I've been coming here for the last two years and he is always done a good job checking up my eyes and making sure everything is good. I've been unfortunately given bad eyesight from my mom. The office is quite small and they don't have a huge selection of glasses that fits my face well. The location of has a ton of parking, which is nice. The reason for the 4/5 stars it's because the frames that were recommended for my glasses were good for all of six months. Unfortunately, because it is made out of some kind of plastic or acrylic the arm broke off this morning. I would think that they offer some kind of one year warranty as I feel like that's pretty standard for most things, but it was made known to me that they only offer a two month warranty and that it would be out-of-pocket to buy new replacement frames. I ultimately decided not to do that and just use my other pair of glasses. I guess I'll have to wait until next year to get new frames but I might go elsewhere for a better selection.

I have poor, complicated vision due to several problems such as Meibobian Gland Dysfunction, Dry Eye syndrome, and eye allergies in my heavily astagmatic and myopic eyes. As a result, at age 35 I'd given up on reaching anything close to adequate vision! I was about to go under the knife for Lasik because in all of my years at various optometrists, no one could ever bring my vision anywhere near other people's. And every other optometrist I'd been to just threw up their hands... it appeared contacts simply could not correct vision as poor as mine. Dr. Michelle Cho showed them all wrong. After walking in off the street and getting a comprehensive contact lens exam, Dr. Cho had me seeing better than I had since I was ten. A couple follow-ups later and I can FINALLY say, for the first time in 3 decades: I can see "20-20"!! I never imagined this would be possible for me without surgery. Michelle had to keep ordering me more and more specialized, practically custom astigmatism contacts and then evaluating exactly how they sat in my eye & how much they moved when I blink to find the perfect, customized prescription for my vision and eye health. So I reached out to Spectacle Optometry in Orange County, because I saw on their website that they carry or can order MODO frames. Spectacle came through! I was able to order my exact frame, in the exact color, directly from them. I gave them my prescription, and they asked me via email a few questions about lens preferences. This is another area where I wanted something very specific (surprise, surprise), and Spectacle was able to dial in my lenses to my exact specifications. When you wear glasses all the time like me, I feel that it's important to love your glasses. I absolutely love mine! Spectacle Optometry was wonderful to work with, especially considering that I couldn't visit them in person because I live more than 1,800 miles away. Unfortunately, what they lack ends up a longer list. The first MA was unable to get a vial of blood and said someone else would try on my other arm with a straight needed (vs butterfly). She left me without even putting a bandaid on the arm she poked and I had to struggle to put the bandaid on one handed while still maintaining pressure on it. Next MA comes and draws blood and when she's done she yelps I don't have a cotton ball (to put on the vein she just drew out of) and my blood is just pooling while she puts a bandaid on. Luckily I'm well versed enough to know I needed to put pressure on my bandaid. The NP who saw me was new to (per the MA) she really didn't put my mind at ease. Her expertise and knowledge seemed lacking based on the answers to my questions. First thing she asked me was, why are you here and not the ER? I told her my PCP sent me here because she didn't feel it necessitated a ER visit. She wanted me to be evaluated by YOU to assess and in your medical opinion, do I need to be seen further or what course of action next? She swabbed me for flu and covid and I verbally questioned her because I had isolated severe GI symptoms. She said sometimes those present wither GI only. Does it? I don't know, I'm not an MD but I'm also someone who works in healthcare and it didn't feel like the proper procedure. When I asked if she would be ordering any stool samples, I heard through my closed door "do we do that?". Ok, she's new, I'll give her that...but she comes back in and says "if you'd like to have the order for stool testing I'm happy to give that to you." Am I the md or am I the patient? I came here for your professional medical opinion! Do I?! So after I kindly communicated that I am looking to her for her opinion as the expert whether or not my symptoms necessitate an order, she still doesn't quite give me a direct answer! I haven't been to that many urgent cares, but I've come to see a trend that many of the urgent cares that are owned by a company with multiple locations don't have MD's on staff physically there. That said, I've also noticed the trend that many provide sub-par care.

