Enrique came out to work on our flat room after the huge storms last February. The problem was solved in that particular area but another spot appeared in the recent storm. He came out right away and found the problem. With the rain he could only Make sure it was covered with tarps but he will return when there is a break in the weather. One of the most unprofessional companies i've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. After no-showing for the first appointment I scheduled, the scheduler assured me her manager would call me to advise what time he'd be by during the 10-1:30pm timeframe today. I'm not much of a yelper, but the experience I just had with All Weather Roofing I just have to give them 5 stars !! The work they did from the communication with the estimator Dave, email updates from the gals in the office, the several men on the job, to dealing with the owner Marlin, yes the owner was out a few times checking on the work and giving me updates. I like that kind of company....super nice guy. Once the work got scheduled (they are a little busy) rightly so, It got done very quick. They sent in a crew and like a tornado the roof was off and prepped for a new one, it was amazed to watch. The clean up during and after the job was great and something I was worried about not being done right, not one nail or shingle was left for me to deal with. My new roof looks amazing !!! Gutters... I have to mention the gutter man, though he is a sub contractor of All Weather, Valleyseamless.com, this 2 man team just flat gets it done, amazing work. I have a couple areas that was challenging and they passed with flying colors. The owner would check with me and run ideas by me for my approval, I like that ! I'm so impressed with there work, all seamless and the down spouts are very nice looking workmenship. Marlin surrounds himself with quality sub companies as he has to put his name on their workmenship. The payment process was pretty painless as they did not hound me for money, small down payment and final amount due when job was completed and after the permit was signed off from the inspector... yes they did all the permitting and paper work for the job.. something else I was worried about. They also do solar system, I was not in the market for a system only because we are not going to be in this house that long but if I was I would choose these guys... I had a wonderful experience with all weather Roofing. I gave them a call before the rainy season started to come check out my roof . They came out and explained in detail that it was still in fair condition and all it would need be some patch work and sealing . While pointing out that the gutters and down spouts did need replacing. It's been three months and I'm still waiting for my call back from the owner of this company. My apartment company hired this company to fix our roof. However, nobody notified us ahead of time so one morning the company pooped up at my house ready to go. I figured it was no big deal since they were working outside and not inside of my house. I have a dog and luckily I kept her inside all day otherwise she would have ran away due to the employees leaving my backyard gate wide open. My husband came home and found the entire house covered in roofing dirt. All over our dishes, couches, clothes, my daughters crib! They left our backyard gate open with our garbage can knocked over and a garden statue broken in pieces. They even broke part of our roof in our garage and left our garage a mess. I have a one year old and I was 6 months pregnant at the time so smelling the debris was awful and we didn't go to sleep until 2 am due to cleaning our house. When we approached the company about this issue they blamed it on us. Saying it was our fault. Excuse me they never offered to lay down plastic inside the house to catch the debris. I'm not a professional how was I suppose to know debris would fall inside. The manager came over to "clean" and all he did was clean our cabinets which were already cleaned. I have used All Weather Roofing in Oakland for reroofing my house in September 2008 and an apartment building in 2006. (Note: there are other All Weather Roofing companies that show up in web searches, so look carefully.) I have been very pleased with them both times. My brother in law, who is a landlord and property manager, uses them for his buildings. Enrique (510-701-4449) and his group are easy to work with and very straight up about what you really need to do. They won't sell you what you don't need. Both the house and apartment building required repair to the roof deck and gutter work. They did both well. The final products are attractive. We got a 40 year composition shingle roof with 30 lb. roofing paper on the apartment building. Now that 50 year composition shingles are readily available, we opted for that on our house. If you think about the costs of a roof, you want to go with the longest lasting roof you can. Labor costs outweigh materials. Also, the roofing paper is a very important part of the system. It acts as the innermost weatherproofing barrier between your house's wood structure and rain. Get the heaviest paper available. Our house project was