    Nashville Hot Italian

Third times the charm? I know this may be a cold take review, and im fine with that. This craft sandwhich shop is whipping up some delicious looking sandwiches with fresh ingredients. That being said, I have not had super great experiences my past two times and thought it was significantly overrated for the price. The employees were also not very helpful the last to times. Yes I completely understand quality imported ingredients will always be more expensive, I just don't feel that those ingredients really added much to the overall in the taste of the sandwich. Today I got the Nashville hot in my last attempt to like this place, I keep trying it because everyone raves about it and I just felt like I HAD to be missing something. The employees were really helpful this time and actually seemed like they cared. The interior was packed right after opening. This time the sandwich was piled high with ingredients, much more than prior, I think the sandwich was good. Best one I have had yet but still not WOW like I see it raved about. I would give it 4/5 stars this visit. The turkey mixed with the heat paired with arugula was pretty tasty. I would go back, but I won't necessarily be going out of my way to get it again.

Be prepared to wait! This was a highly anticipated restaurant that opened two locations in Nashville. There were about 15 people in front of us and it took about 30 minutes waiting in line before getting to the front to place our order. Pros - fresh baked bread and meats are sliced for each sandwich order. Toppings are fresh and lots of options! Cons - you can't have more than one meat on a sandwich. The menu on the wall also does not include descriptions so make sure to grab a paper one so you can read what is on each sandwich and be prepared to order when you get to the window. Overall, it's a good sandwich place, but I don't know if it's worth the line in my opinion. I think there are other fantastic local spots that can receive business without the long waistline (and a second meat!).

Been looking forward to the opening for months! I've been to the Florence, Italy, location a few times. Florence loads on the sauces and such, where they skimped a bit here. Got two sandwiches. They heat up the bread when you order, and one of the sandwiches' bread was a bit on the crispy side causing my mouth to feel like it was getting cut up. It was steaming when it was sliced open. Friendly staff. Took our order to go. A bit overpriced unless they decide to start putting on more of the sauces and such. I added pictures of reviews from the Florence location showing how stuffed they make them. Nashville's were flavorful though.

came here a little bit ago and enjoyed this sandwich! I went on a saturday mid day and thankfully the line was pretty short. I had trouble choosing between several sandwiches and the staff was very helpful in helping me narrow down my choices. ultimately, I went with La Paradiso. All the ingredients including the bread were super fresh. the pistachio cream gave the sandwich a touch of sweetness and nuttiness that I very much enjoyed. I did find the sandwich to be rather small particularly for the price I paid, so that was a bit disappointing. Overall, though, it was a good sandwich but mind-blowingly so, so I am not sure I'd necessarily come back for another, but worth trying once!

SO GOOD. On my trip to Nashville, I stopped by here TWICE just so I could bring some home for my friends to try. The staff are super friendly and they usually let you sample whichever meat they are cutting up. I got to sample the prosciutto, and the cuts are so thin they literally melt in your mouth! I would recommend the La Dante 110%- there is truffle cream, arugula, and two different cured meats but it is so delicious. The bread is warm and so soft and fluffy, yet still the perfect crispy bite- texture 10/10. I definitely recommend stopping by, and I need to try the real deal in Italy!

This place definitely lives up to the hype! I was so excited to learn that this legendary florence sandwhich shop opened a location in Nashville. I came on a Wednesday afternoon and there was no line. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. We ordered the La dante and La Paradiso which I would both definitely recommend. The bread is freshly baked and the sandwiches are a massive portion. The ratio filling inside is perfect. 10/10 would recommend. Can't wait to return and try more of the menu!!

The sandwich was great! The focaccia bread was delicious. I got the Dante and I can't remember what my husband got, I think it was the last one of the menu. They were amazing!! They really nailed this.

Good food & good quality, very delicious sandwiches. The only issue which I think they can easily fix it is the employee who're making sandwiches are so slow, like being high slow! They're nice and friendly but taking for ever to make just one sandwich!

