One of the worst experiences I've had with any vendor in my 25 years in Ithaca. Went in and spent a half hour getting advice from Susan on choice of wall tiles for partial kitchen remodel and was advised on selecting particular tile. Susan also advised me to first wait for them to order a sample tile before I placed my order and advised me that the sample should be in in a few weeks. Two months later, when I had heard nothing back, called in. After finally getting past their terrible voicemail system that constantly told me it had not yet been set up so no messages could be left, I finally spoke with salesperson who told me Susan would get back to me in a few days. Two weeks later, still no call back, left both a voicemail message and sent email to Susan's attention. Now one month after that, still no call back, no reply to the email... nothing. What a huge waste of my time and a needless delay of two months for no reason whatsoever. Fortunately, I wrote down the tile manufacturer's name and was able to finally contact the manufacturer directly to proceed with my order. read more

My total kitchen remodel is completed! But it would not be as beautiful as it is without the assistance of this wonderful staff! Cindi found me just the perfect slab of soapstone for my countertops and Susan found just the brick floors I was looking for. The entire process was very easy and Cindi kept me updated constantly about the timing of the shipping and installation..they even stored it there until I was ready. Steven and Jacob didn't an amazing job on the countertop installation and even sealed the stone before they left. Cindi reached out the next day to check in. I'm not sure about the crappy reviews other people left..but this is the second time I've bought from them and I've been beyond happy with this store. I've used this place for two jobs at my house. While the selection of material seems to be excellent, I have never run into an operation managed as poorly as this one. With the first job, communication seemed somewhat shaky throughout (never getting called back in a timely fashion; being told conflicting things by different individuals), and they had to remove and re-cut a counter because they had cut it incorrectly the first time. Although this took a lot of time and it was a headache, I just chalked it up to "anyone can make mistakes." So, when we needed some slate for our kitchen, we thought we'd try them again. What a blunder that was! We never got past getting the materials on the second job, even though we attempted to work with them for a dozen or so weeks. We found stone, and they put our name on it. We asked for a price; we were given a ridiculous price, and then a couple of days later someone different gave us a completely different price. Additionally, there were some other pieces that we were told were available--later they reneged after going back and forth several times, in the end saying we couldn't have them. We have told them what we wanted the slate for, created and brought in our own template for cutting it, and asked simply for a price to cut it and to put an edge on it. Well, you'd think we were asking for heaven and earth. After MANY phone calls, visits, and attempts to get some answers, we finally gave up on this place. We were repeatedly lied to about unimportant things, such as whether or when another employee would be in to give us information and the availability of certain pieces of stone. We are very reasonable people - not difficult clients at all - but they treated us as if they really didn't care one bit about our business. And these were not isolated encounters - this went on for weeks and weeks. If you want customer service, or even if you just want to buy a product at this place, save yourself the headache. All Stone and Tile is an extreme embarrassment. read more

When we built our house ten years ago I visited this establishment but the customer service was so abysmal so I ended up ordering all the tile from a shop in Rochester. That store is no longer in business so Since this was a much smaller project I decided to give these guys another chance. Big Mistake. A small tile order for a shower started in August and here we are in November and still no tile. Salesperson had no idea what she was doing. She ordered the wrong amount (take 5th grade math again). No follow up ever. Every call had to be my call to them. Not sure how they stay in business but I would recommend any other place. read more

The first time I wish there was less than one star. They show you one price and when the home is done you realize they doubled the price. The quality and workmanship is worse than a kindergartner with play dough. They are dishonest, railroad you into your selection, and never finish the work. The seams show like a runway. Wish I would have hired a big box store or just did it myself. They also ruined a wall during installation. read more

I probably had the worse experience ordering my granite from this place. From selecting the product to installing it, nothing but a complete disaster. Owner came out out with his compute/laser which took him hrs. After they cut the required pieces and delivered it (two weeks) later all but 1 piece was correct. The whole experience was a nightmare. What was suppose to take a week and perhaps a day to install dragged on for 2 months. It took 3 times to get the correct length--I was flabbergasted and majorly upset/disappointed. In the end I picked out the pieces which were the correct size and did the installation myself. They even sold be a piece of granite which had warped, which went unnoticed till I installed it. I was going to call and ask for a refund but my patience and energy had all but evaporated... shop here at your own peril. They (owner & GM) may exhibit some knowledge and tell you exactly what you want to hear but beware when it comes to the installation and sizing. Clueless and pathetic service. I would drive to another State rather than use these folks again. Save yourself some heartache and shop elsewhere.... read more

It took 4 months to get a piece of tile cute and ready that was originally said to take 2-3 weeks. Phone calls were rarely if ever returned. We were told the tile was done and arrived to pick it up and one of the holes was not drilled, so it wasn't done. When it was actually done, I inquired about all the mishaps with their service and timeline, 3/4 of the people basically denied it and argued what I was saying was wrong. They blamed another employee who was fired, but that is their business not our responsible as a customer. 1 manager said a poorly expressed sorry, but otherwise never took responsibility for the non-returned phone calls or how awfully long it took. We will never go there again, what a headache. This company does not know how to do business. read more

