I hate to leave a negative review, but this crossed a line. During a pedicure here, the technician scrubbed and massaged my legs using Dawn dish soap--yes, the actual dishwashing liquid used to cut grease off plates. When I asked what it was, she confirmed it was Dawn and then left it on my skin for several minutes. Not only was this never disclosed in advance, but it is not a skin-safe product and absolutely should not be used in a professional setting. Dawn is a degreaser--not body care--and contains chemicals not intended for prolonged contact with human skin. While I didn't have an immediate reaction, I was shocked and angry that something like this was used without my knowledge or consent. Clients deserve to know what's being put on their bodies. If this is standard practice, it needs to stop immediately. If not, it's a major lapse in judgment. Either way, I won't be returning--and I hope this review helps others make informed decisions about where they feel safe and respected. read more

I've been to Allure twice. The nail salon looks nicely styled and modern, with many nail stations and many nice pedicure chairs. There's a kind of bar area and you can order simple drinks if desired. They had capacity for walk ins. It seemed promising. However, I will not be going back given what I consider completely unacceptable level of cleanliness More specifically... The host clearly didn't want to be there and did not ask about ordering a drink or make any effort to be welcoming or really even just friendly. But it was made clear that tips must be paid separately in cash and they sure are on top of that even before your service is complete (unprofessional on both aspects). My first visit was for a pedicure and it turned out nice. I didn't notice the nail tech's tools on that visit - they're farther away and kind of out of sight out of mind in the pedicure chairs. My second visit was for a basic manicure. Again missed opportunity for a warm welcome. With the manicure, the nail tech's tools and supplies were up close and easily viewed. They were all visibly very unclean. The towels they put down were stained and did not seem clean. The clincher was when they whipped out a bottle of something to spray-clean and wipe off their tools. They also used this spray bottle on my fingers. I'd like to hope it was alcohol but I can't say that it smelled like alcohol. No autoclaved tools, no fresh disposable nail file at this place. I sure hope they can do better. read more

I don't often got to do a pedicure or manicure and I was hoping this place would just do a good job. It didn't have to be perfect or anything fancy... but don't hurt me. I paid for premium packages for my daughter and I. With my daughter was ok but less than 24h the nail polish is coming off. On my side, the lady who worked on me she was nice but clumsy. She hurt two of my toenails and she literally shaved a huge chunk of my skin. I am hurt and I can't even put shoes on. At this point I hope it doesn't get infected. Not only that really hurt ... she was clueless she even did it until after awhile... she said sorry of course but you should be better than that. Focus on what you are doing. People rely on your services. I didn't want her to do my nails anymore si I asked for someone else. She Second Lady did a good job. I would maybe return here but I will only ask for the best of all... not for the ones who are so bad at pedicures. Idida walk in appointment and got seated right away. having never had a manicure I had no idea what to request. my salon person didn't speak or seem to understand English so I had no idea what she was doing. the service was very fast. she clipped, shaped, massaged my hands (about 15 seconds per hand), applied polish and then put me under the dryer and disappeared. I had no idea how long to stay there but finally the desk person said I should be done. I looked at my nails and they were really uneven. Service seems to have gone down hill in the past year. This used to be my Go To place for a pedicure but they are always over booked and you can expect a 29-30min wait even with a reservation. I tried to see the same woman to keep with consistency but the more I saw her, the more annoyed she seemed. Last time I showed her a photo of a flower design on the big toe and she forgot about it and when I brought it up as she was finishing it uo - she let me know this addition was an inconvenience. I had shellac done the last 2 times and all the polish on my small toes popped off within 5 days of the procedure!! I'm going to try another spot in town with good reviews and see. read more

Had a lovely pedicure by Melanie a few months ago. I had awful toenails and she was so kind and caring. I don't get my fingernails done, but I've twice been to Allure and both times I felt cared about and pampered (I get the middle cost pedicure). It is roomy and comfortable, with a dedicated spot to sit and have your toenails dry. They are clean and professional. Pedicures are a treat for me, so I would definitely return! read more

