originally had infinity insurance when I got the Mercedes Benz. They were easy to get at 10pm at night when we purchased the car from the dealership. Yet when we purchased the Road King motorcycle four months later, we knew we had to get some kind of bundle deal. A price that we could afford. Infinity insurance did not offer what we were looking for sadly. But when we gave gieco a call, right away I knew we were going to switch. When i called and spoke to a representative named jessica she proposed an auto policy was almost identical to what we were offered at infinity insurance but half the price!!! Woooohooo!! I love to save money and this is definitely the place to do it. They offered us a marriage discount, a good drivers discount, and it was even cheaper because we got our license when we were young. I thought we would only get a discount for switching like progressive but we didn't even need it. We saved so much cash that we were finally able to get a lit up Mercedes-Benz emblem installed on the front of the car. As well as airbags for my husbands motorcycle. Now we can ride in style baby! Thanks Jessica and gieco for making me feel like I'm cutting corners by saving some serious money. We were able to get full coverage on both the car and the Road King at a rate lower than what we were paying for the Mercedes-Benz alone. Sweeet! What blew my mind was were able to do everything over the phone. Talk about fast and easy. Saving us TIME and MONEY now. LOL. I was shopping around for motorcycle insurance and I probably could have done it online but it's always nice to talk to someone in person to help you get it done. I had the pleasure of working with Dulce and she was super friendly and informative. She made me feel very comfortable even though the place felt kind of dumpy. She walked me through the whole process and answered questions about each thing I was getting charged for that I did not understand. I appreciate her patients and professionalism. This GEICO location is super lucky to have an agent as great as her working here. I was in and out in about 10-15 minutes. She got me setup with a 12 month plan and I just payed for the whole year so I don't have to worry about weird charges in the future. If anyone is ever looking for insurance I'd recommend not this place but DULCE who works here. Getting setup was the easy part. If I ever have to use the GEICO insurance due to an incident (*knock on wood) I'll be sure to write an update immediately--may it be a positive or negative one. The only reason for the 1 star knock off was because when I first walked in the front desk didn't try to assist me and offer to help. Like hello, you have a potential customer here. Geico Insurance Sucks! My mother passed away, I provided all of the documents in the store. I paid for a full year. I gave a declaration in the store because things that did not belong to me showed up on my report. Geico's underwriting canceled my policy on my mother's car and sent me back my money because they claimed it wasn't done on their forms. It is difficult enough to deal with the passing and estate of a parent but to have companies make things harder on you when you are already going through a difficult time is just BS. I have not had this problem with any other company. Geico is the worst! read more

I was involved in a hit and run on 08/23/2021 at approximately 1300 hours. I called Geico on the phone to file a claim. The wait time was 40 minutes. I hung up and called again. The wait time is now 50 minutes. I decided to file a claim on line. The website failed to give me an update such as when an agent will call me or get my car fix. I called Geico at approximately 1800 hours and spoke to Brenda. She refused to give me a supervisor and constantly transferring me to another extension causing more wait time. Brenda refused to help me. The Geico office is located at 2195 Monterey Road in San Jose, California. Geico is poor in customer service and overcharge customers when involving a hit and run. I was the victim in the hit and run. How is this fair? Poor customer service and overcharging customers. read more

Do NOT go with Geico. They don't pay their claims and, when you need them, they will not be there. Another Geico customer backed into my parked car in a restaurant parking lot. This nice guy walked into the restaurant, asked who owned the damaged car, and gave me his insurance information. I thanked him. My friends and family said what a stand-up guy he is. And now Geico says there's no proof he hit my car---even though he admitted it and he STILL ADMITS IT TODAY! I can't believe this is even legal. It's definitely not ethical and it's a horribly way to run a business and treat your customers. If you have Geico, you're wasting your money. They don't insure you against anything because when you file a claim, you will not be paid. Shop somewhere else. Even if it costs more, it's REAL insurance. read more

