I got a gel pedicure and manicure with clear polish. It was a bit pricey to me... The lady who did my pedicure gave a nice massage but it is a pretty no-frills place. Which was cool. But I was not expecting the bill I got. Also they do not show you the prices of anything, not before or on your receipt. I wasn't very fond of that. I stopped in quickly and sporadically but I wasn't quite expecting that cost. My cuticles were cut too low as well... afterwards some feel oddly sore and you can see that it bled a little... like i got pricked... that's kinda dangerous and won't grow back well either.. Also... parking is hard.. I had no idea where to go and ended up blocking around and walking a little Update.. ONE DAY after my visit my cuticles look shredding and are already peeling. .. they were nice people but just not the quality I expected for the price or for a professional.. I mean really guys my cuticles are bad.. ONE day after.. I had Mai May for SNS and Vicky for a gel pedicure, both were fantastic! Super nice women who did the services quickly and precisely. Pleasantly surprised based on the other reviews that the place wasn't packed at 6 PM on a Wednesday. If I weren't only in town for a few weeks, I would 100% make this my go-to place! This is a nice and conveniently located nail salon in Midtown, the space and setup are nice - lots of service options. Check for revised pricing, the photo I saw said a manicure was $13 but revised pricing was $20. I did not care for my technician - he was a bit rude and didn't do the best job on my nails, I have to go get two nails completely redone and don't want to return here to do so even though it's a 3-minute walk from my hotel. He rushed the service, cuticle shamed me, and did a really poor job on my polish. I'm sure other technicians are lovely and I probably would return here on another visit to ATL and ask for a different person. They validate parking at a nearby garage and I didn't have to wait for service, lots of availability and they have massage chairs. read more

I was here for a work trip and since all my coworkers had perfect gel manicures, I was inspired. I had some time and walked over to this place, it was near my hotel. This is a no-thrills salon, there was no soaking my hands, no massage to speak of. I noticed it was all male employees. They had a huge selection of gel, the largest I ever saw, it was overwhelming. They did a great job on my nails both cuticles, shaping and applying polish. It didn't look thick and looked very natural. It lasted for a long time, I did redo it after 2 1/2 week because my nails grew out but there was no chips or peeling. read more

You all stated it was normal for the edges to be missing polish like that and attempted to argue that it was just the top coat causing it to look like the color was missing. I needed a last minute Gel Manicure & Tony talked me into trying the Powder Dip. Aside from the color not being dark enough with only two dips, I didn't prefer not being able to wash my hands. With the oil started to bubble on my nail, Tony stated it was due to oil from hands...exactly, hence the need to wash. A few other nuances, yet since he serviced me 20 minutes before closing, I went with the flow. I'm interested in trying the Powder Dip again, yet with my normal Technician. For darker colors, I would suggest 3 dips oppose to 2 as the color is not as vibrant. In addition to my Check In special of $5 off, I still paid $40 including tip. I can't really compare prices of Gel to Powder as I'm not familiar to what the normal price of Powder is. A family oriented business with friendly & funny employees. read more

I am an elderly women with a few physical disabilities and this was the first time, I can truly say I had the best service provided by Mindy. She was gentle and caring and now I think I have found a nail salon that I feel comfortable with. Allure is new to Hampton located in the Shops of Walnut Creek, next to the new Publix, it is clean, respectful, and very peaceful. I stopped by Allure on weekday evening for a very necessary manicure! Allure is located right next to Piedmont park in the first level of the Azure apartment buildings. I called midday for a reservation and had no problems getting an appointment. As soon as I arrived I was promptly greeted and seated. If you check-in on Yelp you receive $5 off of 30! This was great because a gel manicure is $30(sns no manicure starts at $35). The technician and staff were also very friendly and detailed oriented. It also looks like they take cleanliness seriously. After a long day I chose the location in part because Yelpers said there was wine! When I went I wasn't even offered water so I'm not sure wine is still a thing. If that's what you're used to this is probably not the spot. Parking was also a hassle. I called and was told to park in the building. All the entrances I saw were pretty clearly labeled residents only. Someone happened to be pulling out from a street spot on my second try otherwise I would have been out of luck! I don't know that if there's no wine and the hassle I'd try again compared to other spots. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I walked in and told the receptionist exactly what I wanted, SNS with tips, and I asked how much it costs and she told me $50. I sit down and pick a color (pearly white) and showed the person doing them a picture of the shape I wanted (I'll attach a picture of what I wanted and what I got). He tried to get me to get a different color but I told him I wanted the one I already picked out of their selection. He started doing the nails and they were pink instead of white, which I decided I wasn't going to make a big deal about. After reading some other reviews, I figure they try to get people to pick colors different from their initial choice because they probably don't have every one that they let customers choose from (it was like 100 different color options I was told to pick from). In the middle of him doing my nails, he asked if the length was okay, and I said I want them shorter. He continued to do the nails without clipping or filing any more length off of them. Mind you throughout this process the station I was seated at was not cleaned once. My hands stayed on top of the pile of color samples, nail clippings, and the tools that were used earlier on in the process. Not a single time did the technician stop and clear the station or move anything out of the way. I finished and went to pay and I was charged $65 because I "got them long" and I said "oh, you told me they're $50 when I came in" and they refused to charge me the price I was initially told. I will never go back here. I was lied to about the price, didn't get what I paid for, and I was given long nails so I could be charged for them. The entire experience is a scam for the business to steal your money. Response to the business: I didn't change my color at all. I knew what I wanted when I walked in and picked it and the technician put it to the side in the pile of colors so I had to look for it again to show him. These professionals did a splendid job on my very first gel manicure. I accepted the up-sell to French style, a bit skeptical about the two-weeks durability claim. July 2020 was my second visit to Allure Piedmont, and I had full trust from their impressive service on my Dec 2019 visit. The past 9 days I've been hand-washing dishes, shampooing, doing laundry, typing, weeding gardens,and traveling through 2 airports with baggage claim. My nails look pristine, and feel smooth and strong. They've grown 9 days' worth from the nail bed, but the manicure is so good it's barely noticeable. Allure on Piedmont is clean, considerate, compliant, and accommodating. Masks are required and temperature screening is done for every client. I will return to Allure every time I want manicure services in Atlanta. Thank you so much! UPDATE: My nails are still holding up well in the 14th day. I'm usually hesitant to try new people because I'm extremely particular and specific about my nails, especially my pedicures when it comes to filing and shaping. This was my second attempt to find a nail salon in midtown. Overall, a good experience and I will go back. I'll start with the fact that I was asked to use hand sanitizer before touching anything which was a definite positive. I made an appointment with Tony per the other yelp reviews. While I waited for him a woman brought me a bowl to soak my SNS and told me to rub them with the paper towel to get the SNS off. I was pretty disappointed because I felt like I was paying them to take off my SNS when I was really sitting there doing it myself. Getting your nails done should be a pretty passive experience and rubbing them with the paper towel was less pleasant than having them wrapped in foil with a soaked cotton ball and then the powder gentle removed with a metal tool. It took about a half hour after my appointment time for Tony to sit down which was not really ideal. He did, however, do an excellent job. He was efficient but didn't rush. Sometimes SNS can end up too thick or uneven depending on the viewing angle but Tony was careful to check each one and left my nails the perfect thickness. They look beautiful and natural. The price seemed fair, $53 for a manicure and SNS color change. I used the yelp coupon for $5 off after checking in. TLDR: wasn't happy with the SNS removal experience but Tony did a great job and I will go back. read more

