But, she just recently found out that the security guard that has been securing this community for the past few years is being let go because of the new fencing and she feels really uneasy (as do other resident friends of her) not knowing who she will call to respond quickly for any incident as she's been able to do in the past with this security guard at any time of the night or day. I personally have seen this security guard locking up the top entrance gate late nights and at various times when it was left open. I was also in the parking lot when I saw this security guard help a senior who had fallen in the bushes and also saw this guard help when a senior needed to move their vehicle because of a medical issue. I enjoy visiting her and the facility is very beautiful and well-kept and the people who work here are very courteous, as was the security guard who will now be sorely missed by my family member.

My parents are considering relocating to the Bay Area and are looking for independent living facilities. I toured this place on their behalf and I fell in love. I was wondering when I could move in. Lol. This place is bright and clean and cheerful and everyone greets everyone. My tour was fantastic. I got so much information and such a great feel for the place. They offer so much here, including weekly outings, weekly social hour, bingo, a library, a salon, a gym, and I'm sure I forgot a lot more. Disgusting! Sunrise Villa is NOTHING like that though! This is a fancy pants place! When you walk in you are blanketed by the amazing smells of the delicious food from the kitchen, and the dining room has chandeliers, cloth napkins, crystal glasses, and table service with huge menus for every meal! It's literally like a fancy restaurant for every meal for the residents! That cannot be beat! The entire place is immaculate, with no dirt or bad smells anywhere that we can detect, and that's a huge plus. Just the idea of assisted living usually conjures up negative things but Sunrise Villa creates a whole different experience, a wonderful one. My folks have only been there for one month, having come from a beautiful hilltop home on sonoma Mountain, and they are both already saying they are happy there. There are tons of amazing activities scheduled all day long, and their amazing two bedroom apartment gives them a living room, a bedroom, and an extra bedroom for my father's computer and office. On top of all that, Grace, who helped us through every step, is the most kind, loving, understanding, and patient person to help your family through this difficult time. She is amazing! Thank you Grace! Sunrise Villa is not cheap however, and you'll need plenty of money in order to stay there, but it's definitely worth it, and they have created an assisted living facility that takes the sting out of the painful family process that leads to the need for it. I recommend it highly, if you can afford it.

I will preface this with , do not place anyone you love at Solano Post Acute aka Windsor (make sure…read moreto search yelp for that name because they are still receiving reviews under Windsor Vallejo Care Center) My grandfather was at Solano Post Acute for 90 days following a stroke. He was to be getting physical therapy and care. Instead he got neglect and abuse. I had to be there every single day/multiple times a day to make sure he had his water refreshed (50+ times), make sure he got his soiled diapers and bedding changed, & make sure that his food & drink were in arms reach. Most times that I showed up to visit my grandpa he would be laying in a soiled diaper and soaked sheet. I would have to physically go out and find a CNA to clean him up because the response times on the call lights are little to none. Speaking of call lights, a lot of times when I went to visit my grandpa... the call button was on the floor out of his reach. My grandpa and his neighbor both told me that staff takes away their call buttons. If this neglect wasn't bad enough, the night before Father's Day my 77 yo bed bound grandfather was punched in the face 4 times in one instance by a fully mobile 60 yo resident while under the "care" of Solano Post Acute. Solano Post Acute "cares" so much that they didn't even notice this attack occurred. Supposedly no one knew a thing. Guess who brought the attack to staffs attention after entering my grandfathers room and being greeted by a black eye with a gash? ME! I couldn't believe what I was witnessing. Nurses quickly rushed to my grandpas bedside and started a strange line of questioning. The attacker wasn't present at the time and the nurses were struggling to figure out what happened. When the ball got passed from Nursing to the Administrator a couple days later, he told me that the attacker denied the allegation and there is nothing else that could be done because my grandpa doesn't fully remember the attack. Well we now know that to not be true because the facility was violated as a result of the complaint that I made to the department of Public Health regarding this incident. The attacker admitted to the investigator that he hit my grandpa 4 times and he said that he also admitted that to the Administrator & Vallejo Police days prior. I'm not sure why he wasn't arrested or removed from the facility, but he was still in the facility(different room) for atleast 18 days after the attack. As soon as the violation was given to the facility... the attacker was gone in the wind. Do not let the remodel and name change fool you. Please please please do not send anyone you love here! Our elderly deserve way better care and concern than what Solano Post Acute is giving out.

