The baristas were quick and friendly and dressed up as superheroes (it was Halloween). I got a couple of oat milk lattes to bring back to the group as well as a pound of their "No Sleep till Beacon" grounds and it was a hit all around. Last time I was here I think they ran the bagel by the toaster but that's it. This morning they didn't even bother. It's not an insult to want a fresh bagel toasted when you need a contrast in texture with the soft cream cheese and lox inside. Also, I always pay with cash and now that pennies are gone they are not rounding to the nearest five cents, they're just rounding it up regardless of what the number is. It's the nearest and most convenient bagel shop to my place but after having my request for having my bagel toasted ignored so often, I don't think I'll be coming back.
