    Italian sandwich

This is such a beautiful cafe! The inside is modern and spotless. We were instantly taken aback by the friendliness of the baristas-- I think they recognized that this was our first time at Allez and were excited to give us the lay-down. I really appreciated the table of free water, sugar, milk, and take-out boxes and cups. I got the Italian sandwich and it was phenomenal. I loved the focaccia. My cappuccino was also tasty. I can't wait to come back here!

We stopped in right before closing, and despite it being right before 3 pm, the staff couldn't have been kinder. They happily made us a sandwich to go so we wouldn't keep them any longer. The Jamón Sandwich was excellent. It was like a cacio e pepe flavor profile but in sandwich form, with the ham adding a perfect salty richness. Before we headed out, they even offered us a few pastries on the house! Thoughtful service, great food, and a place absolutely worth trying.

A great lunch spot! Located downtown they are a good spot to meet someone or have a nice cozy lunch by yourself. I got a sandwich and soup. The soup surprised me how flavorful it was. The sandwich paired really well with the soup too. I can't wait to go back and have it again! The vibe inside is so cozy and welcoming.

We were visiting Cincinnati for a day, and I had my eye on this cafe. The service was excellent. We absolutely loved the cashier/barista. The food was delicious. They had high quality ingredients and great portion sizing. The price point was also very fair. There was plenty of seating and great natural lighting inside. I would definitely recommend giving Allez Cafe a try if you're ever in town!

I was recommended this cafe and at first I was worried about the small menu. However, everything we tried was delicious! Friendly counter service and we opted to sit at the bar. I had the turkey sandwich which is delicious in house made focaccia. My husband had the ham and bean soup with extra bread. The bread is incredible and worth it to stop just down the block at their bakery to take home a loaf. No crumbs were left behind! The cafe is lively and bright with their windows and the service was so friendly. I will have to come back to try the other items.

Had the mushroom bahn mi today for lunch and it slapped. The bread ruled. Perfect level of chewiness. I had it for takeout so I don't know about the service and ambiance. Loved the mayo on it also. Will be back.

Second visit here and it's still a wonderful experience! This time we came a bit earlier and enjoyed items on the breakfast menu. Hubby had the breakfast sandwich. The egg was fluffy, focaccia bun was delicious, and the prosciutto cotto balanced it out. My Serrano ham toast was yummy as well! The fresh salsa verde was so good! I had a latte and hubby had a flat white. They use Sister's Coffee Co. beans, and our coffees were beautiful with a smooth taste. Service was personable and efficient. Great experience overall!

Popped in to Allez cafe today! I got the pumpkin chai latte iced and the chocolate espresso cookie. Both were amazing. The chai was not too sweet or artificial tasting it was bomb and I would definitely get it again. The chocolate cookie had big pieces of flaky salt on it and it was obviously delicious. My friend got a slice of their banana bread and it was also great. The staff were friendly and we got everything super quickly!

Casual cafe in a central spot. We had a good experience here. Everyone is super friendly and the food was great. The interior is well decorated and there's a good amount of seating. Great for get-togethers or a solo work session. Would definitely recommend!

I tried the Cubano and the Italian. These two hot sandwiches were the perfect meal on a cool spring afternoon. Allez Cafe has the chill atmosphere everyone looks for in a cafe. The focaccia was light and airy, containing a fine balance of ingredients inside. Stopping by Allez Cafe for a quick lunch might not do it justice. Next time, I'll stay a bit longer and have a coffee too.

Always a line but always moved quick. Everyone who works here always seems like they enjoy their job. The food is so good and the inside is light and airy on a sunny day. And anywhere that serves Hen of the Woods chips gets a thumbs up from me

Artisan bread is a catch 22. By itself, you can really appreciate it. As the bun for a sandwich, it can often be too tough to bite through. Unfortunately, that's the experience that I had at Allez. Fortunately, I ate the Italian sandwich open faced and it was all good. The baguette was even tougher on the Jambone Beurre, but the toppings on the inside were even better. The open faced technique on this sandwich isolated the layer of bread and helped me taste the herby butter that lined it. This hipster-vibed interior and clientele fit the OTR neighborhood. Could be worth a visit if coffee and/or artisan breads are your version of a good time.

The menu in general is small but full of classic American food with a bit of a modern twist. We also really enjoyed the fountain soda machine. It's great that they use a local company instead of just using Coke-a-Cola! The ordering system is different than at most restaurants (you order at the counter before getting served at your seat), but the line moves quickly. What was especially awesome about our experience at Northstar was the service. There was a very slight mistake on our order (a burger that we asked for no cheese came with cheese), and, although we didn't mind at all, Northstar went above and beyond to make it right.

I stopped by to get a salad for lunch and it was made wrong twice but they handled it so promptly and very kindly. I felt bad but they reassured me it wasn't my fault. I recently had an issue with a local restaurant where the owner berated me for a mistake they made so this was such a breath of fresh air. I'm a faithful customer and I'll continue to come back. Excellent place for my family. P.S. the Kenwood salad, enchiladas, fish sandwich, and margherita pizza add prosciutto are some of my favorites! Honestly everything on the menu is good, you won't be disappointed.

The good first, though: Whatever the flaws in its business model, Green District still turns out well-conceptualized salads that always seem fresh and tasty. The Hide & Go Greek is a very nice chicken one with a robust, terrific dressing. The Thai One On salad is (you guessed it) an Asian-influenced one with shrimp, lots of cabbage and cilantro, and a kind of generic but fresh-tasting Asian-style ginger-heavy dressing. Also very good. Fortunate thing you can order online and don't have to verbalize those unwieldy salad names to a fellow human. (But if you think those names are bad, another one wants you to hold its beer: the Tequila Mockingbird.). Anyway, the food gets this to three stars, but only barely. Alas, the service at this location is a shambles. Count on at least a 35-minute wait, even if you order right after 11am, when things presumably ought not to be backed up. And it looks like chaos back there--just not enough employees back there, most likely. Last time it took this restaurant an incomprehensible 50 minutes to get my salad out. (Who with a regular lunch "hour" downtown has time for this?) Credit to the unflappable and put-upon young fella at the end of the line; he kept doing his job steadily and kept cheerful about it. The manager is always madly rushing about and isn't nearly as cheery (but it almost certainly isn't her fault, either). It astonishing that the food can be is good as it is in this environment. There's something very wrong about this restaurant's business model when the family-run lunch spot down the street (seemingly just as many orders) can crank out your to-go salad (as good as here, for the most part) in three to five minutes and be as friendly as they can be about it. Whoever came up with the plan has some major issues to resolve.
