This ghost kitchen needs improvement on its accuracy for pickup time. I ordered on Door Dash and the original pickup time said 8:51pm but later went down to 8:36pm. When I arrived, I scanned my order at the ghost kitchen and it told me my order will be ready at 8:44pm. Then 8:44 comes and I scan my order and it says another 8 minutes. 8:51pm came and my order was still not ready. What's even worse is the parking outside has a limit for 5 minutes. So when the order accuracy is delayed your parked car is at risk of being towed. The people working at the ghost kitchen aren't very helpful either. read more

Review of Sol Mexican Bowls: Way too salty. Everything we tried was so salty we couldn't eat it. Even the guac was way, way over salted. We tried the carnitas bowl with pinto beans and spanish rice, the asada burrito, the chips & guac, and a horchata. Everything but the Horchata was an absolute salt bomb. I wonder if it was just a bad day because it was so awful. A real bummer because it would have been pretty good otherwise. I would give 0 stars if I could. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had - and the first time in my life I've tried to get a refund on a meal. The order was from the Bird-N-Bun kitchen, but Allied Food To Go made it worse. We ordered a $30+ meal: A Spicy chicken sandwich, waffle fries, coleslaw, and a chicken slider sandwich. What we received was entirely incorrect and inedible. I want to emphasise that it's not just that the items were wrong, they were made with such neglect they should not be sold. It seemed like the Bird-N-Bun was surprised to receive an order, and someone threw together something from whatever was around. The 'Spicy Chicken Sandwhich's' chicken seemed old and had no spice (not just "this isn't spicy enough", I mean no attempt was made to spice or season the chicken), no sauce, no pickles. It was bread and chicken - not remotely matching the written description or images of their item. Worse, the slider was not a sandwich at all - literally just chicken sitting next to a roll. The waffle fries and coleslaw were missing entirely. They did include some regular non-waffle fries, so there was at least some aknowledgement that fries were included in the order. 4 items, 1 missing, 1 incorrect, 2 prepared so poorly it feels criminal to have been charged for it. Bird-N-Bun is 0/10. Afterwards, Allied Food To Go was extremely disappointing. When I contacted them about the order, they deflected, suggested I must have picked up the wrong order. They did not seem to understand that the issue was not just wrong or missing items. They initially refused to consider a refund, even after showing them in-person the order vs what we recieved. Customer service issued a $10 credit before I got a chance to explain the problem, and never responded to my messages. I followed up again days later and still received no reply. I would not order from Bird-N-Bun or Allied Food To Go again. read more

I had ordered food to go on Postmates for pickup here at the Allied Food To Go location here in Pasadena. I didn't really know what to expect other than knowing this was a ghost kitchen and my sister had ordered food from here for delivery not too long ago. This time around I picked up my order since I was passing through town. I feel like parking was a little bit hard to find but people were parking over at rite aid to then pick up food and leaving immediately. Since it was my first time here I wasn't really sure how the food would get unlocked there's a row of lockers. What is really cool is that you show your pickup screen regardless of platform to the camera and it will unlock a window for you and that is where you pick up your food At first I was thinking there should be a barcode of some sore that they would scan but what an ingenious platform that could recognize the order page and the number and screen and I left thinking very impressed of the system they have here. I had to step back first to see how all the many food delivery people were doing it but it all worked out. It was a cool experience and I can't wait to try some of the different places out here. read more

I had a very smooth process ordering at Allied Food To Go. As the name clearly implies, this is not a sit-down restaurant at all with no tables to eat. It's 'TO GO' so plan accordingly! You order at the kiosk and can view many different ghost kitchen's offerings. After ordering, you'll get a window of time your order should be ready by (anywhere between 5 - 20 minutes for me). My order was ready towards the tail end of the estimate. Then when your order is ready, you'll receive a text for which locker and depending on how many businesses you ordered from, they will all be individually bagged per business. If you have decision fatigue like me, it can be a little overwhelming on what to decided. In my first visit, I ordered from 2 different businesses Schlap Mulan and Umami Express. Both solid choices and the packaging was staple nicely and the businesses had info cards on them as well. read more

We tried ordering from the same restaurant through Postmates since we have ordered successfully from Ben's Fast Food kitchen. Docked off 1 star because when I called, they said I can order on the kiosk for Rice & Nori. But when I went, Rice & Nori was temporarily unavailable. Docking off another star because the parking is really bad. Pretty much no parking and only street parking. I would trust their website that they have and order from there rather than the kiosk before picking up. Just know that occasionally, some stores are unavailable. The concept is interesting. Be sure you have enough time to WAIT! There quoted time estimates are always not right. I waited an extra 25 minutes over my quoted time and kept checking in on where my food was. Total wait time from order was about 45 min. I saw the food get transferred from robots to a person putting them in the cubby. I ordered from Smashburger. Highly recommend the food here! I we told the burgers are made fresh to order and that's why it took so long. Food: loved the double patty smashburger with seasoned fries. It's a thicker patty but I liked it. I was also surprised to see that Smashburger had tacos. I got 1 Birria taco a la carte. I loved how meaty it was and filling. Super delicious! I wish I got the 3 pc taco set. read more

Very cool concept, with poor execution. It's so misleading from the outside that there are many restaurants that are served here. I came looking for Organico, but had no idea it was inside Allied. They really need clear signage outside the building to inform customers what the full list of restaurants are. Ended up walking back and forth and even into the alleyway because it just looks like some Amazon package pickup from outside. I also witnessed 2 other groups just as confused. Once inside, it's also not very clear what's going on. Again no signage about how to order and how it works. And once you do order, it's a very small awkward area to wait. No where to sit. My first time here and at one of these ghost kitchen assembly halls. Super neat! I placed a pick up order for my beloved Katsuya. The lady at the front was very nice and pleasant. She went to check on my order & didn't even mind walking back when I asked for ponzu sauce. For delivery drivers, there are iPads which they scan a QR code to find out which locker their pick up delivery is in. Was pretty neat and seems very efficient. You can also walk up and place a pick up order on a giant iPad. There are so many restaurants here! I saw at least 4 pages worth. Would definitely come back to try other places! read more

Ordered and picked up food here today. Wanted to leave a review because the lady who worked behind the window was extremely nice, cheerful and helpful not only to me, but everyone who walked in. It is so refreshing to see and experience because we don't often see that in any service industry anymore, even in places where you tip (and this place does not take tips). When she didn't have customers to help, she got a spray bottle and started cleaning the windows on the door outside. She wasn't idle. Very interesting concept...there are over 20+ 'restaurants' in one place. Some are better than others but it's great if you're craving multiple cuisines. We ordered some sushi, tacos, and Mediterranean. The sushi was good for take-out and the tacos were ok but the Mediterranean was not good.