It's an impressive community, and the residents we met were warm, happy, and very friendly. The rooms are exceptionally large, include small kitchens, and the entire facility feels clean, upgraded, and well-maintained, comparable to many of the more expensive communities I visited. Despite its lower cost, Cogir of North Bay still offers all the essential amenities and a pleasant, welcoming environment. It's also conveniently located near Sutter Medical Center, and online reviews are consistently positive. Overview The facility includes approximately 100 apartments: about one-quarter are independent living units, and the remaining three-quarters are assisted living. The rooms are spacious and include kitchenettes (much larger than those in most assisted livings). The staff appeared friendly and welcoming during our visit. Assisted Living Fees (as of November 2025) Studio Apartment: $3,095/month One-Bedroom Apartment: Starting at $3,295/month Community Fee: Equal to one month's rent (one-time fee) Medication Management: $625/month Shower Assistance: $300/month Escort Assistance: $625/month Dining Assistance: $750/month Two-Person Assistance: $1,125/month Diabetic Management: $750/month Enhanced Behavioral Support: $750/month Enhanced Nursing Support: $1,000/month Annual Rent Increase: 5%-6% Special Offer: First month's rent free Additional Notes: Basic rent includes transportation to appointments in Vallejo on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Toilet paper and tissues are not included in the rent fees. Residents can purchase those at their store if desired. The facility's food budget appears to be limited; for example, a vegetarian sandwich with avocado seemed to be a challenge. This is not surprising, though, considering the lower cost. They also didn't seem willing to accommodate the request, even when we offered to pay an extra monthly fee for the avocado (which was disappointing, as our family member currently likes to eat an avocado sandwich for lunch every day).

Both Sabrina and Jasmyne jumped through hoops to get the ball rolling and did everything they could to help us through the process. Unfortunately, circumstances outside of their control prevented the placement from moving forward, but that doesn't take away from the kindness, professionalism, and effort they showed us. When families are navigating difficult decisions involving a loved one's care, having people who communicate, listen, and actually try to help makes a tremendous difference. The manager at the time was a very friendly, helpful man whom I don't think is there anymore. The initial review does bring up legitimate concerns about housekeepers&dietary aides doing work outside their sphere of training. While I did witness that a few times, most of the time, they simply made sure my friend was clothed, fed, and had a clean environment. He was able to live as independently as he could, until his Alzheimer's was so debilitating he was moved to another facility in Arizona. Aegis is clean&appealing. They have a friendly, personable, attentive staff. While it has its shortcomings (all facilities do), the positives outweigh the negatives. The parking lot is kind of small, but one can park on side streets. Very pleasant.

She is truly caring and loving yet professional as well. She is a skilled nurse so our family felt very confident regarding the physical well being of our mother. Olivia made sure mom had healthy, tasty food that she liked to eat and kept her clean and comfortable. She also makes sure the residents don't just stay in their rooms or beds but has them in the living room which is open to the kitchen so it is a very inviting environment. Well into her 90's, my mom was a bright, cheerful and intelligent woman. Her last couple years were characterized by the typical and in her case rapid diminishing of her ability to communicate and function as an adult. In spite of having no prior history with her, and my mom's increasing irrationality and at times downright stubbornness, Olivia cared for her like a loving daughter would her own mom, allowing us to see her progress to her recent departure with dignity and comfort. It gave us tremendous peace of mind to know that, unlike the facility we moved her out of to be at 7th Heaven, our mother got the best care anyone could hope for, both physically and emotionally. I and my siblings cannot recommend her highly enough, and thank God there are alternatives like 7th Heaven around (and they are not all alike!!)
