A class act who hires well, trains properly, and....brace yourself...seems to care. I know, it's unsettling. The ambience hits that sweet spot: warm, relaxed, and just upscale enough that you feel like you made a good decision... but not so fancy that you're Googling "which fork do I use" under the table. And then there's the location, right next to The Blind Lemon. Honestly, you might find yourself rooting for a wait just so you can wander next door for a drink. It's the only time in life where bad timing actually improves your evening. Bottom line: This place doesn't try to impress you, it just does. I was hoping for a robust coffee full of flavor but settled for a "Folgers" type experience. The food was decent but seemed to be lacking something. We compared what was on the plate to the menu and it just seems that the quantity for their sauces was sparse. My hash browns were still a little raw in sections and my sliders were lacking; I should have added an egg for extra protein. Worth a stop in if diner type breakfast is your go to. If you're looking for a healthier option, this is not ideal.
