I called and at first I asked for storm shutters, however, the man I spoke with thought a high impact window would serve my needs better. Measurements were taken, the permits obtained and the window ordered with an estimate of 2 months, or possibly more, to get the project done. I am so happy to report that exactly 2 months later Jeff and Jay showed up and it was a real pleasure working with them. The installation took less than a day and because I named my new quiet/safe room "Heaven," you can guess I am very delighted with the outcome. I paid nearly $20,000 for new windows and sliding glass door. They refuse to complete the finish work and installed a track for sliding glass door with no factory drilled holes to drain the water. One of their employees came out and cut part of track off for the screen while trying to create drain holes. Now the screen doesn't close! One of the window screens already fell apart and I had to take it to be Re screened. Cuba Hanks made a deal with the manager of the building of the condo where I live to repair some stucco. They did a sloppy job it's completely cracked and the HOA is refusing to pay because it needs to be redone. They are saying unless I pay them an additional $2500 that the HOA owes them they will not complete the work. Crystal lied in the report to the Better Business Bureau and said I haven't been available. In fact, I have been available and cancelled appointments to be home. He said he had called and it went to voicemail and he left a voicemail. I received no voicemail. However he did schedule an appointment for the next month. He did show up on time. He acted as if he didn't like his work. He failed to respond when my wife greeted him. I assisted him with getting windows open and determining the ones with problems. He left and said he would return the next day. He did not return. After a week I returned. He was again in. I told him it had been more than a week and he had not returned. He said he was there 2 days ago and not a week. Then he found his notes and saw he was there when I said. He said he would send me an email with the estimate. In fact he said he would do it right then. He only said it was an estimate. I drove home and opened the email. It was more than an estimate. It required me to sign a form and to pay 50% of the estimate. I returned to the office because the form did not have a way to sign virtually and I had no way to print it. I was right there and he didn't tell me that. On my return I got the attendant to print it and I signed it and handed them a check. It has now been another month gone by and no calls, no reason for the delay. After 3 months + and no work done. I returned today and requested my money back. It was retuned. That is the only plus in their box. The owner was in and signed the check. He did not come out to apologize or to see what my complaint was. That says a lot in itself.
