She was recommended to us by our realtor so I gave her a try & have never regretted it! I do frequently receive compliments from people on my hair style when I'm out & about. Saw Jon Scott today and he was amazing! Being a new mom I've gone a long stretch without getting my hair done so it needed some TLC. Jon has such great attention to detail. The best highlight job I have ever had, I love the color! He was also so insightful on my hair type and product to get the most out of it. Trusted his opinion and the outcome was exactly what I wanted! My first time at this salon was a great experience. First of all, when I saw that they have on line booking, I was in; it is so convenient to book these beauty appointments through web sites and apps. Second, I saw Amber who is the owner, and she did an excellent job with the colour. I am always nervous to see a new stylist but this worked out great. Ill start by saying that Amber did an amazing job cutting my hair. Very happy with the look. Thats where the good ends. Each visit started with, "we need to fix your color." Each time I would advise, I don't color my hair. I have natural red blonde hair. Not sure how she was seeing grey grow out. I kept returning for the cut. On my last visit, it was clear she slipped in a friend in front of me. I arrived almost 10 minutes early and she was just getting started. It was a morning apt so she should not have been running late. She did not even acknowledge my presents. After waiting 30 minutes, listening to her converse with and cut her friends hair, I told the receptionist I had another apt and left. No phone call, no apology. Another review said they felt like an annoyance and I concur. read more

This was my second visit to Allure. I liked the first time enough to return but never again. I went for a perm but came home with more than a perm. Even though it was 90 degree outside but I did not expect to be soaked with water. After the stylist finished washing my hair, I got totally soaked with water on the whole back of my clothes and all the way to my jeans. Then I was left freezing in the cold AC as my hair being blown dry. The air for my hair may be warm but it felt cold to me because I was freezing. Then I was once again soaked after she rinsed off the neutralizer on my hair. After getting soaked, being in the freezing AC, and getting soaked again, I came home with a headache. Today I am in bed with a headache, running nose, sore throat and cough. I have never been soaked in a hair salon in my life, not even at beauty schools during my college days. Sorry to say I will not return to Allure again. read more

We moved from Southern California a little over a year ago and I had tried places in Portland that I thought were just okay, so decided to try something closer to my home and found Allure doing a Google search. I could not be happier with how my hair turned out! I booked a cut and highlights with Anna after reading in her bio she's an expert with blondes, and that is completely true! She is amazing! Anna was easy to talk to and understood exactly what I wanted. The blonde highlights are some of the best I've ever gotten and I love my cut as well. They also use really great products (Unite), but don't try to sell you anything extra which I appreciate (although I do plan to purchase since the products were amazing and speak for themselves). The salon is super cute and all staff is friendly. Anna was running right on time and made the entire experience relaxing and enjoyable. The price is also extremely reasonable for the quality service you get. I feel so lucky that I found Allure and Anna! read more
