    Teriyaki pizza
    Brenda B.

We tried this place today, and it was just no good. Cheese Pizza tasted like chuck e cheese and their teriyaki pizza idk it was soggy with way too many toppings and kind gross. Meatballs were bland and pretty small. The wedge potatoes were good. Idk man... too expensive for the quality. We will not coming back

Pasadena Pizza has become our new go-to pizza restaurant. Their pizzas are delicious, fresh, not greasy, and consistently good! My wife and I go for the thin crust pizza cravings once a month. We absolutely love that the veggies are flavorful and not overcooked, and the meats are not greasy! Service is always fast and friendly!

I used this pizza spot for our son's birthday party. We went a week before to try the pizza before we placed a big order to be delivered. We were very pleased. We had cheese and pepperoni pizza. The location itself is no frills. Plenty of seating and two TV's on the wall. There are also video games available..2 and a pinball machine. As for delivery, our order came right on time and piping hot!! I'd definitely recommend!!

Birthday message and a pepperoni pizza.

Ordered pizzas here for the first time. Pizzas were gobbled up by my 10 year-old and her friends. I sampled the pepperoni and it was tasty. Perfectly cooked with a chewy crust. I mentioned that it was for a birthday and hoped they'd leave here a note. They left her a huge Happy Birthday note on the inside of the box with a little treat. After a tough start to the school year this made her super happy. Prices are super reasonable, pizza is good, and the people are obviously very kind. Pickup was on time, which is hard to find in pizza joints these days. Definitely going back.

My new favorite Pasadena pizza place Came in as a first timer. Ordered a medium pepperoni and Italian sandwich. The sandwich came out first the bread was super soft and warm. You can tell it was freshly toasted. And it was delicious. Came with a bag of chips. Really good The pepperoni pizza came out blazing hot. The sauce wasn't too sweet and the pizza was perfectly baked. This is what you think of when you think of a mom and pops pizza place. Price wasn't terrible but it wasn't cheap either but I will definitely be back

Delicious and fresh pizza! We ordered pickup through Google maps and it was ready within the provided time window. We ordered 2 mediums, one was the big G and the other was a build your own! They were both so tasty I'm so happy to have found this spot!

    habanero wings

got a medium pepperoni & shroom pizza along w/ habanero wings. not too expensive and food came out quickly. pizza had a great cheese pull and i loved the crispiness of the crust which also had a nice char on the bottom. wings were perfectly spicy and sweet place was mostly empty but there were a lot of people coming in and out for to go orders. there's also a lot of arcade machines in the back for entertainment

    Company Special

Delicious family owned pizzeria with friendly staff. They even have arcade games for the kids! Also very clean and affordable.

Individual pepperoni/meat ball. Good. Small problem: it was meat squares lol a bit too salty for me. Pepperoni and crust was perfect tho.

Really good stuff. Came in for a small size personal pizza. I wanted some pizza but didn't feel like being disappointed if it sucked. Now I know, this place is good. It was $10. Well priced for the quality. I keep it simple. Pepperoni and meat balls. Well done. The crust was so good. Pepperoni was well seasoned and crisp in the edges. The Cheese was the perfect sauce to cheese ratio. Service was good too. My only small problem is that the meatballs were squares. Reminded me of dog food. So I just picked them off. A bit salty too. Next time I'll try sausage or extra pepperoni. In conclusion, glad I stopped by to try it. Keep up the good work.

Has this place changed ownership? The pizzas don't seem the same.

    Do not know

Is this number correct? I've called and nothing happens

I had the same experience once, and then another time they answered. I don't know why the difference .

Has anyone tried their pastrami pizza?

Yes, if you like pastrami sandwiches with mustard and pickles, you'll like it to love it. It's on the salty side, but great if that's what you're in the mood for.

Is the crust/sauce vegan? Are any dressings vegan?

This is not a vegan establishment. They have gluten free crust and veggie options.

