Somewhere in the grapevine area on my trip from Sacramento, I was craving either a Chinese food lunch special...or burger. The mapquest led me to a Chinese restaurant in this shopping center, but the big lettering of "Burgers" caught my attention. Starting off, this is a SOLID 3...a 3+, if you will. I miss regular mom and pop shops serving basic food, as opposed to Sacramento which for some reason tries to cook above its station in its bougie-ness. The gentleman was friendly, took my order, and they got my sods for me. I ordered the ordinary Cheeseburger combo. The burger would not grace a magazine cover, but it tasted....like a tasty cheeseburger should. Good meat, and I could taste the gooey melty cheese. The fries were burning hot, and the potato was soft on the inside. Though probably not entirely their fault (thanks, inflation), my only knock is $17 seems a bit much. My boyfriend and I walked over to finally try Dena's! After seeing consistent crowds around the ordering window, I knew this would be a must-try gem. You are able to order outside from the window or dine-in inside or on the patio. There are lots of pothos plants if you make it indoors. We both got breakfast burritos. I got the bacon and ham with spicy salsa and he got the combination with hot sauce. The portion size for the price (and quality) was worth it! I was starving and stopped for a burger. It was just ok. It wasn't bad but nothing special. There are a lot of good independent fast food places in the area and I have had good experiences at them. Maybe I should have tried some of the other things here but wanted a burger. Ordered the cheeseburger. Meat was a little dry Had lots of lettuce and tomato which I eventually removed. Always feel welcomed when I come here. I had the chicken taquitos plate today, and an iced coffee that was delicious. We came in (4 of us) before the lunch rush which was good my order was ready in less than 10 minutes. Hi, went again tonight , haven't been in months. Wanted to try pastrami melt on sourdough and cheese fries. But he did say he was out of cheddar cheese. So could only use monterey jack on the fries. But on the pastrami i wasn't sure what kind of cheese they use or if we choose. I think he said he has cheddar. I don't know, honestly i get confused with different cheeses ( unless i see it ) in front of me in the package , lol. But both were good , only thing is the pastrami melt was not grilled as much as it could of been , and one reason is , he hardly buttered it. Overall an OK burger experience. I drive by everyday and wanted to try it out. Just got a plain cheeseburger. Food came out quick. Doesn't look like much, but they've got pretty good burgers and very good breakfast burritos. This little burger stand at the corner of Orange Grove and Los Robles has honestly saved my fiancé and I from a handful of hangovers with those burritos. The bacon and potato combo somehow soaks up a night of drinking--it's pretty magical. The green sauce (I'm assuming it's jalapenos and sour cream or something like that, but I've never asked) is perfectly spicy and creamy. So, so good. We aren't really nursing hangovers these days and thus our burrito game isn't as strong, but we have been in a few times for burgers and fries. The burgers are good, although not as good as The Hat which is only a half mile or so away. One thing they totally have The Hat beat on? Fries. Their fries are perfectly sized, seasoned, and oh so crispy. A burger combo comes with a cheeseburger, fries, and a soda and will run you about $8. Note: you can't add a tip with a card, which is a bummer since everyone (businesses and consumers) is trying to limit the amount of cash they're handling these days. They do have a tip jar at the window if you want to plan ahead and share that way. Dena Burgers shares a parking lot with Baja grocery, so there are lots of places to park. Denaburgers! The got some spicy creamy green sauce that I usually get for my breakfast burrito. Watch out tho they charge for extra sauce so give em a heads up lol food is good for the spot they have here. They some times have a taco man outside cooking it up but I have yet to try em. Okay so I found this place about 2 months ago. And since then I've come back a hand full of times. But I've only been getting the chili cheese fries. Which again... best chili cheese fries I've ever tried! But yesterday I was here for that. Today. I finally Tried something different. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger. so delicious!! I'm about halfway through and I'm super full. it's so big, I am super satisfied. it has bacon cheese tomato lettuce pickle and the bacon taste amazing I wish I had more room in my stomach because I'm full but I really want to finish it. Another fail at not checking this places Yelp reviews before coming here! What a waste of time and money. Cute little place but food was horrible. Had the grilled chicken salad. And my boyfriend had the avocado burger. Upon getting my salad I went to the window and asked for more dressing because it only came with a small one. Normally two small containers of dressing are included. The cook told me to go to the other window and it would be $.50 more! Ridiculous! The salad looked like it was from a bag of mixed greens and it was days old. The chicken was okay but was all I ate. There was very little of it on there so I didn't have much to eat. It's a hit or miss with their salad. The first time I tried it I really liked it. Times after they wouldn't put the avocado like it says it has..
