Delicious food. Very friendly server. Would love more vegetarian brunch options but otherwise a great spot for Father's Day!

Cozy spot on a rainy night in downtown after an evening at the museum. The food highlights were the seasonal tagliatelle dish and the bread. I was driving so I ordered a "fauxjito," which was refreshing and tasty. Everyone from the hosts to our server provided excellent service. Would absolutely go back!

I was at Crowne Republic Gastropub as soon as it opened on a Saturday - there were a couple of other folks waiting with. me. I had already checked out the menu before arriving, so I knew what I wanted. When I arrived, I was asked if I wanted to sit at the bar - I really didn't want to because you don't really have much of a view there, but it is what it is. I understand not wanting to take up a multi-top table for just one person. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy, which was fantastic and full of flavor. The addition of a sunny-side of egg was perfect! Drew was my server and he was great - and very friendly. A great experience!

Every once in a while, you're fortunate enough to stumble upon a restaurant that A: you haven't been to before, and B: exceeds your expectations. This place was both for Sunday brunch today. The service? Impeccable. (We got an apology for having to wait 10 minutes to be seated, but we were seated at our reservation time. Who does this? People that CARE!) The food? Delicious! The choices? Something for everyone! Add to this the $18/person mimosa service, and you have a great start to your Sunday. The pace here is rapid, but not hurried. Seats opened and were filled immediately. The volume is higher than normal, but not overly so. Seating is comfortable and you don't feel like you're sitting on top of the table next to you. We sat next to the kitchen (you can see them cooking, which I love!) and the staff was checking on dishes going out every time. Delaney was the bartender, and was filling service gaps when needed. Nate, the AM, helped us on some menu questions and checked up on us more than once. This place has an epic feel to it, like it's going to be a stalwart in the downtown dining scene. And yet, until today, I did not know they existed. Shame on me! You really should try this place. Parking right across the street. The best compliment I can give is to say I will rerun, and look forward to doing so.

Also tried the side of maple sausage and yumm yumm will be getting that also next time!! Love that they do the cookie for the birthday, my friend thought it was a nice touch with the candle !! The little things that go a long way !!

Came for brunch with friends, service was great! Our server Nate was fantastic. He came by to check on us multiple times. Food is really good! The restaurant is in a great location, very well lit with lots of natural lighting. It is street parking, but there is a parking garage right next-door as well. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying something else... Also looking forward to trying the famous apple cake!

If I could give this 100 stars, I would. I had made reservations, but we were able to get seated early. I had been here for brunch once before and i thought that was good so i wanted to come back and try dinner. Our server made great recommendations. To drink i had the Queen's Crown, 10/10, and my friend and I shared the General Tso's Cauliflower. WOW. Absolutely delicious. Then, I got spaghetti and meatballs and those were fabulous. The meatballs had such a good flavor, and the garlic bread was great too! What a great experience and I will definitely be back.

My wife and I were in Cincinnati for a long weekend and we wanted brunch before the Reds game. We sat at the bar and I ordered an IPA from the super cool server and it was delicious. I ordered their Cuban to go with it and it came out pretty fast with a beautiful salad accompanying it. The bread was perfect and came out hot. There was lots of juicy pork and cheese and all the great Cuban stuff. A solid sandwich! The place is family owned and they have a nice bar and a few selections of great beer on draft. They have bottomless mimosas as well, if you order it with an entree. Cool decor and there was a large crowd inside. Definitely try this place out in Cincinnati!

Bottomless mimosas, wings, French Toast, and crispy parm potatoes

We came in on a Saturday morning and were served by Sophie and Gaby and had an amazing experience! They were so knowledgeable on the menu answered any questions and were so kind. The manager on duty Jill was an amazing addition to the experience, she was friendly and a joy to talk to. HIGHLY recommend coming into Crown republic. We paid less for our whole meal and bottomless mimosas than my husband spends at Mi Cozumel!

I am happy to pay well for a complete dining experience. This is complete : amazing food, service and ambiance. We started with General Tso cauliflower, then my husband had the Spaghetti with Losanti prime meatballs, I had the wild mushroom capellini. We rooms some of each home so we'd have room for the s'more brownie. Good wine and beer options. Most of all, charming service. Can't wait to return. Merry Christmas!

