Allbritten has scammed my family and made our life miserable. They came out to do my annual furnace maintenance and told me I had a major issue with the system. Thus, they turned off my heater after telling me the problem saying they can't leave it on due to the risks associated and told me this is an expensive fix. I have a home warranty and told them I would see what could be done with that first. Home warranty contractor (they were awful) came out said there was no issue with the problem presented by Albritten and turned it back on. That night now my entire HVAC system was not working due to whatever joke of contractor AHS sent out. They came back out and could not fix whatever they screwed up. Another AHS contractor came out(they also said no issue with what Allbritten claimed) and they couldn't fix what they did! Now I am on the third AHS contractor who is trying to figure out what the issue is (oh they too said no issue at what Allbritten said!!!). So no HVAC at all the last week an a half due to Allbritten having said there was a problem and turning off my system. Three other companies said there wasn't an issue!! We've had to deal with this heat in our home and I got a young child. And yes I have called Allbritten multiple times to speak to a manager or supervisor... still no call!! They are a joke when they claim to care about the customer... They are clearly about commission and upselling issues to customers And sadly won't give their customers the time of day to at least hear what they have to say. After putting so much money into my old HVAC unit, we decided to get a new unit for our home built in 1979. We sought out two bids and decided to use Allbritten to install our new HVAc system. John Drolette, our salesman came out and gave us information for the unit install. For our home, he came up with a Carrier 2-speed 3.5 ton/16 seer unit based on our home size. We also replaced our 43 year old duct system upgraded to a R8 with added attic insulation. Our bundle package also included smoke detectors for the bedrooms, a CO2 monitor, weatherstripping for all doors, UV light in the Carrier unit to keep the circulating air clean and to top all this off, excellent customer service. Allbritten & Joseph Negrete thoroughly diagnosed and correctly repaired our furnace. My primary HVAC Co. said Heat Exchanger destroyed. 3-month wait time so need new furnace . $$$$. I called Allbritten for second opinion. Heat Exchanger had no damage, changed another part and repaired furnace. Allbritten took my call on Saturday, same day inspection, part ordered Monday and repaired Tuesday. I cancelled my service plan with the other HVAC Co. and signed up with Allbritten. Techs Shane and Lee were efficient and cleaned up at the end of the job. Advised me on every aspect of the job. Friendly service all around. The unit was matched to the HVAC system well. Quiet and efficient. Almost can't hear it running. Cost of the unit was a good value. Not the most expensive but the one that was right for the system. We had George Duran Jr. come out to our home to do a summer service on our AC unit and we were very pleased with his efficiency and professionalism as he completed the recommended summer service. He went out of his way to keep us informed on everything he was doing and was very meticulous in making sure he kept the work areas clean and neat. Recently I had my maintenance done on my equipment and the service person Gustavo Perez did a phenomenal job. He checked out all of my equipment thoroughly. I have Standard Poodles and had to continuously shift them around so that they wouldn't bark and bother my neighbors! Gustavo was very accommodating about this and I appreciate his understanding in the matter. I am so disappointed in myself for choosing this company to install our AC unit. We purchased our first home and our AC went out a month after moving in. I wanted a Carrier unit or a Bosch and like an idiot I let them talk me out of it because they said they could not get Bosch systems and if they tried it would be weeks without AC. Trusting the salesman I went with the suggest Goodman. AC was installed and the night they left it was not cooling and kept kicking into second stage. Tech was here until 10pm and could not fix it. He told me himself these units are no good because they are too smart. Next day comes and techs were here until 6pm and could not fix it. Finally they came to me and said they are going to help me out and offer me a new unit?! Well of course they should have done that. That should be standard practice. I asked for a carrier unit and again they tried to tell me it would be 7k more to put in a different Unit at this point because they would have to change the furnace. To make matters worse. They dinged up my walls, left insulation and screws all over, placed a fan vent somewhere I did not approve and it's hideous and not even with the other return right next to it.I could look passed all the above stated problems if I had an AC that was installed correctly and worked properly, accidents happen, but I don't have that. The ac was left installed completely crooked and to top it all off I have water leaking out of a pipe which they said they made a mistake and could fix the mistake and the day they said it was fixed it was still leaking. This company is too big for their own good. I picked them knowing they were far more expensive then my other quotes but I felt I was paying for the best customer service in the business with a good name to back them up. Unfortunately that is not the case anymore. As a first time home owner I made a major mistake. I now have a unit that leaks water everywhere, does not cool my home properly and when more problems arise they don't know how to fix it. Techs were very demeaning to my husband and I as they told us unfortunately we are the test subjects on this unit and the problems that come with it. If I could give zero I would. They missed the first appointment to service AC unit. Just didn't show up. Second visit the cut price in half to make up for not showing up the previous day. That was June 30. Today is July 15 and AC has quit working. Do you think they are coming out today ? Heck no! Earliest is on Monday. In 110-114 degree heat. I have a husband in bad health. A pregnant Australian Shepherd and dog sitting my sons 4 dogs. They all need AC and so do I. Will NEVER EVER use them again. read more

I am a satisfied customer of Allbrittens plumbing services so decided to use them for an electrical project. Requested installation of a fandelier, from a three wire box to a two wire fandelier. The installer was friendly and knowledgable. We just had our ceilings retextured and had removed our existing ceiling fan, we left the wires capped and exposed at the ceiling. It took the installer less than 30 minutes to install, it was 35 minutes from his arrival to departure. The cost for the installation was $482 for the half hour he was at the house, NOT a good value. I called to voice my displeasure, and received a phone call from the manager, Nick, who left a message. I called him back three times and left a message each time for him to call me back, he never did. I will not be using Allbritten's electrical services in the future! read more