I have had multiple bad experiences with this business. I was patient and asked them to correct the mistake they made delivering the wrong stone to my house. Then making me come back down to choose another which I did but then they sold that one after they marked it for me. I ended up with stone for my laundry room that I didn't even want because they wouldn't fix their error and dealing with the staff was worse than living with the stone I didn't like. Wish I could give them a 0 star. Sad because they have some nice product but need staff training. read more

First of all they get all your payment upfront before the job is even started -- big mistake as you should only agree to paying half until job is done. Night before my granite countertop install they came again to measure as they discovered their tool was not working. I ended up paying full price for a piece meal job & their only solution was to completely redo the job rather than give a discount on the price which was my preference over taking another full day of my time and putting add'l stress on 16 yr. old cupboards. My husband and I had new quartz counter tops installed by All Stone and Tile last May and were extremely pleased with both the process and the results. They were very helpful and informative, with an extensive showroom, in our decision making. They acted promptly and made sure we approved of the quartz before fabrication. Randy's laser measurements were extremely accurate and, with Dan and his helpers' work, the final result exceeded our expectations in every detail. They went out of their way to provide good service, including some weekend work. We recommend All Stone and Tile without hesitation. read more

Worst company ever. Took them two months to get a small countertop job installed correctly. Poor communication not only between their employees but to the customer. We were ignored for days sometimes even weeks in regards to our install. We never received an apology nor any offer for refund for inconvenience and their poor services. Word of advice please avoid this company when looking to purchase stone countertops. The owner himself even told us they were understaffed and that communication was not the greatest. read more

We decided to go with All Stone & Tile of Ithaca after going there to get some counter top ideas. Honestly thought it would be out of our budget but after our Sales person talked to us and we were given a quote and a discount we decided to swing the extra cost and have them install Granite countertop in our kitchen. After the layout "owner" came to the house the Price went up - additional square footage. (although we had exact dimension the day we went to them based on we had the cabinet layout with us from just purchasing those somewhere else). We were told we would only pay for exactly what we were getting - but it seems they rounded it up to the next square foot on each piece after all. They were 2 hours late for the layout, 2 hours late for the install, late again with the first guy who came to fix the mistakes and a No show for the expert to come back and fix the mistakes that were made during the install. To which I called and asked them to accommodate my schedule for him to show up to fix the issues. It appears when the layout was done it was a little to big and the stone had to be made smaller on sight then the Seam that I was promised I wouldn't even know was there was extremely noticeable and Rough (that's fixed by the way by digging the silicone out and painting some black stuff down the seem then refilled with epoxy. Same thing with the chip that was in the stone. Other issues - messy silicone left inside the sink, didn't finish adding silicone between granite and top of base cabinets, gap between wall and granite that we were told to fill with black caulk ourselves, never received the sink cut out that we paid for that they said we could have, left white silicone between black granite and a blue wall - said it would dry clear - it didn't, we have a 2" overhang that is rough on the bottom side as underneath is understandably unfinished and the utility cabinet frame and wall were dented and scraped up - they did offer to fix it - but there really isn't much that can be done other than replacing it and since we just installed it with cabinets on each side including the crown molding we didn't want to take all that back down. Does it look good in the end Yes it does - but my biggest concern is that seem how will that look 5 years from now I can still feel it, was told the owner would call me to see if I was satisfied with everything - no call. read more

We had new kitchen counters and sinks installed this summer by these folks and it was a very good experience. Their extensive showroom was very interesting and informative to the non-design person like me. Who knew you could do all those things with wood, stone and tile? Chris coordinated our project with little drama and great availability and clear answers when we had questions. Most important - it came out as good or better than we pictured. Probably a bit more expensive than some places but given the permanence and regret potential I think it was worth it. I give five stars to the quality of the granite and just about nothing to everything else they do. We made the mistake of ordering not only our granite countertops but also our sinks and faucets from them, to simplify the process of redoing parts of two bathrooms. The granite work was first rate. The faucets were absolutely the worst. Parts were missing and when they finally arrived, our plumbers had to return to correct the defective parts which were leaking. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING BESIDES THE GRANITE. The quality of their other products is below substandard. read more

When my husband and I decided to renovate our kitchen, we decided on granite countertops. We wanted to give business to our community so decide to go with All Stone and Tile on 3rd street here in Ithaca, NY. We had wonderful service up to the point after they received all of the money $6000.00 Dollars and you have to pay it ALL upfront before you have the product installed in your home. The person that came out to do the measuring was phenomenal, so was Dan the cutter and installer, could not have asked for a better fit. The issue arose when we were scheduled to have the install. We were told when we made our final payment a certain date. My husband working 3rd shift had to take off two nights because we needed to take the sink out at the last possible time, we didn't want to be without. We also assumed we would be able to install our new sink shortly after the install. My husband waited all day for the crew to show up and finally called the business around 2:30, the women he spoke with didn't see us on the schedule and said that the cutting machine had broken down and they had called and rescheduled all the folks on that day's roster and we were not one of them. Come to find out the women he spoke with Jaime, was the one that gave us the original install date. For a week we were without a kitchen sink, try fixing meals for a week without one, not fun, not fun at all. I voiced my frustration and disappointment to the store and asked for 10% back, that didn't happen but if I chose to spend more money and buy some tile from them I could get 20% off, sorry no, you are not now or ever getting any more money from us. The only reason I gave 3 stars was because of the guy that did the measuring and the guys that installed. I am very happy with the granite (mother nature) and the fit. read more
