Allbritten has been my go to for 10 years. This time I needed a whole new ac/heating system for a ton of money, $15,400. I had just had surgery and had no time to shop around. They were great, working 2 whole days. SHANE and ELIJAH worked in and out of the boiling not attic the were inobstrusive, courteous and knew what they were doing. As I always said about Allbritten, they aren't the cheapest, but they do the job right. Now i'm waiting to see if my bill is helped by a newer system (mine was 20 yrs old). I needed GFI outlets installed and power restored to outlets in the kitchen/3 bathrooms/1 bedroom as well as in the living room.

Had issues with our heating system. Allbritten sent their maintenance tech Koi out to run codes. He came back and told us the furnace board was the only issue. He swapped ONLY the old board with the new board and spark some additional issues. Told us additional parts had to be ordered but was never specific or clarified why additional parts were needed. Was told parts wouldn't be delivered until the following week. I called and spoke to Tommy (call center manager) and asks what parts. He informed me inducer, transducer. I said I didn't want the same tech and wanted to speak with an additional manager regarding this matter. Got a call from Lance the next day (Monday). Asked him also what parts were ordered. He said transducer and board. I was confused because Tommy told me inducer and transducer and now Lance was telling me the transducer. And that when Koi swapped out the board he should have swapped out the board and transducer because they come as a kit (just repeating what was said to me by Lance). I told him I was not going to pay for the blower wheel cleaning fee because it's inconvenient for my family and I having to wait an entire week for someone to have this issue fixed when we could of had it fixed from another CARRIER brand dealer/expert, Lance understood and said he would be able to compensate us for that inconvenience. When they sent a diagnostic tech (Matthew) and Koi (maintenance tech) back out to fix the problem (Wednesday), Matthew fixed the issue, but then wanted to still charge me for the original fee I was quoted for. I told him I already spoke with the manager and said I wasn't doing that. He said well then I would have to pay the other price of the inducer motor, transducer and board being swapped which was $1300, $300 more than the initial $1k quote. So I said no! Told them to get their manager on the phone. He refused until I persisted. He said if his manager really said they wouldn't charge us for the blower wheel cleaning then he can listen to the recording and I said go ahead, listen to your recording because it was discussed on 11/25/25 around 1350.Their maintenance manager (Lance) finally came to the phone on Matthew's call (coward) and basically said he never said that, and I said yes he did after explaining to him the inconvenience of waiting for his team to have parts and come back to repair leaving my family in the cold for a damn near week, when I could of and should have called around to have someone else come fix it. All in all, don't trust this company. I had them take out their system and leave. I don't trust a company who don't uphold to their words for their customers. They're shady with their words and obviously they have techs who have no sense in what they're doing. Make sure to go to another company that actually knows what they're doing and has all the parts already available to fix your HVAC problems. All they want to con you with their poor services by trying to make you pay for their fuck ups and trying to con you into a discount of paying $20/month for an Allbritten tech to only come out twice a year to service your system. read more

He took the time to ask questions and listen to our concerns. He explained the maintenance to be done (HVAC) and completed it in a timely manner. 01/13/2024--In the last 2 years I have purchased a new split ac/heater and had new plumbing installed in my entire house for a total of over $25,000.00. One year after new plumbing was installed a pipe broke and flooded my kitchen. The Allbritten tech came out and replaced a portion of the pipe, in his report which I have he states the pipe was chipped caused by manufacturer defect or installation tech error. I left numerous phone messages for the owner or manager to contact me, I have never received any reply. I was then out another $1,000.00 for my insurance deductible. I am a senior widow who believed and trusted this company. So disappointed. Update--01/07/2025 --I had to call another heating/ac company because my two year old furnace from Allbritten is not working. The technician also pointed out some things that were not done correctly. Leo Camara came up today to perform our annual maintenance on our HVAC system. He was perfectly professional, very kind and knowledgeable about OUR system. He performed a very thorough examination of the system before proposing that we change out aa Capacitor to ensure a longer future for our condenser. He changed filters, ensured the appropriate levels of coolness in the vents and thoroughly also checked out the heater. Leo was in no hurry. Update: New owners- I wanted to give them more stars (Johnny Zapata is very kind and knowledgeable) but overall working with this company was not a good experience for us. Companies evolve and I hope the new owner (daughter of the second owner) allows Jimi, their ops person, who handles issues in the field along with bad reviews to bring in QC training for his team - from the initial call to the techs in the field. Inexperienced plumbers need to have senior plumbers accompany them on ALL calls. In the meantime, if you call this company, please ask how much experience the plumber has that will be scheduled for your job and make sure you get all estimates in writing - they can email it to you while you are on site and how the work being "done" will AFFECT their one year warranty. read more

