We asked a ways off near Pet Food Express and it would have been a bit of a walk for someone with a cane or a walker. I always thought of these type of shoes stores are for the geriatric people, but as I get older I'm more drawn to these types of shoe stores. I had a case of planter fasciitis so I'm extra careful of the shoes I wear these days. I'm now drawn to orthopedic shoes, and shoes with arch support. I wasn't really paying attention, but according to my husband the whole shoe store had only women's shoes that we could see. They had some nice shoes on sale, but they were still really pricy, all around the $100 mark. I did find 2 pairs that looked like the ones I have at home, but different colors. They are nice, but you can feel every pebble you walk over so in the end they really aren't hat comfortable. I haven't had cute sandals in years. I have functional hiking/water type shoes, The heavy duty type Teva and Keens, both great for hiking and water activities, but definitely not cute or sexy sandals. Reminisced about our first time walking into a running store 15-20 years ago and being fitted for proper shoes. Glad this place is close by for new runners too! We talked with the employees about fun races we've done in the past, including Disney, Cowtown (now Urban Cow), CIM, Shamrock, etc. Good memories.
