Palisades fire. I hired Allied to give me a solid estimate that I could take to the insurance company. Allied estimated it would cost 5x of what the insurance company estimated. This is an updated review. The job was FINALLY completed today. It took five months to complete the restoration of a bathroom and part of living room. Leadership changed 3 times during the five months. Some of the quality of the work was great, such as the painters and the final cleaning. The quality of the work done in The bathroom was mediocre. The faux paint had to be done twice. The rebuilt of the cabinet was poor and it look nothing like to what I had. The carpet was not comparable in quality to what I had. Especially the padding. I would like to give credit to the last person that was in charge. Her name was Jackie. Once she was assigned things began to move. She was on top of things. The bottom line is I am glad is finally over. Would I ever use Allied Restoration ever again, the answer has to be a big NO. They overcharge the Insurance to the limit and the amount of time it took was unacceptable. read more

NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL !!!! Horrible company !! Had water damage and the first part of the project was to get everything dry. So I received a message everything is dry. I said ok but who's going to put drywall back up and ceiling...... ohhh I don't handle that. I asked, ok but who's is going to put my home back together and he said he can have a project manager call me. Towards the ends is the day, I received a phone call they will come to property and do a walk through to see that needs to be done...... mind you 10 days LATER!!!! Then I get a start date they're going to start Tuesday and work until Friday. My oldest stops by property to find open beer cans ; so clearly drinking on the job and my property. Left the home dirty, nice size gauge out of my laminate flooring, and the way the bedding was placed in garage ( no mattress protection, bent mattress work furniture against it, pillows on floor. I brought to Vice President Tim and owner OP which advised me they will not replace mattress and we have to prove they damaged floor. May KARMA get this company 10x !!! read more

Wow. Just wow. Not only do I want to give NEGATIVE stars, I want to get paid for this HACK JOB that took MONTHS to complete. Unless someone was micromanaging, the work was absolute shoddiness. The request was to fix a leak and restore the bathroom to its original condition--zero design changes. Not only did it take MONTHS, the attention to detail and quality of service is absolutely abysmal. At one point, workers came to just attach the tub as a last detail. They couldn't get it on, so they said, "we need a part from the van, be back in 10min." 1hour later, they aren't back. THEY LITERALLY LEFT. They had "no way" to reattach the original tub to the original drain. SO THEY BAILED! ... .... THE SOLUTION THEN WAS TO TEAR DOWN THE WHOLE BATHROOM TOP TO BOTTOM TO CHANGE THE VALVE. Things just continued to get worse. Workers would just not show up or answer calls or texts for days and weeks. And then, I wish I could say the finished product was at least great. It's... not. I have attached some photos since they can speak to quality of work more than me detailing everything else that went on in the background. I loved my little condo, its small imperfections. Now, my "brand new" bathroom is a colossal eyesore that makes my OCD twitch while getting ready in the morning. Honestly, I am at the point where if I needed to redo a bathroom, I would YouTube and just f***ing do it myself. I'm pretty sure I could also fk up this badly myself and save thousands of dollars. 100/10 do not recommend this company. read more

This was a tricky review to write because the work done (though expensive) was done quickly and properly and deserves 5 stars, but the communication from the estimator deserves 1 star, or negative stars. Here is the story. We contracted with Allied to remove the drywall and window seat from an alcove that we suspected had mold from a rain related water leak. The estimator said that the job would be done in two parts. Part 1 was the removal of the drywall and window seat. Part 2 was the detection of the leak and then the repair of the leak and the restoration of the alcove. The estimator assured us that all of this would be done by Allied, with no subcontracting. The estimator said that Part 1 would be done in 5 to 7 days, or longer if mold was detected. Part 2 was not estimated as the estimate depended on the results of Part 1. Part 1 was actually completed in about 6 or 7 hours, with someone returning two days later for about an hour or so to remove equipment. Note that we approved the estimate based on the estimated length of the job. Had we been told it was a one or two day job if no mold was detected, we might have gotten other quotes for comparison, based on Allied's pricing. After Part 1 was done, we were informed that Allied would not do the leak detection nor would they replace or repair the window. They didn't even offer a subcontractor who could do it. They just suggested some companies that we could check out on our own. They did give us an estimate for Part 2, once we got the leak and window handled. So, we were left hanging with a half done job and on our own to figure what to do next, after we were assured that Allied would handle the whole job. read more

