My shirt and three piece suit was looking brand new when I picked it up. They worked with my fast turnaround needs as well, having this done within about a day and a half. I WAS a customer. But Never Again. I went there today to have 1 dry cleaning (slacks) and 2 alterations done. The man behind the counter, whose English was very difficult to understand, took measurements and completed the necessary tasks. His dishonesty was shown when at first he said that my alterations would be $16 each, five minutes later he said it would be $24 each. For 2 cuff shortenings and 1 dry cleaning of slacks he tried to charge me over $66!!! I Was willing to pay for the convenience of the location. But he then showed his physical appearance-based Prejudice and Racism: He demanded that I pay for the alterations and dry cleaning UP FRONT which is simply not done: I am old but I am neither dumb nor inexperienced: I've had alterations done at high-end salons from Beverly Hills to Mr. Lim of Wilshire Boulevard fame and not once have I ever been asked to pay upfront. I told him, "No place charges upfront, what is this?" He said, "It veecuz you fust tigh!" Which he knew was an Outright Lie and it shows how Dishonest and Racist he is, for I had just given him my telephone number so he could look up my account, which he did. He knew my first name because he said it out loud after he located my account in his system--so He Knew I'd been there before. So I'm never going back and I encourage others not to patronize One Day Cleaners on Downey Avenue just above Firestone Boulevard... The guy discriminates against people whose skin is darker than his, And He is an Immigrant himself with Largely Incomprehensible English skills.