He let me know that if the copay for my medication at CVS was too high, I could call the office and he would gladly prescribe an alternative that was more affordable. The two ladies helping me with that process were great, they were very helpful in explaining things. I was seen quickly, within 10-15 minutes of my arrival. Sergio helped with taking my vitals and noting my symptoms. He repeated my blood pressure test after the first one was pretty high. He encouraged me to relax in between and breathe deeply. Of course, the second reading was better. He was very professional and compassionate! I saw Dr. Victor Nekrasov, who did a thorough examination and discussed the symptoms I've been having. I felt that his questions were good, and I did not feel rushed at all during my time with him. He prescribed a few meds, and I was on my way. They confirmed which pharmacy I preferred, and I opted for CVS located across the street. I was encouraged to return to the clinic and/or follow up with my PCP if symptoms did not improve. It was a very good experience overall, and I would not hesitate to return or recommend this facility to others.

The office is clean and the first time my husband and I came our experience was great. 2 years ago Groupon had a great deal for an eye exam and that's how we found out about them, the staff was friendly and we found a pair of frames (the price for them was steep, but we loved them) they arrived on time and everything went well. However my latest visit to them Dec. 30th 2015 I felt completely bamboozled, I went for another eye exam and was going through the whole process, when contacts were brought up, the doctor had asked if I had been interested and I said yes because of my 1 year old constantly messing with my face, but had thought my astigmatism prevented me from wearing them. The optometrist said "great, I'll have someone bring you contacts to try on and we'll see if they fit and how you feel. " so I tried them on, sat in front of the 1 or 2 machine for less than a minute and he said "yup, they fit great" and I was sent to the front for frames for my new lenses. It wasn't until the girl upfront was going over everything that I found out that for the 5 minutes I spent trying on these contacts and the 30 second follow up I had would cost me $106 dollars, which to me is insane! I had no idea that this wasn't a part of the overall eye exam and there was no lack of opportunity for them to mention that this would be an additional service. Had it been around $20 I could understand a slip like that since I obviously keep the pair contacts (which a 90 day supply would have cost $86 btw), but I did 99% of the work for this exam, so to find out that I'm being charged almost triple in add'l charges, I was really bothered by that. So I went from feeling really great and taken care of to hoodwinked and stupid in a matter of seconds. So overall they are not bad, but my advice based on my latest experience is to ask more questions and not make the same mistake/assumptions that I did. I ended up paying $149 for what should have been a $43 visit ($63 if you add the hypothetical $20 I would have been ok with paying) and threw $100+ out the window. read more

Used a Groupon for eye exam/glasses, but the groupon really only covers the exam (which was very well done) and a very limited selection for the frame allowance. Where it hits you is with the lenses. Even with the Groupon, and a low end frame, you will end up dropping another $200 for a pair of glasses that you can get elsewhere online for much less. The staff is friendly, but they are definitely there for sales, not as optical assistants. If you are OK with spending a few hundred on name brand frames/lenses, then this place is a good choice. GOOD - friendliness of staff, good doctor, clean environment, good high end selection NOT SO GOOD - location, price, not the most comfortable waiting area, a little pushy with the sales techniques read more

I have been getting my eyes checked on a regular basis and am pleased with the service and quality of care. I highly recommend this group they have a wide variety of frames for glasses. The staff is excellent and the technology is state of the art. I have some issues with glaucoma and a family history of the disease. Dr Austin detected an increase of pressure in my right eye. He prescribed eye drops as a preventive measure and we are monitoring the eyes at each exam. The pressure has decreased and it feels like I'm in good hands. read more

Very friendly staff, latest equipment...but I got a Lvg Social Deal that I used for the eye exam, however like others here - did not get glasses from them. OK selection, but nothing I liked. Explained that the last place I got glasses, I felt pressured to buy frames that I did not like. Didn't want to do that again. Said I could come back in a month to check availability of different frames, but when you need glasses, that just doesn't work. I have been going here for many years. My mother started going here and she told me about Dr. Austin after I started college because working on the computers it was very hard on my eyes. I finally gave in to getting contacts this past while and although it was a difficult transition the staff was very patient with me and understand and was very helpful of finding the right solution for me at the time.