I've had Albritton A/C installation and service going on 10 years. I've purchased their extended warranty service every year. The service is supposed to include maintenance, repair and labor. It's very expensive. They consistently have over the years tried to make recommendations that they say is outside of the highly priced warranty agreement on each visit. I would not recommend them, because there's less expensive and better quality service companies. Always trying to upsell on everything. read more

I received a coupon in the mail for an early season service special recently . I calle Allbritten to service my a.c. unit. It took them six weeks to come out and service the unit. Once they arrived I was told my a.c. unit was no good and out of freon, they could however get a salesman out the following day to sale me a new one. 1500,00 dollars. I called another company for a second opinion and was told the unit had Freon and could be repaired, for 3,000.00. I contacted one more company as the diagnoses were completely different. VERY DISAPPOINTED in Allbritten's customer relations. After paying LOTS of money to have a tankless water heater installed in my home in July 2024. I had Allbritten return today after discovering the vent THEY had disconnected from my old water heater was allowing water to drip into my garage when it rains. The tech that came out was very pleasant and made a "temporary fix". He provided me with a quote for an actual repair. He left only to return 30 minutes later to inform me that he was told to return to my home and collect a service fee because it was not a part that they had installed. He informed me that he was able to talk "them" into a discounted price. Well Allbritten I hope that service fee was worth loosing a customer. NEVER AGAIN will I use your company and I will definitely inform anyone that asks about plumbing heating or cooling to stay away from your company! I can't speak highly night about this company. Everyone who has come out to our house has been kind, helpful, and generous. Alan L and Anthony N did our install and they were amazing. First, it is 110 in Fresno and these guys worked hard, cleaned up, and gave us a ton of information about our new system. Also, Andrew P (the first technician) and Matthew D (last technician during install) were knowledgeable and helpful. Allbritten used to be good and reasonable but now they are very expensive and tried to tell me there were other leaks that didn't exist. They charged me $946 for a service call and installing a toilet that costs $231 on EBAY and $118 in Plumbers Stock so in essence they charged me 4 to 8 times the cost for installation. I would never ever call them again as the installer was also rude and now Allbritten has you give the installer the credit card info instead of them. Something is fishy about that. read more