It was always a real treat. As a teenager I dated a couple of the girls that worked there so I was there on the regular in those days. In my 20's I lived right up the street and hit them up quite often. I don't get there as much as I'd like nowadays but when I do, it is always consistently great. Times have definitely changed but Connal's quality food and super customer service has not! I am a huge Combination Grinder fan and have not ordered anything different for well over 30 years. They are always stacked with lots of high quality cold cuts and delicious Provolone, crisp shredded Lettuce, thin sliced Onions and Vinegar and Oil on a delicious French Roll. In my teens and 20's I did try many samplings on their vast menu and as memory serves, everything was always delicious. Today's Grinder absolutely hit the spot! It had been a while since I last tasted one but the Combo Grinder most definitely never disappoints. I went for it, and got Zings (Zucchini Sticks and Onion Rings). Super hot, crisp and very tasty, especially with some Bleu Cheese Dressing. Jesse took my order and he was very personable and showed me some excellent customer service. If you are looking for some great grub, you cannot lose with Sandwiches By Connal. It is not the original owners but they have kept the same quality and standards over the years.

Once upon a time, we lived dangerously close to this establishment, and I've honestly thought about it more often than I'd like to admit ever since. So when I found myself in Pasadena a few weeks ago, you better believe I was coming back. I ordered my usual: an unbelievable burger, fries, and a Coke--of course. But the crown jewel of the meal, as it has always been, is the fried zucchini. I have never found better fried zucchini, and trust me, I've been trying for years. Service at the window was just as friendly as I remembered, and we grabbed a spot tucked under the patio instead of staying inside--perfect for people-watching as folks came and went. There's something really special about being welcomed back by a place that tastes exactly like you remember. Connal's still delivers.

Hubby got the Classic Aussie sandwich and the bread pudding, while my son and I got the Beef Pho meat pies and Popcorn Pork meat pie rolls. The beef pho meat pie definitely had the pho flavors and aromatics. This was absolutely delicious! The Popcorn Pork was good, not as aromatic as the pho pie. The flavor was lacking on the Taiwanese popcorn chicken basil flavor that it claimed. It reminded me more of a Vietnamese meat pie (pate chaud), which is peppery with a smoother texture that this one did not have, but it was still flavorful. The bread pudding was good but the texture was more dense reminding me of a banana bread loaf. I didn't care for the dollop of yogurt on top, which took away from the flavor of the bread pudding itself. Hubby said the Classic Aussie was good but was expensive for the size of the sandwich (small burger size). Hubby got the Long Black coffee which was good, but sadly my iced matcha latte was lacking in the matcha flavor. It was very pale in color and tasted mostly of milk. Service was quick and friendly. I will come back for the meats and try the other flavors of the meat pies next time.

Tonight we decided to switch things up a little, and hubby ordered the bacon cheeseburger. Normally we prefer the quarter-pound patty, but this one was slightly thicker, which definitely made us feel full a lot quicker. That said, the burger was still super juicy, had the right filling-to-meat ratio, and came on that perfectly soft bun that holds everything together without falling apart. Solid choice. I stuck with my usual chicken breast salad, and it was delicious as always. Fresh, satisfying, and dependable -- although I'll admit I'm still not a fan of bell peppers, so those got politely pushed to the side. One thing I have noticed over time is that the fries seem to be getting a little smaller in portion each visit. I also miss the thicker-cut fries from about six months ago -- those were my favorite. The current ones still do the job, but the old style definitely had my heart. Overall, this is still a definite must-try spot if you're craving a good burger. Oof so much to say about the Pastrami breakfast burrito here…read more I stooped by Sunday morning to a decent breakfast crowd but my order was taken within 3 minutes of walking in. The cashier was nice but maybe she's new because she couldn't believe I wanted tater tots in my breakfast burrito instead of the homestyle potatoes. She asked me 4 times if that's what I wanted and then called a manager over to ask her too. It was just a super odd moment. The pastrami breakfast burrito is about $15 and it's a great size. Once I started digging in I immediately noticed issues. The pastrami was tough, fatty, stringy, and so overly salty. The tots were crispy but the first half of the burrito was just that - pastrami and tots. I actually got worried thinking they forgot the egg and cheese until I cut half way and realized all the egg and cheese was piled onto one end of the burrito. Why? How? Who taught these guys how to build a burrito? By then I had lost my appetite due to the pastrami but even so, there was hardly any egg and cheese compared to the pastrami. The green salsa too was bad. No flavor whatsoever all you get is the burning sensation from the peppers. I really think they just blended peppers and called it a salsa
