Joanna Lu is awful and only cares about herself and herself only! Joanna is also biased when it comes to certain races and people of color and does not care about her customers unless they are type of people. Because of COVID we were told we could have an extension to pay. Turns out she lied because we received letters from the DMV stating that our registrations would be suspended. Terrible service. Spoke to an extremely rude Monica from this office over the phone and ended up having a shouting match for me asking questions about my policy. Thanks to her I got to see the light of how this office rolls and switched over to USAA after being with this same office for 17 years. Wow have things there changed! At least on the final cancellation call I hear nothing but a loud musical instrument playing the entire time while I was speaking to the representative, to the point where I could barely hear her. I can understand covid and working from home, but damn, if you're too lazy to even find a quiet place to take a professional call in the name of work, then you must be the allstate party station where you can rock the hell out and argue with customers all day babe! This report is for allstate in gen. I called for roadside assistance and spoke to 5 people. Didn't transfer me to the right dept after speaking to the 1st person by the time I spoke to the 3rd person who hung up on me. So I called again and still didn't transfer me to roadside assistance dept right away...I waited and decided to hung up and just called private locksmith instead. Allstate responder is very slow and operato over and over , still none could help me . Spokesman to 5 people at Allstate. Glad I switched from allstate for my car. Oh my !!! This place is horrible I would give it a negative rating if I could because of the service provided by Joanna lu and her attitude is just making me want to slap her. This is what happend We were involved in a hit and run accident and we didn't catch the other guy now our cars totaled So we thought we were fine cuz we had collision, oh boy was I wrong It turns out that we had requested to cancel our collision insurance, which may I add I didn't recall, and they aren't helping me at all they were just like "sorry for your loss" like wtf why would I want collision not included my cars not even that old So we called and a customer service rep answered and she could even answer the basic questions that she was supposed to answer even when she claims that she could because Joanna's on the phone, and the rep would tell us that she would call us back when she had an answer, it took forever Finally we spoke to Joanna and she said that Amanda was forced to cancel collision and just thought it would be fine to cancel rental car too, since we spoke in Chinese what she said to us was roughly translated to "why would we cancel your colision policy we do have any hatred towards you" and " we're not that bored to do something like that" she said that to us like we owed her something. Two days after the car crash we found out policy in the mail "which they claim is the actual one" what perfect timing am I right ? If we changed our policy in February why would it come in the middle of April. I recently submitted a quote for All State Insurance and Joanna Lu and Amanda Kung assisted me with setting up my new coverage. I previously had Mercury Insurance and was looking for a ride share coverage that I was comfortable with. Mercury wanted to charge me $350/year just to "endorse" me and for the exposure of driving for Uber/Lyft but not offer any coverage if I got into an accident. I explained my concerns to Lu and Kung and after a few emails we worked out a quote that I was comfortable with and with higher coverage than my previous insurance company. I gave them four stars because after submitting my quote online, I had to provide my information twice over the phone because it did not get transcribed correctly when the local agency received my quote. I hope this does not affect my credit twice for redo'ing the quote. Overall, I am satisfied with the level of coverage and even though my premium is higher than Mercury, I got higher coverage and a ride for hire endorsement that makes sense for rideshare drivers. I've been with this insurance company since 1990 and I think that I'm going switch to another insurance company because of how they treat their customers. If you know of any good insurance company nearby please reply or something. Before there was two other people in charge when I was insured but now Joanna is just not caring when I got in an accident and started arguing with me when we called, they didn't even ask if I was okay. Before when we called they would treat us with care and would give us gift cards when we recommended their insurance, but what matters the most is they help me to chase my claim.