This review isn't for corporate Geico, but for this particular Brent Fulk office. I routinely shop for cheaper auto insurance and haven't been able to get any lower than some of those high-risk casualty companies from Southern California. Recently I came into possession of a 2nd car (in addition to a new car that begs a large insurance premium) and it made me wonder if I could save even more. I sent a dozen emails out to agents in the Bay Area from major insurance companies to see if any could give me a better rate. Nearly none could actually get as low as my current premium with Farmers was. Dulce reached out to me from this office and gave me a rate that was far lower than my current rate. She was really friendly and cool with playing around with the numbers and the policy over the phone. It's my experience dealing with insurance agents that they sometimes get annoyed when you ask them for multiple options -- but that was not the case here. I'm aware that insurance companies operate on volume, but you wouldn't have been able to tell, as Dulce was more than patient in helping me decide on a final policy. I ended up saving a ton on my insurance, am paying less for two cars now then I was for just one, and I'm with one of the mainstream insurance companies. read more

GIECO IS THE WORST AND MOST UNPROFESSIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY!! I set a claim at 7:00 am but it didn't process due to more information needed. When prompted to speak with Morgan, my "claims agent", she hung up on me. I tried calling customer service and IT REDIRECTED ME BACK TO MORGAN WHO THEN HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN because I asked to speak with her supervisor. I Tried calling her a few more times after, but no answer. I had to search through the web for about 35 min just to find a number that didn't transfer my call directly to Morgan who wouldn't answer ONE CALL. The time is now 10 am and I've pretty much spoken to every department throughout the country just to hear the same thing - ONLY MORGAN CAN HELP ON THE CLAIM AS SHE IS THE CLAIM AGENT!! It is now 12pm and I've been trying to get a hold of someone... Anyone... who could help me simply submit my claim! But seems it's impossible to get any help in California. I had to talk to a representative in Florida who finally gave me the name and number of the supervisor and manager in charge of the California branch where my claim is. I get a call on a private number later to find out it was Samantha, a supervisor for the same California branch where my claim is. How did I find out it was Samantha? Because she left a voicemail, BUT DIDN'T LEAVE A CALL BACK NUMBER, EMAIL, EXT. NOTHING! Like what's the point of calling me and leaving a voicemail, if I can't reach you back? It seems from the claims representative (Morgan); to the supervisor (Samantha); even manager (Ryan) are all in cahoots together. Because I find it really hard to believe 3 people are non reachable while 1 hung up on me a handful of times and the other calls on a restricted private number just to leave a voicemail with no callback number! There is only 1 designated person that can handle your claim and that person seems to not want anything to do with my calls. So please. DO NOT GO WITH GIECO!! Especially if you're a California resident. They will just ignore your calls and pass down the situation to someone who either 1.) doesn't have authorization to look into your Claim or 2.) transfer you over to another customer service agent who will refer you back to point Uno. I've been on the phone trying to get ahold of 3 tiers of leadership and not one person has called me back. It is now 1pm. 6 HOURS LATER AND IM STILL IN THE SAME PLACE I STARTED. it answered the I will be ending my policy with Gieco as soon as my claim is over with. IF I EVER GET TO THAT POINT. Literally the worst and most pathetic way of doing business. Save yourself the headache. This is a negative star company only gave 5 stars so it's a top. read more