Very fast response and very nice technician. Came out was very efficient had my unit diagnosed in about 20min. Bad capacitor showed me the problem with the capacitor was low voltage. But wanted 349.00 to replace it. Already had it out and new one in hand. New capacitor online was 20.00. I know businesses are there to make money and I understand this, i even understand marking up parts but 349.00? They had to reinstall the old one anyway so there was no more work involved. I dont mind paying for a service but 349.00 just seemed high to me. They got their 89.00 for a service call but missed out on a potential customer. Total would have been 438.00 plus tax to replace a capacitor. Im not upset at all just seems high to me and I couldn't justify it. They were very fast and very nice people. read more

Almost triple the cost of the other company for a main line cleaning. 89.00 for the estimate to come out and 200.00 for a total of 289.00 to do the 30 min job. I know there is probably a hour min, But the the other company we had the last time was 90.00 for the same job. They called me back while I was getting reamed by Allbritten. They said the same job now would of been 130.00. Another life lesson. If you want to save some money, don't call Allbritten. In response to your comment The other company has a higher rating. We've used Allbritten for many years and always has great service. Today will be the last time we use them. We were told they would be there in there around 930. They didn't show up until after 1230. All we needed was a simple drain roto routered due to a toilet backing up. We have a problem with roots in the yard. I told them upfront that was the reason. The technician finally arrived late after a previously scheduled time. When the technician called he wanted to so an entire plumbing inspection, not what we requested. He wanted to upsell everything. They wanted to charge us over 2300 to install a curb clean out and 660 to pull the toilet to roto the blockage. We were behind the eight ball as the house had 4 small kids and two very backed up toilets, so we went with the cheaper 660 because the problem needed taken care of. read more

We relied on their expertise and honesty but received neither. Our heater went out a few weeks ago and we immediately called Albritten as we have used them many times for both plumbing and heating issues. Eden came out and assessed the situation and he determined that our blower motor was failing and would need to be replaced. Our unit is 8 years old so it was a warranty repair, the part was covered but the labor was not included. The estimate was $1020. Eden said they did not know how long it would take to get the part so we called another company to see if the repair could be done sooner. The other company discovered that it was a simple clogged line, cleared it out, and had the heater working in less than an hour. Albritten wasted our time and would have charged us $1020 for an unnecessary repair. Fortunately, we only wasted $89 on their diagnostic fee. read more

Shows up at 11:00 so I have to cancel my appointment. Gives lame excuse that just returned from trip and had to get oil changed- like I care. Says office was supposed to call me and didn't. I requested their AC tune up for $69. The Technician was a five-star rating. However, he came back with a $1100.00, needed service on an 8-year-old unit. First was a run capacitor replacement cost for $451.00, and the Technician had the part in stock. Replacement time no more than 30 minutes from my experience of doing the same work back in the day. Too old to be climbing on roofs. The part cost ranges from $65-100 online. Current reading of capacitor was 96% of the rating of the capacitor. Double the cost to $200, that leaves almost $250 for labor. These prices were for the other issue state by the Technician. Replacement of a Hard Start Kit $401, part in stock and less than 30 minutes to replace. Again, if you double the cost, the range would be about $100 for the part. Total labor to correct these two issues, parts in stock in his truck, was over $500, for a maximum of one hour to replace. Just be careful of the add Ons after a $69, service special. read more

That I had to pay for this "service" visit (it was a sales visit) is a joke. They are quick to give you a quote and push the service quickly , but when it comes down to their rebates and financing , it's a joke . You can't apply for financing on your own . You HAVE to use their guy to submit you info . And forget any rebates they tell you about . They told us we would get a $600+ rebate from PGE , but someone in their office lost the paperwork . Needles to say they won't take responsibility for it and now we are out the rebate that was guaranteed to us . Instead they push the blame on everyone else . We had the A/c and air ducts replaced and still have poor air floor in the bedrooms and uneven temperatures in the house . read more

Okay, I really like the new HVAC system that Allbritten installed. It works great, it's quiet and efficient. That's why I'm giving this two stars instead of one. What I don't like is that the post-installation "support" is non-existent. I am being ghosted. The cover letter I got from their Install Operations guy promised "We will schedule all inspection corrections in a timely manner." I reported the results of the county inspection to Allbritten 20 days ago. I reported it twice, was told they'd get right on it. They haven't. They also spelled my name incorrectly in their "smart" system management program, promised me they'd figure out how to fix that. Apparently they haven't, because it's still spelled wrong. I will give them credit for sending out lots of spam advertising their services. I wish I could say the something good about their actual post-installation services, but I haven't seen any yet. read more

I live in the Bay Area and a friend of mine who has had problems with her A/C not cooling her home. Although she has a newer unit every year, she needed to have someone come out and put freon in and it worked for a short time. On her behalf I called a few companies in the Kingsburg and Fresno Area. Prior to this she had a HVAC company (who was servicing the A/C) give her a bid of over $10K to replace the A/C and furnace. The first company I called came out and wanted to charge her around $1,600 to "diagnose" the problem. Allbritten was recommended by a friend in the Kingsburg area. My friend called me last night to say that Allbritten fixed the problem and she is so thankful. She said the men that came out were very polite and explained what they were doing to fix the issue. Allbritten has saved us on multiple occasions. We use their AC and heater maintenance service and with that you get a discount on other repairs and priority service calls, and that has been such a huge help! We've had our kitchen sink plumbing clog, which caused water to run out at our washing machine and they came out same day and fixed it super quickly. Two summers ago our AC motor died, and they also came out same day to help. Their prices are reasonable, their staff are well-trained and friendly. And they even use a great system that lets you know when your repair person is arriving and who is arriving with a photo, which is a great safety feature. Honestly, if an issue comes up in our house (which is 50+ years old) we don't even think of calling anyone else - they're the best! read more
