One extra star for showing up and not flaking. She came with a friend and some cleaning equipment but I was rather disappointed for the level of cleaning. K got me a living social deal for a DEEP cleaning. Although my glass mirrors were very clean and she organized my counter and coffee table stuff, I felt there were serious areas lacking. No mopping of any part of my place (tile, wood, etc). She only vacuumed the area rugs (you have to supply your own vacuum) briefly and she used a broom to brush dust into a corner before using her hand to pick it up and put it into a bag. I felt that the cleaning over all was just superficial (glass and stuff that make a quick impact) while the major elements that I needed (mopping, good vacuuming, nitty gritty parts of bathroom and bedrooms) were ignored. She was very friendly and the whole cleaning took about 1.5 hours? But they did spend a while just standing in the kitchen chatting. Her friend kept checking her phone while cleaning the kitchen (no heavy duty stuff, just simple spray and wipe). They also used up all of my kitchen paper towels because apparently they don't bother with their own rags? I'm just confused...I've had other house cleaning people before and for cheaper (at the supposed full price rate), and gotten a super clean house. read more

I had to wait a week after my cleaning to write this review or it would have be NO STARS!!! I certainly wish I had experienced the 5-star service. In my own opionion, here is what you should ALLOW ME SERVICES....Allow her to call the day of to say she can not make your appointed time at 10am, they will arrive at 11am...OK that was do-able. Allow her not to answer at 11:30 when you start calling to find out where she is and for her voice mail to be full so that you can not leave a message. Allow it to be 12 or so when you finally get a hold of her and for her to have the nerve to have an attitude because you are calling to find out where she is, to which her answer will be "Um it's takin me a lil longer to get back than I thought OK, I'm on 4th St. now". NOW ALLOW YOURSELF TIME TO COOL DOWN AND NOT BEAT HER DOWN WHEN SHE ARRIVES!!! Allow her to then take another 25 minutes to finally arrive WITH AN ATTITUDE! Allow her to not have a mop or vaccuum with her! Allow her to do an OK job but not the best you've ever seen. If I had not purchased a Living Social deal and didn't want to lose my money....I would not have had them clean, I would have told them not to bother coming!!!!! This is actually a 4 1/2 star review! I was pleased with Denise. She was responsive, prompt for our appointment and very nice. We had a tenant move out so we asked her to focus on her room and bathroom. She did that and more without us asking and didn't charge extra. The only reason I didn't give her a full 5 stars is because we noticed a few corner spots and areas that were missed but probably because she did a lot! Overall, we were VERY pleased. I was able to book an appointment the day before service and I am very pleased. The ladies showed up on time and brought all of their own equipment. They were very nice and my husband and I felt comfortable with them in our home. I found this service by referral! I now retain service from once a week to once a month. I pre book prior to important evets as they are sometimes available with the snap of a finger but often VERY busy and very booked. I would trust my home and belongings to NO ONE else the way I do them. I use to watch housekeepers EVERY move, as I have been stolen from before. Now? Forget about it... No need! Anyone I know that needs cleaning in the area...now uses, "Allow Me" based on my referral, and what they have seen them accomplish in my household. They have SAVED me tens of times! House guests coming, Holidays, party times... You name it! Its been over 3 years now and they will retain me as a customer as long as they are in business... Showed up an 1hr45min late, even though she called and told me ahead of time she would be no later than 30 min late, what was with the extra time, poor scheduling. When she did finally get there, she didn't even have a mop or vacuum, just a broom and a bag of cleaning supplies. The ladies at Allow Me did a great job with my apartment! I found them through a deal on Living Social, and then found out a friend of mine uses their service regularly. They were on time, professional and friendly, and very thorough! My floors look great, my bathroom smells fantastic, and the window sills are dust-free! They took great care when moving my belongings around to clean, and checked that I was okay with them moving stuff before doing so. I found Allow Me on craigslist and called them to come and clean my house, which was a disaster - two bachelors share it, and we are marginal at best about cleaning. Denise came and spent seven and a half hours cleaning the place, and now it looks pristine, /and/ she only charged the original price despite doing way more work. We have them coming back every couple weeks, now. I would like to give this place zero stars if it were possible! I purchased a living social voucher for Allow me Services back in July. Every time i call the number for the business i get a "voice mail box is full" message. I resorted to texting which is so unprofessional but whatever works. She was unable to book my first request for an appointment. I tried numerous times after that i didn't even get a response. My voucher is about to expire and have requested a full refund from living social. That is no way to run a business and I would not want this women in my home! read more