Had Allbritten over to check heater not blowing hot air. Tech diagnosed the problem as faulty part. They wanted $650.00 to replace this part. I found and ordered the part on Amazon for 25.00. UPDATE......Re: My Complaint Against Allbritten My complaint (which you can read below) was heard by a manager...and the problem has been rectified! I received a phone call, manager seemed sincere and apologetic....And he was going to look into making sure such a thing never happened again. Then he went out of his way to make everything RIGHT. In other words, I got more than just an apology! Sooooo....I'm not so cranky anymore :) The 'ol complaint is below.... Allbritten CAUSED our shower pipe to become clogged???!! (Read the bottom part as a warning to you!) Long-time customer 15+ years...Allbritten was my go-to for plumbing and A/C service. Last week, I paid $363 for a plumber to just check the condition of some of our pipes with their fancy little camera (it's an old house). He said he wasn't able to see a lot...Cause the pipes were pretty dirty and had a lot of build up. Several times he would say "Hmm...Let me see if I can push through that stuff for you". I asked him, "If you push that stuff until you can't push any more....Isn't it possible you're going to create a clog?" He assured me that wouldn't happen. Folks, the next day our shower was clogged (we hadn't had a clog for 7 months!) Am I to think it was all just a coincidence??? I called the next day (July 4th)....Their on-call operator said that they don't have a SINGLE plumber on-call on the 4th of July. Wow! Allbritten is a pretty big company! Not a SINGLE plumber? Okay....hmmm....Whatever. I asked her to just make a call to a manager (she said she would send an email instead)....And I simply wanted to know this: Do I have to hire someone else to clear the clog? Or is Allbritten willing to come out and clear the pipe? You know what their answer was? (Drum roll, please!) They didn't get back to me. THE END! Yup....it's been 5 days....No call, no email. WARNING: The last time Allbritten came out to do a routine "service maintenance" on our AC unit. It felt more like a SALES call. It was ridiculous! On and on the guy goes....Trying to sell me stuff. (btw...The AC unit was fine...it didn't need anything) You know what I got last week when the guy brought his fancy camera? In addition to the clogged pipe I believe he helped create....He kept trying to SELL me a $4,000 pipe cleaning service. Look....Allbritten technicians seem like nice guys. But they are nice guys looking to SELL you thousands of dollars worth of stuff (I'm not the only one...See YELP reviews of other people complaining of the same thing!). We recently had 2 HVAC units installed in March 2024. We are currently experiencing issues where both systems shut off and lock the system down. Allbritten is saying it is a software issue with the Trane units and there is nothing they can do until a part comes in from Trane. I was also told by the technician that there are over 50 other customers that are experiencing the same issue. There is no ETA for resolution on the part or when it will be fixed. It is over 110 degrees and this is ridiculous that our units are not working as they should. The solution from Allbritten is for me to go outside and disconnect both units from the power and let them rest for 5 mins then reconnect and try again. Both units are going down multiple times a day due to the compressors over amping which is causing the shut down. It's been impossible to get any manager from Allbritten to return my phone call or provide a resolution. This is the worst customer service! I regret spending over $56K with them. Now it gets cold. The electric unit (the best they sell) doesn't work below 40 degrees outside!!! It freezes and doesn't work till it thaws around 10:30 in the morning! So forget showering before work, the house is 62 degrees. I actually said to the technician, "you are telling me my heat doesn't work when it's cold?" And he explained why again. I had my entire home AC system, including ventilation, replaced by Allbritten. Initially, everything seemed fine, but issues began to arise just a few weeks after the installation. Since then, I have repeatedly called them about similar problems, only to have my concerns dismissed as insignificant. They sent out several techs, many of whom were trainees, who downplayed my issues and suggested that they might be addressed at my next service appointment. From the beginning, certain components of my new AC system were running high, which their techs acknowledged could cause problems. However, they refused to replace anything until it completely failed. I don't understand why they would wait for a minor issue to become a major problem. One major issue was with the AC fan, which had seized. None of the techs, including a manager, could diagnose the problem despite spending hours at my home. Finally, just before my warranty expired, they sent another tech who identified the issue with the fan within seconds. The part was replaced by a trainee who wasn't even certified yet, but the manager assured me it was fine since he would be present--although he wasn't. When I asked what would happen if the part failed again after the warranty expired, I was told I would have to pay for it, even though the fan had been problematic from the start. As expected, the same fan issue resurfaced a week later. When I called for service, they said I would have to pay. Additionally, they now claimed the part running on a high load needed to be replaced immediately to avoid further issues--something I had previously asked them to address. To add to my frustration, a gas leak was discovered, which the previous techs had missed. Their quote to fix the gas leak, the fan, and the high-load part was more than what I paid for the entire new system. I strongly discourage anyone from using Allbritten. They are neither reliable nor trustworthy. Despite having all records of phone calls and invoices to substantiate my claims, they refused to help me. Now, I'm stuck with a malfunctioning AC system that should have been properly addressed when the issues first arose. So much for their motto, "Happy customers make happy employees," right? read more