Popped in here the day before I left for vacation to get a long lasting/ maintenance free gel manicure - loved the service & Covid precautions but literally ONE day into vacation & the top portion of one nail is peeling straight off!! I could go on and on about how bad this service was, but I'll keep it short. Multiple toes were bleeding. Multiple fingers were bleeding. The technician painted over the blood instead of trying to clean it off first. The technician also cut my toenails and fingernails way too short. I complained to the technician and she said "you have ingrown nails that I'm trying to get rid of." I complained to the manager and she said, "That happens sometimes and if you don't want that to happen, you need to tell us to just pull the skin back instead of cutting it." This salon shouldn't be trusted to do a good job of pink & white. This is my review of that service only: I asked for someone who was seasoned in doing pink and white because it is, for a lot of nail technicians, harder than other services. I got paired with Kim for her to do my nails. I went in on a Monday, and she took more than 2 hours to do my nails. When she was starting to put the top coat on, I asked in disbelief if that was going to be my final look, because it was NOT the pink and white I was used to. The "blend" of pink and white was hardly that. You saw the distinctions of where the pink ended and where the white started. She said it was due to the material that she had. I asked her to take it off and put on gel. I wish I had pictures of that gel as well, because boy was it bad. I counted more than 20 bubbles in the span of my 10 fingers. I was told to come back after she had the proper materials to do pink and white, which is exactly what I did. I came back on Thursday for the EXACT problem to happen all over again. I was so upset because at that point I had wasted 3 hours of my busy schedule to come for nails I didn't even like. I told her I wanted it off my nails because I didn't like it at all. They tried to convince me that it looked fine, but I've gotten pink and white plenty of times before, and it never once looked like that. I was promised that I would be contacted by the owner about getting a refund. It has since been a week with no refund and no contact. At this point it is not the issue of getting the refund, but the fact that the owner knows about my situation and has not reached out is upsetting to know. I will not be returning. read more

I went to Allure for the first time a few days ago for the first (and second) time. I had an old gel manicure from another salon and my nail tore. I messaged Allure asking about coming in to fix it and Ngoc let me know that I could come in any time that day. I walked in and she added some nail glue to the tear-- for free! She was very kind and the salon is clean and beautiful. I came in two days later to get a gel manicure and it turned out amazing! People have been asking me if these are my real nails which is how you know they look great. I didn't catch the name of the nail artist that did my gel manicure, but she gave my nails a lovely round shape and she was also very kind and friendly. I also appreciate that they use a gel lamp that doesn't expose your entire hand to the light. Today was my first visit. I called before and asked for SNS and they were quickly able to make me an appointment. I had never had sns before but knew I wanted to try it There was not a whole lot of nail prepping. I had to ask for my cuticles to be trimmed. That could have been on my for not asking for a manicure with sns ‍ There was a lot of clutter at the chair, multiple nail clippers/files/nail coatings, etc. could have been cleaned up and looked more presentable. Some of the nail clippers and cuticle cutters looked previously used and not sterilized. The nails turned out okay, I like them, but I had to ask him to go back and remove the "excess" color on the side of my nails. Things I shouldn't have to ask for, it should have been noticed.