Geico Insurance needs to understand that their customers are all of equal importance. On November 27, 2013, a car rear-ended my vehicle while I was stopped at a red light. By default, the person who rear-ended my car is at fault. His insurance company is State Farm. I called Geico on the 28th and filed a claim. They stated that they needed to wait for State Farm insurance to contact their insured, to get a "word" from them, as stated by law, and that if I wanted my car fixed immediately, I would need to pay my insurance's deductible, which I can claim for a refund later on, from State Farm. I decided to wait instead for State Farm to contact their insured, so that no money goes out of my pocket at all. I figured that it would be more complicated to ask for a refund than to simply wait for State Farm to speak with their insured involved in an accident with my car. Two months pass. Currently, it is January 31, 2014 already, and State Farm has been sending me letters, notifying me that they are "still investigating" the claim, by trying to get in-touch with their insured because he has not responded to their messages yet. I was told by Geico and State Farm that there is a 40-day grace period by law, for them to get a word from their insured. 40 days has passed, and nothing has happened with my claim since I opened it. I called Geico recently, asking them to help me speed-up the process by getting in-touch with State Farm, however, I was met with disappointment when I was told that there was nothing that we could do but to wait it out. Now because I was the rear-ended, not the "rear-endee", Geico is not going to lose anything with my claim--it will be State Farm that will shoulder all the costs. So, why should Geico dilly-dally with my claim? They are not going to be shouldering any costs. It's pure laziness. From their handling of my case, I drew the conclusion that because my car was not involved in any relatively "major" damages, I could simply be brushed-aside and set in a procrastination pile of some sort. When I get the opportunity, I would certainly switch insurance carriers. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT SEEM TO VALUE THE BUSINESS OF THEIR CLIENTS. NO MATTER THE SCALE OF THE CLAIM, ESPECIALLY IF THEIR INSURED IS NOT AT FAULT, THEY NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT ALL THEIR CUSTOMERS ARE OF EQUAL VALUE, WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT. read more

My wife was hit by someone who had geico and man what a terrible thing that was. My wife and daughter were ok but our car was totaled. The geico insured driver admitted fault and we were told by geico that they would take care of the tow and storage and the rental. Well after a month of us constantly calling them getting the run around with multiple people we finally were told how much we would be getting back. Then ten minutes later we were told it was going to be way less than what was told to us just minutes earlier. Then they tell us there's a policy limit of $5000 after one adjuster tells us they can't tell us what the limit is. Bs. Then they inform us that the tow/ storage and rental will all come out of our settlement that was to replace our car that was worth 6500 so after they take the tow/ storage and rental out we get $3000. Ryan was the main adjuster. Don't believe a word this guy says if you have the unfortunate luck of being hit by a geico insured person. Had them finally print me a check after their bank transfer didn't go through since most banks have a low transfer limit. The first check didn't go through so after making a second trip to a different city to get it they get my name wrong but Oh well. Ryan never followed through with anything he said he'd do. Our car was towed to some auction place and was never told that it was moved. I had to find out by calling them to find out what was going on with our car. Bottom line you need to be on them the entire time to get them to do anything. Don't trust what they say. If you can afford a lawyer then get one. This has been a month and a half of stress and it's not over yet. Good luck if you ever have to deal with these snakes. My one advise is to try to talk with the female adjusters, they were very friendly and helpful. read more

This would get NO stars if I could. This rating is for Geico in general, not specifically the Monterey Hwyy Geico. On October 19,2014 I pulled off to the side of the road to park my car because I was feeling faint. I had stopped behind a vehicle and was going to put my car in park and put up the emergency brakes when I did lose consciousness. My car rolled a few inches into the car in front. I don't deny liability. I passed out and "rear ended" a car. the problem is I receive a letter of liability from Geico stating that they have FINISHED THEIR INVESTIGATION and deem me at fault because "our investigation shows...was principally at fault for the auto accident that occurred on October 19, 2014 because the driver of your vehicle was not traveling at a safe distance from the traffic ahead.When traffic stopped/slowed, your vehicle collided with the vehicle ahead of ti." this makes it sound like I was tailgating a car and slammed into it becauseI was going too fast. I am suppose to believe that this is a crack team of investigators when they can't even get the facts straight. I also mentioned that the car had paint chips and damage on it that did not come from my car. I can guarantee everyone that Geico won't even bother to "investigate" this and just pay out the claim and the man will get a completely new bumper for damage I did not even cause. Yeah way to go!!