I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with Allied Restoration Services. I am a victim of the Palisades Fire. Fortunately my home was not burned to the ground but my home did sustain significant damage due to 4 homes in my cul-de-sac that did burn to the ground. Those homes burning caused a significant amount of damage to my home and I contracted Allied Restoration Services to do the repairs. It was a great decision which I will recommend to anyone. When after 2 weeks I was allowed to see my home for the first time the smell of smoke was overwhelming and soot and ash was everywhere in the home. Wearing an N95 mask was essential. I contracted Allied Restoration Services and in only 2 weeks the smell of smoke was gone and every bit of soot and ash was gone. Every surface was cleaned and our refrigerator had been completely sterilized which was very impressive because the power had been cut for over 2 weeks and meats had gone horribly bad. I was sure I'd have to buy a new refrigerator. We are academics, and have a lot of books, and I was unbelievably impressed when I realized Allied had cleaned all our books. We are very organized, and when I noticed not every book was in its precise location, I realized Allied had cleaned every book. Unbelievable!!! Additionally, when I attempted to boot up our computers they did not connect our wired home correctly. Not a problem so I retired our home but in doing so I realized Allied had disconnected all our cabling in order to clean every connector. Amazing!!! The attention to detail Allied Restoration did was staggering. Just the idea of disconnecting all the wires in our wired home to make sure they were disinfected quite literally shocked me. I am using Allied for a complicated water damage situation, after getting a positive recommendation from a neighbor who used them for the same purpose. My experience so far has been great. Andy was able to conduct communications with my insurance company that resulted in much greater coverage than I was able to secure on my own. Now I am working with Jason who is consistantly responsive, patient, and friendly to work with. While you can probably find less expensive services out there, I believe you get what you pay for and so far I feel like I am getting outstanding service, especially with effective communication with my insurance company. My husband, toddler, and I unfortunately had to deal with black mold that was growing in our garage, and the Allies Restoration team was on top of it every step of the way. When discussing my situation, they informed me they require a $10,000 retainer or my full insurance deductible before they would provide an estimate or even assess the damage at the house. I believe this is not standard practice - most reputable companies provide free estimates, especially for insurance claims after fire damage. I felt manipulated by this approach, especially as a homeowner already dealing with the stress of fire damage. When I questioned this policy, they explained they "don't write free estimates" and only work with "people that are solidified in their choice." It's been a little over a month since Allied Restoration finished the repair and remodel of our family room due to water damage. We were expecting our second child in September when my wife noticed that the drywall in a bathroom connected to the family room was starting to bubble in April of 2020. She was concerned about the potential of mold being present. What we thought would be an easy drywall repaired turned into a much bigger issue. We contacted our insurance agent and was given a list of companies to call. Either due to Covid-19 or disinterest, none of them would even come out to give us an estimate. That being the case, I turned to Yelp. Allied Restoration wasn't the first place I called, but they were the first place that said they would come out to assess the damage. They were there in four hours with team to stop any further damage. Luckily for us, the water was not flowing and causing further damage. Jordon and the rest of the team was extremely professional and courteous. It was not a pretty sight when they tore out the bathroom and half of our family room....we didn't know what we got ourselves into. Now time to deal with the claims adjusters... This process wasn't bad at all. Will from Allied provided detailed estimates on what it would cost to return the room back to original and we were cut a check. Now who wants to go back to exactly what you had before? We used this opportunity to create a whole new look for this area with a remodeled. Will worked with us on changes we wanted, items we would do ourselves and recommendations. Once agreed upon, it was time to start the work. Jose and Giovanni were our repair/remodel team. (With a few others whose names I didn't get). They were there getting the project moving as fast as they could dealing with Covid slowing down supplies and labor. They also dealt with numerous changes my pregnant wife was making (sorry honey). This was the first time we have done any sort of remodel of this magnitude and didn't quite know what to expect, but the whole team at Allied Restoration was great. We got our completion document on August 20th and two days later, my second son was born. We were so happy we were not dealing with construction and a new baby at the same time, I sent Jose a birth announcement with a short thank you for getting the project done in the nick of time. The next day we received flowers of congratulations for the birth from the whole Allied Team. It was great only dealing with one company during this whole process and Allied Restoration's customer service was top notch. I felt like I had a whole team of individuals checking on the progress and making sure everything was going ok. Shout outs to Jae and Amber who I only dealt with via email and phone. A few weeks ago, our kitchen ceiling came crashing down in the middle of the night due to the recent rain and a roof leak. I contacted my insurance and Allied Restoration came to the rescue. Jordan and Carlos quickly sent a team to put a tarp over my roof to prevent further damages. They explained the entire mitigation and repair process and made sure that I was updated frequently. The good, the bad and the ugly. There was a resolution but it wasn't much. They agreed to return $200 of the $450 they bill for fake marble counter tops. They corrected the door jam.... YES that door is closed ( see picture ) BUT they said 99% of the time it won't come out like that. They never addressed the over billing for services they did not provide: remove and reinstall vents, blinds etc. They billed $3000 for internal painting ( 1492 sq ft less 2 bedrooms and ceilings, they don't do ceilings :). Folks, you owe it to yourselves to get a second opinion. Don't take the easy route and use Mercury Insurance referral, they suck as does Allied. The resolution? We cut our losses and moved on. This is being brought up today only because they asked us for a favorable review Yelp on people, it works! read more