more complicated. We had solar panels put on at the same time as the roof, using Sungevity (510-845-5660), whom we also highly recommend. All Weather and Sungevity coordinated their work on their own initiative, which I really appreciated. You can have the mounts for solar systems installed before the shingles go on or after. We opted for pre-shingle, although both have been proven effective and weatherproof. Beyond the necessary roof repair and solar installation, we had All Weather also add rigid insulation over our detached workshop building and install 3 skylights to our house and workshop building. Two were 2 x 4 fixed skylights, the third was a Solatube-style tube skylight. I had talked with two other roofers who seemed reluctant to try doing this, although it's not at all hard for an experienced contractor to do. The rigid insulation, which was approximately 5 inches deep to make R-30, required framing around the insulation panels and adding a second wood sheath over the panels before laying paper and shingles. All Weather's prices were very competitive, both for a simple roof and for the more elaborate work described above. Their crew was courteous and neat. Given that they had to take off three layers of roof, I found very little evidence around the perimeter of our house to show that they'd ever been there. They went out of their way to help us with our project. Permitting and inspections went off without a hitch. I would recommend All Weather without hesitation for anyone looking to do a new composition roof. They also do clay tile. Good people! read more

I was given the number for All Weather Roofing and I asked them to come by and give me an estimate... Within an hour Enrique was with me on my roof going over what needed to be done. My experience with All Weather Roofing began very well and was promising, but continued to worsen as time went. I called AWR and Craig returned my call after the long holidays. We set up a time for him to come and check out my leaking roof. Craig inspected my roof and gave me a verbal estimate for work, with nothing written. He stated that he would call me in 3 days to arrange a time to complete the work. Almost a week passed and I had not heard from Craig so I called him and left a message for him to return my call. Instead of just communicating by phone, Craig showed up to my house unannounced. He decided to climb onto my roof again to take photos and appeared completely unorganized and flustered. He told me that he would try to complete the work the following day, but was unsure due to high winds that week. I asked that he call me in the morning to give me an update and he agreed. The entire next morning and early afternoon came and went with no call. As I was ready to move on to another company due to lack of response and communication, 2 guys showed up at my door stating that they were ready to complete the roof work. Due to my desperation to get the work completed before the next rain, I allowed the work to be done. The contractor that completed the work was very professional and informed me that Craig only serves as a figure head and businessman, but that he was the actual contractor with the license. I reviewed the work and it appeared to be done well. After completion, I readied to pay the contractor, but he declined payment, stating that an invoice would be mailed to me. An entire 3 weeks passed with no invoice. On a random night, the contractor himself hand-delivered the invoice to my wife, once again not asking for payment at that time. The invoice was for slightly more than what was quoted, but I was prepared to mail payment and move on. The following day as my family and I prepared to eat dinner (at night, about 7pm), Craig showed up at my door asking for payment at that time! I gave him the check and sent him on his way. This company's business arrangement appears to be pretty sketchy and I would never choose to hire this company again. The work appears to be done well, but this experience was NOT worth it. I just discovered, past the company's warranty date, that the flashing they installed on my flat roof was only 2" deep instead of the required 4". As a result, water has been leaking from the roof inside the walls, causing rot that will cost thousands of dollars in repairs. read more

I was not surprised that it took a little time for Enrique to call me back because I know this time of the year with all the rain and the extreme drought for years before that he must have been very busy. In fact our situation with the roof over our garage was due to the drought. We purchased the house in 2011. It was very possible the roof leaked at that time. It did not rained significantly after 2011 so we hadn't a clue if the roof leaked or not. Enrique fit us in within three days of calling me back. He and his crew did an excellent and fast job. He arranged to meet my wife and I at a time convenient for us to look at our roof and make some suggestions on what kind of roofing product would work best for us. He spent and hour going through options and made our decision easy to choose a 50 year composition shingle for our residence. We have gotten a couple of other estimates to do the roof.
