The go kart racing was fun, however we noticed there were a couple of go karts that were signicantly slower than others. They have plenty of arcade games that were fun, including skeeball, axe throwing and a water shooting game. We played a frame of bowling and got a quarter through another game before the system timed out. I liked that they have different styles for bowling. The day pass for Alleycats is affordable as well. We look forward to returning.

The only thing that costs is the shoes but they do not have toddler shoe sizes 7 and under (fyi). Which is fine make sure to bring their tennis shoes. Anyway, kids had a blast and it was nice to play a few arcade games. I do wish they had more short toddler friendly games. The prize variety is great too. If you're expecting old school arcade games like Free Play Arcade, you'll be disappointed. If you want to be transported to Japan via Arlington, read on. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Step into the world of the Japanese arcade. As you walk in, you'll notice claw and Gachapon machines tempting you to play and win something. There's Japanese pop music piping through the speakers, and a dedicated room full of imported Japanese arcade games add more sounds. There's also a dedicated bar and dining area. It was relatively empty at 12:30 PM on a Friday. But it's also simply INCREDIBLE if you're into Japanese culture. You're not in DFW anymore. 2 Star. Service - There's a friendly bartender, if you want to order drinks (I did not). Otherwise, you place your order at a kiosk, grab a numbered puck, and then grab a seat. When your puck starts making a sound, your food will be ready at the windows. Heads up, if you leave you table unattended the staff with clean up so others can sit. They're very efficient. 1 Star. Food - Let me first say, if you're looking for the Free Play Arcade experience, you will be disappointed. If you're looking to be transported to a Japanese arcade (me) this place is awesome. The kiosks are very straight forward; you can order packaged ramen to ramen made in house. I went with the Street Tonkatsu. The broth was mild (not overly salty), and the pork belly was very tender. I also ordered the Tokyo Station Tacos. The JBBQ pulled pork was surprisingly tasty, but I couldn't help but long for a Chinese Bao instead of a tortilla. But what impressed me the most was the booth we sat in. It was connected to a monitor, and we could access a bunch of SNES games. 1 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes! Tokyo Station is my kind of jam. The only thing that gave me concern is that it wasn't very busy on a Friday. I hope this concept stays, because it's the closest thing to a Japanese arcade besides flying to Japan. 1 Star.

They did have a decent selection of pinball machines...however they are NOT included in the free play. I was a little surprised but also disappointed that pinball was extra... The cost for the "free play" is a little pricey compared to Cidercade...if we are comparing size and what's included. I also think that it helps to have an interest in japanese video games, which I do not. This is a really small arcade which did make it hard to move around and there were lines for the popular games, unfortunately, the overall experience was not really that exciting. The service at the bar was the great, the bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. There is a separate area for the free play and the kids working the counter were mostly on their phones unless someone walked up to them.

Fantastic Family Fun -- and Beware of the Claw Machines!…read more For our grandson's 9th birthday, we decided to venture to Cidercade Fort Worth, and what a fantastic choice! Admission was $12 per person, and nearly all the arcade games are included with admission. Play as much as you want! We easily spent 3-4 hours here, and everyone had a great time. With the Texas temperatures blazing outside, an air-conditioned arcade was also a pretty darn good place to spend the afternoon! There is a huge selection of games with plenty for both kids and adults. Basketball, racing, classic arcade games--you can wander around for hours. Then my son-in-law discovered the claw machines. Once he started, it snowballed into stuffed toy after stuffed toy. By the time he was finished, we had enough stuffed animals spread across the table to open our own toy store! Be warned, though: the claw machines are NOT included with admission and you pay separately to play. Apparently nobody bothered explaining that to my son-in-law before he went into full claw-machine domination mode! We also ordered pizza, and it was very good. It's a thin-crust style, loaded with toppings and made for a perfect break between games. Of course, with a name like Cidercade, we had to sample the cider! There were plenty of choices, and the ones we tried were very good. For $12 admission and several hours of entertainment, I think Cidercade is an outstanding value. More importantly, our grandson had a fantastic birthday outing and the entire family enjoyed themselves. The atmosphere is unique, and the combination of old school arcade games with a mix of newer games makes it easy to lose a couple of hours here. There is a really good variety, so whether you are into classic arcade nostalgia or something newer, there is plenty to keep you entertained. The food was another pleasant surprise. Everything we tried was really tasty, and considering the affordable pricing overall, it makes for a pretty budget friendly outing. The Fort Worth location is also convenient, which makes it an easy spot to add to a day or evening out. My biggest complaint is that it can get pretty crowded, especially during busier times, which takes away from the experience a little when you are trying to play some of the more popular games. Also, if you are visiting during the Texas summer, be prepared for it to get hot inside. With all the people, games, and activity, the temperature can definitely become noticeable. Overall, though, I would absolutely come back. Great atmosphere, tons of games, good food, and an affordable price point make this a solid Fort Worth outing.

This is just a really fun place. There are arcade games, laser tag, and whirly ball. My work group…read morewas there for whirly ball. They have some great packages. There was another company there using the other whirly ball court, they were on the same kind of 3 hour package as us, except their package came with and Olive Garden buffet and ours came with a Blue Mesa buffet. It was really good, delivered hot and set up in warming trays. Our package also came with an open bar (bottles only, includes free bottle sodas if you don't drink). The people are soooo nice. The whirly ball guy we had, older gentleman, super fun operator. We had a good time with him. The lady and guy behind the drink counter were so friendly, big smiles every time. If you're done with boring team events, this is excellent for team building and doesn't break your team budget. I hope we go back next quarter.