My fiancée heard about All'Antico Vinaio on TikTok and was excited to try it out. We stopped by after church on a Sunday and were met with a small line out the door, but it moved quickly. The weather was lovely, and we had time to look over the menu while we waited. Ordering was simple and efficient. The menu isn't overwhelming, which made deciding easy. The music was calm and not too loud, and even though the location is fairly small, we were able to find seating for our group of five. Food wise, we were all really happy. My mom and I got the Venice Beach, my little sister had La Favolosa, my future brother-in-law went with The New Yorker, and my fiancée ordered La Summer. Every sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and filling. Mine hit the spot, and my fiancée said his was perfect and didn't need a thing. The portions are generous, definitely big enough to share. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd absolutely recommend All'Antico Vinaio to anyone looking for a satisfying, casual bite.

Just visited this place...long lines...they are very slow....asked for mayo for my turkey sandwich and was told in a snobby way "we don't have mayonnaise"...he never asked me to substitute anything else. Focaccia was good but sandwich was very dry. The workers clearly do no want to be here.

I went in the middle of the day and didn't have to wait at all. Both of the sandwiches tasted so good and I can't wait to come back. It's not the biggest so if it's busy it's probably best to get ur food to go.

We know why it's packed now. The interior is stunning, the service was on point. Professional and personable at the same time. We had the pleasure of sitting outside on a beautiful evening. It was perfect. We started with the tuna tartare and marinated octopus. I'm iffy when it comes to octopus. If it isn't done right, it's horrific. This was so tender, sliced thin, and was a perfect bite with the chilled potatoes. The tuna tartare was equally as good, but the octopus stole show. The tuna has a burnt orange vinaigrette around the outside of the plate. It's more than just a garnish. Make sure you get a bite with the tuna. For dinner we had the bolognese, duck ragu, and braised short rib. All three dishes melted in your mouth. The duck was my favorite, I added a little whipped ricotta to each bite and it was just 10/10. For dessert I asked if they could make a pistachio martini, and gave them the ingredients. Their bartender hadn't heard of one, free poured it, and absolutely nailed it. The cannoli filling was too sweet and too thick for me. It tasted like thick buttercream icing. Personal preference, but I prefer a lighter filling. All in all, I would say don't walk to Luogo...RUN. Reservations are highly recommended.

Everything we ordered was really good. There's nothing on the menu that is bad tasting and we ordered so many different things that it became a blur. So on to the things I want to take note of: 1. The food is so darn rich and heavy especially if you don't order any vegetables or something acidic to cut the food. I think you really have to consider what you drink there at dinner. Super important in retro. 2. The experience is suppposed to be shared plates, tapas style which is to me a very interesting concept since when I think shared plates and Italian, I think huge plates with lots of pasta and lots of food. This is not the case. The sizes of the plates are not small but they're not big so the meal gets expensive real fast if you're with a bunch of dudes that eat like they just left the gym. We also had the calamari and the seafood pasta, which were both delicious. We have ordered the polenta bolognese before and loved it, but it felt a bit light on the bolognese today. We also really enjoyed the Crispy Cauliflower Piccata. Overall, this is a fun spot to come with your friends with very solid food! We ordered the bruschetta appetizer to start and some drinks. The appetizer came out promptly and was nicely done, with plentiful helpings of burrata and cherry tomatoes layered with balsamic pearls. The pearls have the appearance of caviar so it was a pretty and flavorful twist. Unfortunately, that was the end of the positives. Our dinner entrees included the chicken parmesan and grilled salmon. Both were overcooked and the salmon in particular (I asked for it to be rare in the center) was so throughly cooked it had a very grainy texture. The sauce was bland and the pasta overly soft. Complimented extremely well with any pairing crafted in the restaurant. The focaccia with garlic and balsamic was the perfect first bite to guide your experience as a shareable item. -Ricotta di Gnocchi: 5/5 Again, texturally pleasing bite that's met with a delicious sauce that's velvety, cheesy, and rich in flavor with the herbs meeting the palate cutting away the richness. Perfectly paired -Potato focaccia: 4.5/5 One of my favorite bites that's met with a lemon zest while staying rich and creamy, the focaccia is covered and smothered with this delicious sauce that's a cream of potato and met with Parmesan and lemon, 2 flavors you wouldn't expect to pair so well but compliment each other extremely well. All married to a golden brownie that's crispy to the bite and soft on the inside. Very well matched with each other and just a delicious bite to end the meal. I still remember every bite and can say that being from out of town, I would recommend this spot to anyone. Unique, amazing vibes in the restaurant, and just what I'd call a gem of a hole in the wall. Very well done!
