Asked for prices, and given a $500 range...for one door! Explained that I was looking for a better grasp to make financial choices. No movement....asked for this door specifically ...same answer. At this point I asked to speak to the owner...oh wait, he was the owner!? Bottom line....he wants to deal with contractors and not the person off the street (so to speak). His site should indicate that. Really left a bad taste in my mouth. I waited a day to write this.. believe me, yesterday would have had a different bent. Owner seems to own up to his mistake, which deserves a large bump in my book. I may try them again next time I am in need of a door if I have time off during the week to handle everything. The reason you have better reviews hidden is because the system discounts reviews depending on the reviewer. I must admit, when I first searched through Yelp and found Rayco Door & Window, I was a bit hesitant on calling them based on the very few reviews...and well...as well as the rating. However, I then realized that they also have 28 filtered reviews which sucks because I'm pretty sure more than 50% of them were legit reviews but filtered based on Yelp's unexplained algorithm. They have refused to do business with me on 3 occasions now, saying they are too busy to entertain my RFQ (2 small jobs and one very large job; all single-home, residential, and requiring installation). Just trying to get a quote and I've submitted a form online two to three weeks ago, called and spoke with someone who said I'd get a call back and that was a week ago and now just left another phone message. Called Monday and talked with a not-so-friendly receptionist. The receptionist told us to measure the windows and sliding doors ourselves and give her the measurements. Then she would send a tech guy to our house to remeasure the windows and doors! We were bit puzzled to why measuring had to be performed twice. When we told her that our windows are big and really high for us to reach she immediately became irritated. She then took down our address and set up an appointment for Friday at 10:30am. She said she will pass our appointment to the owner before hanging up. No one showed up for the appointment at 10:30am. We got a call from Rayco at 3:40pm saying that they can come for the appointment without apologizing for the missed appointment. When we asked the technician about the missed appointment, he just kept giving us excuses. We instead called a competitor who was professional, friendly and actually showed up on time. read more

Finally picked out a front door, and waited and waited, emailing about every two months, they said it's on order and there was a few problems, ok waited. One year later, no response. I would never do business with Rayco.. Went to Madallion Industries Inc. in Livermore. Front door order and will be in 2-3 weeks, stained and with glass for more than half the cost. read more

Very poor customer service. Not sure if this is Rayco's company culture, bad processes at this company or my bad luck with their unresponsive staff name Debbie. Drove to their showroom hoping to see and feel the Therma-Tru doors I am interested in since this company is one of the designated dealer. Their staff name Debbie was pleasant initially but seemed to be in a hurry. She was not interested in providing any information. She seemed to want to rush me out of the show room. She suggested to email her pictures of my house, current front entry, and door style I am interested in and then she can help me from there. Emailed all requested information to Debbie on the same day of visit. Received a reply from her a couple of days later stating she would not have time to provide an estimate or any information for at least 4 to 5 days. 7 days went by, not a word from Debbie. Followed up with Debbie by email and phone calls. She never bothered to respond nor provide any quote. I guess Rayco has so much business that they do not care if potential serious customers are falling through the crack or not. read more

We live in Alamo and we had Rayco come out to give us price on several itiems we found their prices to be very fair. We contracted for the work to be done and everything was done to our standards. They replaced door hardware, conpletely replaced a back door with a beutiful french door and changed some window pains that had some scratches left from a stuco contractor. I quoted from more than 10 stores and their price is the best, almost 60% of the highest quote and still a couple of hundreds lower than the 2nd and 3rd best quote. I was a bit hesitant due to other review comments but I decided to give them a try. In my dealing with them in person, over the phone and via email, the service was great. I have used Rayco three times so far in the last year and am very happy with their work. The first job was to re-install a window that was incorrectly installed by someone else. They did such a great job that I had them replace all the the other windows in my house. My house is 60 years old and had some original wood windows and some broken aluminum windows. Now I have all new beautiful, great quality vinyl windows. My house was recently painted on the inside and Rayco did a great job of touching up after the window installs. Still waiting for completion of a job that has been going on for almost 6 months. One problem after another with this shady outfit. First Scott tried to force an invoice on me that did not match contracted work and demanded final payment for this step of work.I refused. Then interior doors came they were not painted just primed. Then some were taken out to be painted when returned many weeks later were not what was called out in contract.Later interior door with glass finally came the bottom panel of that door did not match the rest .Door was removed and no further work will be done until I agree to owners demand to except this door as is. This was a custom ordered that the owner of Rayco ordered himself and he got it wrong. He has now demanded payment in full without completing his contract. Please do not put your self through a night mare like this RUN FROM THIS SHADY OUTFIT!!!!! read more

We first contacted Rayco in January about the problem of the window they installed.It's now May and it's not fixed yet .We've been calling them several times and Scott came more than a month ago and said somebody or him will come back to finish it.I called them and always was told they will call me at certain days if and when someone can come, so we stayed home and wait for the call that never came.I spoke with Marcela last week and we agreed that someone will come last Friday.I informed her that my wife had appt.after 10am and be back before noon so they can come before 10am or after noon.she said she'll call me on Thursday to let me know.Of course she never called and I left a message that day about the appt. That Friday she called after 10am to say someone is coming. Very frustrating is a nice word to describe our experience with this company read more

The worst customer service I have ever received. Kept putting off the installation because he didn't know whonwasngoing to paint the door. They kept calling the wrong person about the paint. Planned after 3 weeks of put offs and excuses that the door would be installed Thursday or Friday of last week. I started calling Friday morning and called all day, no answer. Called Saturday no answer. Found out today he went on a cruise. How nice for him. He just lost my future business and also my children are ready for new windows so they lost that too. I can't believe he thought so little of his customers. Don't ever use him and he is way over priced. read more

Several years ago we were looking for a new front door to replace the ugly black metal door that came with our house. Rayco door owner Scott showed us lots of options and we finally settled on a blue door with leaded glass at the top. The shade of blue compliments the gray stone we have on the front of the house. We have received many compliments on the door and are very happy with it. We also replaced the door from the kitchen to the garage as the previous door was not fire resistant.