Gnocchi, hot fire. great spice level and packs a flavorful punch
    Nathan T.

Blueberry Smoked Wings & gnocchi was amazing. The gnocchi has a great spice to it with the red pepper and left nothing to be desired. If you pair them with the wings then you don't feel like you're missing out if a meat eater. I was very pleased with the portion of my meal. Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday at noon, I'd happily come back and try another dish. I wish I would have taken a picture of the wings, but they didn't last long enough for me to capture them.

Such a cool Cincy spot! The wings were some of the best I've ever had. The staff and vibes were great. Only part of the menu is available during lunch hours tho. But no big. All around great experience!

Despite having such a large group, drinks were out fast and there was plenty of seating. 2 things stick out here: Decor and the Drinks. Both were impeccably done. We had a LOT of drinks, but the jade river, el toro rojo, and pacific muse were our favorites. The drinks are priced pretty well ($12-$14) and the service was very prompt, always cleaning up empty glasses and clearing space for more people to sit. I for SURE recommend this place as a spot to come and throw a couple rounds back. We stayed for hours and drank and talked our hearts out! Thank you for such a wonderful night. 5 stars.

My bestie is obsessed with their low price on La Marca. I have tried several of their daiquiris and cocktails and haven't found a loser yet. They don't have food but that just means they are pet-friendly. There is plenty of food in the area (for pete's sake, OTR Kroger is across the street). I wouldn't mind some snack availability but it's fine. I love the Key West/Hemingway-inspired decor. You'll be comfortable no matter how dressed up or dressed down you are. I love when the weather allows for the big windows to be open. The patio is great people watching. There is also several parking options nearby. The meters on Court St, a pay lot on the next block, or if you spend at least $15 at Kroger, you can get three hours of free parking. And that's the perfect amount to spend on snacks! Check out Pilar if you're looking for a laid-back vibe and decor but top-shelf service and cocktail options. Don't forget your dog!

I came out in December for their Miracle pop-up in 2025…read more As someone who has gone to a ton of holiday cocktail bars and pop-ups over the last 10 years, Overlook Lodge's is probably the best I've ever been to. Be aware it will be FAST. Look at the order ahead of time if you're a picky eater/drinker. They run your appointment like clockwork, and you'll be in-and-out, gulping down cocktails, through the entire experience. Your two drinks are included (this year, anyway), and I'd honestly be surprised if you managed to have time for a third. Time zips by fast. That being said, because they do it this way, you essentially have constant service, there's "events" that happen at the end of your reservation time, (I don't want to spoil it, but cover your drink!), and then they kick you out. Service was friendly, though, and I saw the server make time to take group photos for all of the tables (including ours) with someone at the table's camera. (No bullshit "group photo" upsells here) It's kinda loud, though, and I wouldn't recommend this as a chill meet-up-and-socialize spot. (If you wanna talk, they have an addendum, Christmas-themed laid-back bar next door.) It's more of a "get blasted in the face by Christmas for an hour and then leave" experience. It's pretty loud, and talking can be a bit difficult over the music and constant interruptions (more drinks? Photos? Cute Christmas video montage?) But this works in its favor as it feels the most Christmas, over-the-top, and seasonal out of all the holiday bars I've ever been to. It also keeps it from feeling too crowded as reservations are required, so you for-sure have a seat and you don't have to stand forever in line to wait for drinks. I'd probably guesstimate that bar staff is making all of their seasonal drinks, constantly, and servers just pick one up to deliver. With the capacity in here, it would make sense. No idea what the bar is like the rest of the year; this is just a review for the Miracle pop-up which, again, is probably the best I've been to in the Midwest. Cincinnati, you're spoiled down here. (Sidenote, I was absolutely taken aback by their TV presentation on the wall. It's hard to describe, but it isn't just a projector showing a giant rectangle. It's specifically slotted into the holes in-between holiday decorations. Staff told me that had to hire special technicians to get it to show up that way and that's seriously a level of detail I am so amazed by.)