I've been here several times and the service has been ok. I went here again recently and the nail tech that I had was awful. She decided I "needed a deluxe manicure" without sharing that with me and I didn't even know until I went to pay and the cost was outrageous. This really upset me as I wasn't looking for anything special, just basic shellac manicure. Not to mention, once I got home I noticed how unevenly painted my nails were, it looks like chunks are missing on some nails and some strips aren't even painted. Her personality was also very uninviting, she kept pushing more expensive pedicure options on me after I repeatedly said no and then she proceeded to give me very unsolicited and inappropriate pregnancy advice that made me unbelievably uncomfortable. I will most definitely not be returning to this place. *also don't leave any items laying around if you do go here. The first time I went, I left my sunglasses on the receptionists desk on accident after checking in (very expensive sunglasses) and when I went back to go grab them before even beginning my pedicure they were gone. I have a keen suspicion that the receptionist at that time took them, as no one else had come in after me and she acted very suspicious when I asked her where they were. Every single time I have made an appointment here they are late. And when I mean late, I mean 20-45 minutes. I'm really not sure what the point of making an appointment is if the wait time is as long or longer than the service. They offer no apologies. No acknowledgement of inconvenience. I came in here with short nails. I play guitar and need short nails. The lady who did my nails mocked me the whole time about how short my nails were and filed them until they bled. I love the service at Allure. Melanie does my nails, and has for about a year now. She's so kind. She is always so intentional about my desired length and shape. She works pretty fast, and is very skilled at what she does. At the same time though, I never feel rushed which makes the whole experience feel like a treat. I've had negative experiences at other salons where they work hastily but the women at Allure really care. Also, my nails are always so different and so cute and I always get compliments on them. I also wanted to mention Autumn, she does my pedicures and I adore her. I feel shy posting my toes haha, but she does amazing work. My friend sees Sera for pedicures and Calvin for Acrylic pink and white ombré manicures and her nails are always perfect. Experiences are always hit and miss at nail salons. But I have to say Calvin is the only person I ever want doing my nails moving forward. They are absolutely perfect. He listened to my requests and fulfilled them beyond my expectations. Then there was the pedicure with Kate. I've never gotten a pedicure that felt so amazing. A full 30 minutes of attentive intuitive massage and a lot of patience with my indecisiveness. I will be back, but it will be to see these two specifically. I went in today with my husband and daughter to get pedicures. I've had some bad experiences at this place before but I thought we'd give it one last shot. My experience today cemented my disdain for this place. First we were told not to be late for the 12pm appointment and then waited for 20 minutes. I've been there before with an appointment and had to still wait an hour. The woman who did my pedicure today seemed incredibly angry and took it out on my feet. I literally had to tell her to stop because she was hurting me. As you can see from the pictures, I would NOT recommend you go here. Got a pedicure and not even 4 days later I had not one but 2 toes just fall right off. Thankfully the manager was really nice and let me come in to fix it, but even after fixing and them doing doing a whole recoat on every toe. Somehow, another one fell off. I've come in here multiple times and i've been disappointed every time. It's one of the more expensive nail places in Longmont, and it's really nice inside but i've never had a good experience. I've come in and been picked out a color and then they painted a completely different color on my nails. Another experience i've come in and the mocked the shape of my nail beds. Came to Allure Nail Bar for the first time today. Had a pretty good experience. It is a very large location. One issue which somewhat set the tone was that we had an appointment at 11:15 and they really stressed being on time, but we had to wait 30 additional minutes, with very little communication from the staff about there being a wait. Beware that Sundays are apparently very very busy! Just got pedicures this time, but noticed they have a ton of dip powders and gel colors. The massage chairs are big and very comfortable. I went with the deluxe pedicure. Was somewhat surprised that pedicures start at $40 when I thought it was $35. The pedicure was pretty nice, but I feel like my nail tech was a little rough with the hot stones and scrub. She didn't communicate with me too much to ask about the pressure or anything. Also, I am used to the techs setting a timer when they add the lotion and do a massage, but this felt very fast. She did a mask, but rubbed it in with lotion and I don't feel like it did too much. I was hoping they would have taken their time a bit more. Plus, I was done about 10-15 minutes before my friend although starting at about the same time. I think I'll try this spot out again but maybe try nails next time. It was a good experience, but not incredible. Pretty normal. read more

My daughter and I have been here twice. The first time wasn't great but we decided to try it again. Bad mistake. When I sat down at the manicure desk there were used tools and a rag laying there. I thought for sure the manicurist was going to come clean up. She sat down, wiped of the cuticle tool (which had skin in it...gross I know) and asked for my hand. When I pulled back she looked shocked. After some miscommunication I found someone to help me explain what my concern was. She then got up and got sterilized tools. I should have left. I think I only didn't was because my daughter was in the middle of her manicure and I stupidly didn't want to make a fuss. I'm thinking I should report this to the health department. Why should a client even have to ASK for clean tools??!! read more

While my initial nail appointment went fine and I came out with what I asked for, my nails didn't last two days after getting them done. They snapped only days after getting them done, leaving me with bleeding nail beds and soreness in my fingers. I don't recommend getting your nails done here if you want them to last a while, especially if you don't have time to get them repaired. I checked their website and they charge for nail repairs, which my old salon never did. I'm not unhappy with the design that was done, but I am sad that my nails didn't last as long as I would have hoped. It would be nice to have free nail repairs if they're only going to last a few days. :( read more

Went here twice, once as a customer once with some family but didn't get anything done. First time I went was when I didn't have any services. Should have been a sign to not go there when they made my daughters grandmother divvy up the tips between three women for three different services she paid for (so it was fair) um how about we just don't tip? Not really our problem or concern. I went there and got a pedicure. Said I didn't want the one with the hot stone and they just ended up charging me for that one but not doing the hot stone. The person with me wanted the basic pedicure and they charged her for the hot stone one too. I asked for us to sit together and was told no even though the place was almost empty. My daughter asked for nail tips to be added and the nail technician- I do not know her name but she sits just in front of the reception desk- told her no! My daughter asked 3 times for the tips to be added, in case her request was misunderstood- and was told no all 3 times!!! The technician mentioned to my daughter that she didn't like the nail color she had picked and wanted her to pick a different color.
