After getting booted off the family car insurance plan I shopped around at a bunch of different companies, but ultimately decided to stick with Allstate and find a new agent. Allstate has always been great when I've needed them in the past, and they seem to be one of the few companies that still offers new renters policies and isn't picky about your zip code. I called and was helped by Daniel, who was easily able to retrieve my former car insurance policy and help update it to something that would best fit my current needs and budget. After a couple calls we finally set the new insurance plan into action and then added a renters policy shortly after. While it wasn't the cheapest coverage I found, it was a little cheaper than a lot of the other big names out there. Only one company in my search was actually significantly less expensive, but reviews weren't great and I know and trust Allstate from all the previous years of coverage I've had. read more

I received a letter in the mail stating my home insurance would be cancelled because of moss on my roof (which is laughable), from Liberty Mutual. After so many calls to everyone on Google, I found Mary! She gave clear and calm insight to resolution, and options she recommended. Had a car lock out on 9/27/2020. I could not unlock my car due to a broken key. I immediately checked for my road side assistance option for policy via the Allstate app. the options were as follows: lockout followed by where are your keys? in my vehicle, in my truck or broken. I wasn't able to get past that on the app, therefor recruited a towing company to help. Given that lost or broken key was one of the options it didn't take long to decide to make a new key since the key was broken and in fact locked out and avoided towing. As i filed my lockout claim I was advised duplicate keys are not covered. Well it was not a duplicate key, it was the only key. It technically was a lock out and lock outs are covered at $100 per incident. It is a very deceiving option given that it is not covered it should not come up as an option. So had I towed the car for the same amount I would have been covered? Yes. That's awful, they are not really looking to help. I was told the special team at Allstate would contact me. OVERALL ASSESSMENT The Donna Cabezas insurance agency is outstanding. They're a 5 star business and that can be said with no puffery whatsoever. My review only confirms what other Yelpers have said. RESPONSIVENESS Phone calls are almost always answered real-time. The teaming in this office is excellent. In past experience with other agencies, the general rule is that I would usually get voice answering to leave a message, and in many cases, no one answers at all. Donna's agency has been consistently excellent in being reachable by phone. Similarly, e-mails are always answered within the same day. I've observed that when a quote or other information is needed, I'm always given a time when I can expect it (if not immediately). The overall picture is that this is a group of agents working in this practice who are attentive to customers and crisp with respect to responsiveness. This is truly refreshing. COMMUNICATION All of the agents are well spoken, articulate and clear. I have asked many complex insurance questions and, to a person, the listening skills of this team is consistently good. I always feel as though I've been given a straight and clear understanding of my options, which is critical in managing insurance. CUSTOMER CARE I think that the trait that jumped out in my months of interaction with the team is that there is a very positive energy, not unlike a winning football team. Donna, Monica, Mary and Kimberly have earned every word of this praise: They are consummate professionals. They have shown concern, patience and they are problem solvers. RESOURCES For multiple types of insurance over the years, I've used Geico, Farmers, Progressive, State Farm, Amica, Liberty Mutual and others. I could write a book on my insurance carrier experiences. Allstate, and the other carriers that Donna's agency can write have had the best combination of quality and pricing for my insurance needs. I've researched the California Department of Insurance consumer report on carriers and I feel good with Allstate. (I dropped State Farm to go to Allstate) The one glaring improvement area (unrelated to Donna's agency) is that Allstate should improve it's website. For every Yelp review where I am compelled to report (warn of, really) an unprofessional and substandard business, I find it a joy to point out excellence. I recently, (4-22-22) had a very positive and rewarding experience working with Allstate Insurance- Donna Cabezas Agency, with a special shout out to Mary! I had the task of filing a claim for a Windshield Replacement on my bosses 2020 Subaru Forrester. There were a couple of details required for the Windshield that were very important to my boss. One, the windshield needed to be OEM Glass. Second, the repair was time sensitive so a quick turn around time for the repair was necessary. I reached out to Mary at Allstate to get the claim going. Mary was so professional and took the time to really listen to what the requirements of the repair were. Immediately Mary went right to work, filing the claim, sourcing the right Glass vendor for us to work with and ensuring all of the time specifications and Windshield requirements were met. While I didn't have the pleasure to meet Donna, her counterparts, Kimberly and Mary, both took me under their wing for the hour I was there. They greeted me with a smile and cookies. I shared my story with my prior insurance company and they did all they could to make sure I'd receive the best deal possible for my home and car insurance. Throughout the process we traded stories and it was all around a pleasant experience. I was upset to find out that their french bulldog wasn't on duty that day but they shared photo's of Boss with me. While AllState may not have been the cheapest option for me, I am a true advocate for an organization's treatment of people. That's what led me to making the decision to go with them. I've been in my fair share of jobs that required that extra personal touch to see that these lovely women take their job and craft seriously. Kimberly found that I still had a lingering traffic violation from almost three years ago. They informed me that after the next few months, my violation wouldn't affect my driving record and that they'd update my policy immediately to save a considerable amount. They could have easily said that my policy is locked in at this price and squeezed me for a few extra hundred dollars. That was the moment they won my trust. Leaving my old insurance company was a big move for me. Having had the same agent for over a decade, i valued her input and I was sad to see her go. This review is for the wonderful service I received from Mary Campi. I've been with Allstate for over 5 years and I have always felt a special connection with Mary. I genuinely feel like she cares. Any questions I ever have she is more than willing to answer and make sure I have a complete understanding of my situation. She will recommend policy changes based on what I need and what will protect me the best. I trust her judgement and she has never steered me wrong. I recently filed my first claim after hitting a deer in my brand new car! When I first got my car Mary made sure I had the best coverage. She recommended what she would get for her children and I am so glad I listened to her. You never know what life is going to throw at you and that's where my comprehensive coverage really became useful. I had almost $3,000 in damage and it was covered. Although Mary wasn't the person that did my damage estimate she has been making sure that the body shop treats me fairly and fixes my car in a timely manner.
