I'll pass on that from now on as it came back not smelling quite like I expected. Better than most places, but not odor free as at least one (albeit more expensive) place in Downey. I own an authentic Cowboys #88 Dez Bryant jersey. I had a stain on one of the 8's which is WHITE! I had a yellow nasty stain that I received last SuperBowl either eating or drinking, I don't know. I had not cleaned it because I was scared to mess up the numbers. After doing my research , I found Donnas dry cleaning. I took it there, I can't remember the guys name but he made me feel confident about leaving my jersey in his hands. I was heading to the Cowboys Vs 49ers game that Sunday in San Francisco. My family had been using this place for the better part of 20 years. I had moved back into the area a few months ago and needed a few items laundered and dry cleaned. The guy behind the counter was more concerned about his marijuana stash then working with me while on the phone, didn't sound business related. Hell it's legal now, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Dropped off 3 blouses 2 slacks and my husbands military fatigues. 2 blouses and slacks were ok. One blouse came back with new stains and the fatigues smelled like a dog. I'm wondering if it's because there is a DOG on the premises! Who has a business in a service cleaning industry and has a dog roaming around clean clothes. Just moved back to Downey and went to Donnas based on the reviews here on yelp. What a regret! Went to pick up my shirts. One was missing. We were told there was a "stain" on it and that they were having it worked on. For the record, this was new ted baker shirt that did not have a stain. I came to leave my clothes in July 22 in hopes for it to be ready by Friday morning. Promised to me that it would be. I cam Friday and none of it was ready except one pair of pants. I was disappointed because if something is said or promised you expect it to be fulfilled. I asked wen it would be ready and they asked if the end of August would be ok. Why would the end of August be ok for 2 pant alterations? When promised beforehand? I said absolutely not. I waited and followed up to see when they would be ready. I finally show up today August 25 and I walk into a horrible stench of marijuana with loud rap music going on and coughing in the back end of the store. I picked up my clothes that was finally ready. There was no courtesy of "let me take something off for the wait" no none at all I paid full price. I will not be coming back to this cleaners especially because I don't want my clothes wreaking of marijuana. This is supposed to be a location that has been passed down to generations and it should be treated as a gem. Again I will not be coming back here again. The 2 stars is for the gentleman who was very respectful and took my order accurately and professionally. Unfortunately my first and last time at this place, a shame because I live close by.
