Tom's is my go to for a quick weekend breakfast. They make a great biscuit & gravy which I love. The eggs and bacon are always perfectly cooked. While I stick to my staple my wife branches out a lot. Burgers, zucchini, fries, waffles, chicken fried steak, pancakes. She's tried a lot and is always happy. Come for breakfast, lunch, dinner. You won't leave unhappy. Weekend mornings are usually busy but service is quick and the runners are efficient with coffee and soda refills and checking on you during your meal.

Back again! It's been a while, but I was still pleased with the quick service. My mom really enjoyed her Cobb salad and my friend enjoyed her omelet. I of course enjoyed the lovely strawberry waffle!

Great breakfast spot. The food was great. They are very generous with their portions so be ready to stuff your face :) I'm mad I really thought I took a pic of my food :( I only took a pic of my pancakes. I ate an omelette which was delicious. Pancakes were also very good! The service was awesome. Friendly staff & very attentive. The place is very clean they do have private parking and street parking is also available.

I eat here more than I should. So many good choices. Today was a cheddar cheese and jalapeño omelet, hash browns and grilled rye toast. So filling - had to take half home. The service is always top notch. Even though you order at the counter, they always come by your table to make sure everything is OK and if you need anything.

    Bert zucchini

Food was not that great the zucchini was burnt and lacked seasoning. Burger was mid it lacked flavor. The asada fries also lacked flavor and the nachos cheese on it was gross

French toast bacon and eggs really good I love to come here, fast service and great customer service!!!!

Lately I have noticed a very big change in terms of service, they receive you very kindly and very attentive as to whether you are missing something or want more coffee, etc etc!!! Well done TOM's Team

Friendly face greeted me, looking for a cheeseburger to see if it is good enough to talk or write about, quick answer not really but the name Tom's Family stuck with me, prices are decent I'd say family affordable! Liked the Pasadena based murals do if you have friends that live nearby snd you don't want to break the bank yeah sure . One quibble , didn't like the cheese they use.

WOW! What a Deal!. Everything was fantastic, prepared and presented very well. I'd give it all a 10+ Excellent service by excellent people and the Ambiance is very welcoming.

This place always hits the spot -- I love club sandwiches and theirs is pretty tasty. Bacon could've been a bit more crispy but delicious nonetheless

Yep. I have gotten omelets for dinner several times. And they are awesome!

Despite its popularity, I find the food to be fairly average. Much of it tastes like it's made from standard commercial food-service ingredients rather than prepared fresh. On the positive side, the prices are reasonable, the dining room has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is generally attentive. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood breakfast restaurant - nothing particularly memorable, but nothing especially disappointing either. The Reyn Special - 3/5. A classic breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and banana bread. The eggs and bacon are fairly average, although the bacon tends to be overcooked and dry. The standout is the hash browns. They're cooked with a nicely browned, crispy crust while still remaining fairly moist inside. The real highlight, however, is the banana bread. It tastes homemade and is easily the best item on the plate. Crepes - 1/5. This dish comes as two separate plates: one with the ricotta-filled crepes and another with eggs, sausage, bacon, and your choice of fries or tater tots. Unfortunately, the crepes are the weakest part of the meal. The ricotta-filled crepes don't taste freshly made and instead resemble a pre-made food-service product that's simply reheated before serving. Both the crepe and ricotta filling have a generic flavor with noticeable artificial notes. You can choose either banana or strawberry topping, but both sauces taste overly processed and artificial. The accompanying breakfast plate is noticeably better. I chose the tater tots, which were well prepared - crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside. The bacon, however, was again overcooked and dry, making it tough to chew. The sausage was acceptable but unremarkable. Scrambled Supreme - 2.5/5. Despite the name, this is essentially an omelet. The eggs have a mild, neutral flavor, and the fillings are okay but don't stand out. Coffee - 2/5. The coffee is classic diner coffee in every sense. It's somewhat watery, heavily roasted, and finishes with a flat, slightly bitter aftertaste. It's neither particularly good nor particularly bad - just standard coffee that does the job. Overall, The Reyn succeeds as a comfortable, affordable breakfast spot with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. While the food is average, and several dishes rely on ingredients that taste commercially prepared rather than freshly made.

The burger was genuinely very good--not life-changing gourmet food, but exactly what a classic American burger should taste like. The best way I can describe it is like an elevated old-school burger. Similar spirit to In-N-Out in its simplicity, but juicer like if burlesque was a burger. You're going for the atmosphere, the history, and the feeling of stepping into a different era of California. Visited on a Friday night around 7:30pm. Pretty busy but we were able to get seated for 2 guests at the bar seating. Seating is mostly counter/bar style with a handful of tables. Heads up: it's cash only, and the on-site ATM charges a $2.50 fee, so plan ahead. Pros: The decor nails the nostalgia. The classic milkshake machine, old school cash register, and diner seating all feel authentic rather than manufactured. The peach pie, warmed with ice cream on top, was genuinely great and worth the trip on its own. The burger had a solid homemade quality to it. Cons: The price felt steep for what's ultimately a pretty standard burger. You're paying more for the time capsule experience than for the food itself. The patty was fine but unremarkable, and I couldn't point to anything that justified the "legendary" hype. Bottom line: Come for the pie and the history, not for a burger that'll blow you away. If they tightened up the value on the burger side, this would be an easy 4-star visit.

Friend, now I know what food is like in prison. The gravy was a bland, featureless runny liquid (no, even runnier than you're thinking), devoid of any seasoning whatsoever. I legitimately believe they dug a pan that used to have gravy in it out of the dirty dishes, swished some water around in it and poured it on my plate. The "biscuits" were hardly any better, lacking any hint of butter or flake, instead seeming like someone stirred up some Bisquick and threw it on the flattop grill. This meal was an insult and a punishment, and as part of a $70 check it felt like I was being personally invited to a fistfight by the dumpster. Alas, I had somewhere else to be. And somewhere else, anywhere else, is what I'll choose next time when breakfast is due. For reference, biscuits and gravy should include round, buttery, flaky biscuits using dough that was rolled out, cut, and baked. Gravy in this context is a richer, creamier milk gravy with substance, at minimum seasoned with fresh cracked pepper and perhaps some paprika. Offering a sausage gravy wouldn't hurt either. Or don't offer biscuits and gravy at all if you don't know what the f**k you're doing.

For dinner I got a Chinese Chicken Sandwhich which was okay....but I would only eat it again if i was in need desperately for fiber. Today, I started off with the same coffee routine, but for lunch I got their Italian combo which was lasagna with salad and garlic bread stick. WOW. That lasagna was super dry. It was one of those frozen lasagna that you can buy at Costco...but even if I were to make it it would come out better. The food wasn't even kept in a steamer, but a tin foil tray so it was cold and dry. BLEH. The salad was okay, but they piled it on with ranch dressing :( And the bread stick. my GOSH! There is still the Chinese selection and the grill that I have yet to try. Chinese doesn't look too promising...for sure worse than Panda Express right across the street. The grill though looks good considering they actually make it for you on the spot. They also have a fried popcorn chicken and french fries you can grab and go.
