This was the longest lasting non-gel manicure I've ever had. I've literally never gotten a mani that didn't chip after one day, but I'm on day 6 and my nails still look great! Alas, I live many states away and just happened upon it while visiting a friend so I won't be able to return anytime soon, but it's definitely worth a visit if you live in the area. - I can't even express my love for this place. We stayed there until 10:30pm because my whole family decided to get their nails done and we only ask for Cindy or Kathy. Mind you they close at 8. They really do take their time and make sure you're satisfied with your nails. Kathy even kept making sure everything's okay because she knew I was picky. They will never see me or my money again. I first went to this nail spa about two months ago after shopping at Nordstrom's Rack since they're next door. Tina did my gel pedicure and she did a wonderful job. Tina serviced me as a walk-in customer, she took her time, and she never left me alone for more than two minutes. Fast forward to Saturday, 05/28/2022 when it was time for another gel pedicure. I didn't expect to see Tina, but I definitely didn't expect the poor service. Their sign-in technology is wonderful as the system stores your name, information, and clients select the spa service of their liking. The technician told me to pick my color after I signed in while I was standing by the front door. THAT WAS THE FIRST RED FLAG I IGNORED. I was in the spa chair within two minutes and the technician went to work. I chose the extra pedicure service for $65.00 more. The technician was fast and her filing technique was so coarse I pulled my feet away more than twice. It came time for the technician to apply the color and use the heat lamp, but water was still in the basin! The technician did not drain the water after she cleaned my feet. The heat lamp was on the padded foot rest and it was a balancing act for me to keep the heat lamp far away for it to not lose its grip and fall in the water! I believe a huge part of the technician not realizing she did not drain the water was the obvious gossiping she participated in with the other technicians about clients as they came in for their pedicures and left after their spa service was over. The technicians sounded like fighting chickens when they gossiped in their native language not realizing I understood their conversations. It came time for the paraffin wax to be applied and I declined along with the stone massage because I did not want to be around their toxic, negative energy. I work all day during the week and going to a SPA to me means being in a relaxed and pleasant environment, not feeling like I am on a set for the Real Housewives of whatever. I am new to the area but have visited this salon at least 4 times now and have had several technicians, all have done a good job. If your getting a manicure I highly recommend getting dip, it lasts forever. Gel, on the other hand, has barely lasted me a week and sometimes only a few days. I don't know if this is necessarily the technicians fault or the polish, but dip definitely lasts the longest. The one pedicure I got was great. I would recommend giving this place a chance, but make an appointment before coming because they are frequently busy even during the week days. read more

They do not recommend or do SNS dip, so if you like Shellac Gel manicure then this is the place for you. I do not like Shellac, because you have to keep putting your fingers and hands under the UV dryer which is not good for you. I will say that Nancy is great, but the technique is limited with the Gel manicure, so unless someone is very talented they will not be able to do an ombre design with the Gel. I gave them 3 stars because they are very friendly, CLEAN, and would definitely recommend for the Gel and pedicures. read more

This is the best nail salon I've found in Gaithersburg. The staff is very polite and professional. The nail salon has a true spa like vibe.. dimly lite pedicure area with soft music playing in the background. They offer SNS products and have large selection of colors. (This product is great for my nails but not offered at many nail salons in the area). All of the nail technician are great here but I adore Linda. Linda is patient with me as a mull over the colors and helps me make a decision. I've never felt they rushed by them to get to the next client while I'm in the chair. They make you feel welcomed as soon as you step in the door. They are very meticulous about their services and will make sure you are happy when you leave their salon. The woman across from me was trying to close her eyes and relax, to no avail. It just went on and on and on. Literally not even a minute to breathe. I live across the street from this location and have yet to have my nails done since moving to Maryland so I thought I'd give it a shot. I only get my nails done every once in awhile and I was getting ready to leave for vacation so figured why not. My nail tech was Linda who was very very sweet. She asked plenty of questions and was very gentle buuuut I can't say that I love my naills. I got a powder gel french mani on my regular nails. The shape is nice, they feel nice, but the clear part of my nails are very 'foggy' opposed to clear. Another issue I have is that my thumb has a VERY noticeable bubble in it. It wasn't there for the first layer but was for the second. I thought she would smooth it out or do something to correct it but nothing. When I got to the end, I asked if the bubble was something under the nail (I was sooo hoping it was) so she tried to scrape the bottom of my nail, which didn't work. Over all, I'm not in love. I don't hate them, hence the three stars, but I don't think I'll be back. read more

