thinking, "that ain't gonna fit" and yup, it fit exactly. I should never have doubted his work, since he's always done an excellent job. He installed the pressure relief valve pipe to drain outside the garage by going thru the wall.....my old water heater didn't have that. My old water heater had a pipe to drain into the garage...that's so dangerous!!! His work is over and beyond what you think any plumber would do. All Star Plumbing was outstanding. We hired Toan of All Star Plumbing in Fairfield, California to repair an old, leaking water pressure regulator valve. Toan asked me to text some pictures so he could assess the situation. He came by later that day to quickly assess the situation. Then he set up an appointment for the next morning. The next morning, he arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time. He had the required part. He was knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and efficient. Though focused, he was friendly, courteous, and answered all my questions. He ran into some problems since the water pressure regulator was old, covered by dense vegetation, and was adjacent to some old, worn out pvc pipe for our sprinkler system. Besides his experience, knowledge, and physical dexterity, Toan had a big truck with a lot of specialized tools. He used some of these special tools when he ran into unique problems that required special help. Due to his vast experience, the problems did not faze him. He impressed us with his approach, diligence, and efficiency. Though his schedule was full for the next few days, we asked him to come back to fix some leaky bathroom shower faucets. He did so three days later. While back, he checked on the water pressure regulator to ensure everything was OK. We were very impressed by Toan. He was excellent. He was referred to us by a neighbor. Appointment time: Toan was very pushy about the time of the appointment. He insisted on a time that worked for him rather than the customer (me). He actually showed up at the incorrect time which was super early in the morning. Time management: Toan was always in a rush, never taking the time to fully assess the problem. Job: Toan instructed me to order the part online; he gave me the name & part number. I ordered it, and it was the incorrect part, which delayed the repair. Overview: Toan works by himself. It is apparent he does not want to turn down any jobs that come his way.