I popped in because my regular person didn't have time. i was asked if I wanted gel and when I said no, the nail technician seemed to check out. the entire time I was there, one of the other technicians talked INCESSANTLY with the lady doing my nails. On Sunday I went to get gel manicures with my sister. The moment walked in the door (with appointments btw) they bombarded us with WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO, we answered gel manicures and also were prompted to choose a color. Literally 3 minutes into us choosing our colors, she rushes us to our seats that they were getting ready and rushing to find employees for our manicures. I don't know about you but I don't choose my color in 3 minutes. I'm actually quite slow with choosing a color because since I'm paying 35 dollars, I try to find a color that I don't usually wear, or don't have at home, also it'll be on my my fingers for 3 weeks. Anyway, we were rushed to our seats after 3 minutes and then when we asked to see all of the nail polish samples, they spoke in Vietnamese, and my lady told me to hold on because she was going to begin soaking the previous gel off my nails. I understand that it's a long process but you don't need to rush me. After they foil wrapped my nails, my lady left and gave me a new lady. That lady said the First Lady sucked and she took off my foil and redid it . After I finally chose my color, it was a deep purple and I gave it to the lady. She goes you shouldn't get that because it doesn't look good with your skin tone. "You're not supposed to choose a color based on if it looks nice, you're supposed to go off of your skin tone." So she said let me choose something better for you. I was so lazy to argue back so I didn't. She came back with a very basic dark red. Whatever. She started shaping my nails and filing and was very rough. Then she asks me if i want my cuticles cut. Well...:yeah....it's a gel manicure.....so I say yes but really thinking what is this woman thinking. She cuts and does a TERRIBLE job. Starts painting with gloves on. Her nail color she chose is literally ALL OVER RHE GLOVES. I thought at first why is she wearing gloves but then I saw the paint and said OMG yes this lady needs gloves. She finishes painting and it is completely uneven. And throughout thus entire manicure, she never once tells me to wash my hands I get home and it's not even over. She got nail polish on my sweater!! That is never going to come out. It was the worst experience EVER. I wanted to go back the next day but I didn't have time to. After writing this review, I kind of want to call today to tell about my experience but it's 3 days after. My cuticles are hideous again and my polish's has chipped. What a waste of 35 dollars UPDATE: I called them the day I wrote the review and Linda answered the phone. She was very sweet and very nice and told me that I could come in to get it fixed. I get there and Linda is very nice and does a much better job at my nails. She allows me to choose a color after changing my mind and did not rush me.she cut my cuticles. She was a very sweet woman and was very patient and nice to me. I highly recommend Linda at allure. If I were to ever go back, it would only be for Linda. read more

Called when they opened this morning to make an appointment for 2 at 3pm, a pedicure for my mother and a gel mani and pedicure for myself. We arrived, chose colors, and were seated together in the back. My mom's tech started on her pedicure and I waited. For 35 minutes. By the time my mom was getting nail polish put on, I left as it was obvious no one was going to do my nails and at this point my mom would be done by the time they even started on me. No apologies from the staff, no explanation. It was irritating and unnecessary and if you are understaffed don't accept a reservation. We've been going to this place for years; my mom usually goes to Titi, but we are going to look for another place as this is nothing special and clearly lacking organization. It is a nice location, I got right in on a Wednesday afternoon not busy at all, service was fine. I got a pedicure/manicure, I do like the ambiance in the pedicure room, it's very relaxing. They offer drinks but I have to say my manicurist's touch was a light as a feather so I didn't get the benefit of any massage, even applying lotion to my hands/leg which is very disappointing and my right hand filed weirdly. The pedicures are done in the back of the salon and it was dark in the room! There were pretty lights that hung near the feet so the nail tech could see what their doing. DO NOT GO!!! BEWARE!! This place has poor quality nail supplies and management refuses to take accountability. In May my mom and I came there to get some services done. By the time we left our bill was $200, not including the very hefty tip that we left for our technicians. I normally go to Phoenix Nail Salon to get my nails done, but we were headed out of the country the next day to celebrate my late brother's memorial and I just decided to let them do my nails and feet since we were pressed for time. Let's just say the very next day after spending so much money to get them done, my nail came right off. A couple days after that about two more nails came off and I saw air bubbles under several of the other nails. By the third day after getting my nails done I had 3 missing nails and a broken toe tip and I had to find a technician out of state to fix the repairs! I was going to let it slide, but being that we spent so much money there and it was clear that it was a poorly done job I knew I had to call and report this. Especially because In the middle of a pandemic I work very hard for my money and like to know that it's well spent! I called from overseas and after explaining the situation to 4 different people they told me that when I get back into the country to come back into the store and they will redo my full set for me for free. I explained to them that I would not be back until the week of the 21st and they said that was fine; just come in and tell them my name and they will take care of me. Well fast forward to today, I walked into the store and told the guy at the front why I was there and he continued to argue with me and told me that I should have came back when the first nail came off. I quickly explained to him that I was out of the country and also told that to the staff that I spoke to on the phone and they told me to come back when I get into the country and they will take care of me. Yet, this man who appears to be the manager continues to argue with me (in front of customers) and refused to perform the service that they told me to come in for! I drove 20 plus minutes and coordinated child care to have management now change their tongue and refuse to take accountability. At my normal nail salon I can have my acrylics on for 3 weeks without one nail coming off so I KNOW that it was a poorly done job. I used to frequent this salon so much to get pedicures and I would always go to Nancy and tip her like $20 and send so many people there, but after this I will never ever return, nor will I send any more customers their way. Just poor management skills and if you can't value your customers and correct your wrong when it's done, then I don't want to patronize your business. Just go to Phoenix Nail Salon instead. They do nails much better and are not too far away! Not too mention my mom's gel nails started coming off in 3 days!! I was initially excited to check out this nail salon since I heard it was new! I agree with previous reviews that the atmosphere is relaxing and the customer service is decent. However, I was very disappointed when I initially went in to get gel nails and my manicurist tried to upsell me to SNS nails. I declined the SNS nails, but due to miscommunication she started the SNS process before I could stop her. I also asked for a simple nail design that they all initially agreed that they could do. However, once we reached the point for them to do the design no one in the salon could do the design. Again, this was nothing complex and something that was advertised in their samples. They said only one lady in the salon (who was not currently working) could create all of the nail designs that they have on their samples. Regardless, I left the salon feeling extremely misled and not only did I not get gel I also did not get a design. The salon is also a bit pricey. It was an interesting experience at Allure Nail Spa. I made an appointment for a pedicure and dipping powder manicure. I normally do my own nails with dipping powder, but I was short on the bonding enamel and I had to travel soon. I had a different pedicurist and manicurist. I don't know the pedicurist's name, but I thought she did well. It was my first time at this salon and they have a big wall of color. I got there 7 minutes early but I was rushed into the chair. I didn't get to pick a color for my toes. The manicurist said I can choose a dipping powder color and she'll match it, but at first I didn't want an exact match. Anyway, we start the pedicure and she asks me what color I want and I asked for neon pink or hot pink, but she comes back with three colors of fuchsia. I told her none looked neon so she leaves and comes back with colors that look a little more purple. Lol. I ended up changing the color to mint and thankfully my purse was mint so I could show her exactly what color I wanted. She ended up choosing a great mint color. Kathy was my manicurist and I appreciate her time and attention to detail. I must have scared her when I told her I could be a difficult client. She must have thought I was picky and hard to please, but I meant that I was difficult because I am very indecisive. We found a mint dipping powder to kind of match my toes. My nails are a little more sea foam, but no complaints. It's rare to find a close match between powder and polish. The ladies at the salon redid my pedicure polish. Not sure what happened because it looked just fine to me, but a few of the ladies examined my pedicure and thought it could be better so they redid the polish. No idea what was wrong but they are the professionals and I appreciate them wanted to fix whatever was wrong. Also, Kathy was doing a pedicure on someone else when I came in and her client was so relaxed she fell asleep. The place was busy, but she let her client rest, which I thought was very sweet. Manicure and pedicure came out great. I would like to experiment more with dipping powder and designs. read more
