The owner here is very kind and respectful, as well as the therapist I saw, on a personal level I enjoyed my time here. However I feel that my honest feedback could be valuable to other people like myself who choose based on reviews. I also hope that this can help them improve the care they provide. If you're seeking actual assessment, progress, and recovery for an injury, I would not recommend this practice. I felt that there was no attempt to actually understand what my issue was. After a super brief assessment consisting of mostly just questions, I was told it was probably just muscle tightness. My next several appointments consisted of riding the bike, being asked from 1-10 how much pain, and then performing a really weak series of stretches, and being told I can go ice at home. For how much physical therapy costs, I found this really disappointing. Each time I came in I reported that it felt the same, and it didn't feel any different after leaving, sometimes it actually felt worse. When I asked what the plan was, it was to just continue on for 6 weeks, and if that didn't resolve it, to go my doctor for a scan. It felt like there was no plan, no desire to understand what was causing my issue, and no assessment of progress. I came hoping to solve my problem and it felt like I was just being put through the motions. After a few weeks of appointments I feel more confused and frustrated than when I started. I've done physical therapy at other practices, and had a very different experience. I'm glad I have had those other experiences because otherwise I would probably think the PT business is unhelpful and expensive based on how this went for me. read more

I was very happy with the knowledge, care and guidance of Siddhi after my knee meniscectomy. She gave me a range of exercises that are suitable to continue at home and at each visit, asked good targeted questions and actively listened and responded with great solutions. Staff is extremely kind- the aids are "on it". The office is well-run. We are so lucky to have them in Almaden! I'd go back again (and prob will at some point). My Orthopedist recommended them for post surgery to rebuild my core after Kryroplasty surgery on my L1 because of location. I called at 11:00 and and they called back after 6:00pm. The woman was all friendly and seemingly accommodating until she asked what insurance I had. When I said Medicare - she said "What is your secondary insurance?" (None right now.) "Oh wow, were are booked up until mid-March, and the waiting list has 10-people - this might not work for you." She is right. Couldn't recommend another practice. I will definitely let the huge Orthotic practice Golden State that Almaden Physical Therapy is unable to take on Medicare patients. read more

Awful staff that treats any typical scenario as a huge inconvenience, and literally scolds you with condescension and anger. This place is for you if you love: - The entire staff complaining about very standard parts of their job on a daily basis - Staff struggling with the computer and getting flustered and emotional when trying to schedule or reschedule appointments - Admins who refuse to do a quick Google search or call your insurance when there's an issue - A physical therapist who doesn't bother to investigate the actual progression of your condition - she just asks you "how are you doing" and then regardless of your answer, puts you on the same routine for the rest of the appointment - Staff giving clients full blown lectures for not bringing a mask when they suddenly decided not to provide them ("We can't afford to give you clients masks anymore, bring your own!!") - Clients getting screamed at for being 3 minutes late once (despite consistently needing to wait for them to be ready for me for 5+ minutes each session) read more

I went in for PT for a shoulder injury. I had been to a couple of other places but Almaden PT were the best. Siddhi was able to diagnose the issue very well and along with her team, gave me very good, individualized attention with very specific stretches that alleviated my issue. I went to Almaden Physical Therapy for my climbing-induced tennis elbow. After about 2 months of treatment, my elbow went from extremely painful when I made certain movements (like for example shook someone's hand), to barely noticeable. I recently started going to physical therapy and this place is wonderful! I have been seeing Siddhi Shah and in just 2 visits she has dramatically reduced the pain and helped me to regain my mobility. All the staff is friendly and accommodating. They are careful to make sure you are never in pain with any of the exercises. With all of Siddhi's caution I was shocked at how fast the progress has been, but she is an expert. Full disclosure: I work for Almaden PT. However, there's a new Dr. of Physical Therapy, Siddhi Shah, who I have received treatment from twice this week. After my first visit the pain I had felt since August of last year in my neck and shoulder .. getting progressively worse...totally disappeared for nearly 2 days! I had my next treatment today and I'm feeling more flexible with better range of motion. Siddhi has used some new modalities in her treatment I've found very beneficial. I'm excited and hopeful that this therapist knows exactly what to do to get me back to normal or better. I needed therapy for a torn meniscus. Siddhi was very caring, attentive and patient. Siddhi and her team challenged me with various exercises to relieve my pain, strengthen my knee and give me more flexibility to get back to normal. I highly recommend Almaden Physical Therapy - Siddhe and her staff are amazing. I came in with a lot of pain in my neck/shoulder blade area. They helped me learn some great stretches, and were patient with me. I then graduated to strength exercises, all the while getting better. I'm pleased to say I am no longer needing Ibuprofen to manage the pain, as it's so much better. The most important lesson I learned is to pace myself in my activities (a humbling though necessary thing to do), stop and stretch when needed or stop entirely; take a break. It's not essential to be Superwoman and get everything accomplished. Thanks for all your help Siddhe and staff - I'm so grateful to be so much better! read more

Supriya doesn't bother explaining the rationale for any of the exercises and doesn't give you the time of day if you ask for elaboration. The treatment feels prescriptive, as if she goes down a checklist, and doesn't seem to really offer personalized care. The staff also seems overworked, given they're always grumpy and complaining about how busy they are. Weird vibes all around. I went to a different PT after a few sessions here. read more

Siddhi is a very good physical therapist. I am in my mid 70s and have had back problems since a childhood injury. Siddhi and Minoo have helped me regain balance and relearn how to walk backwards. The clinic has a lovely atmosphere, cheerful and caring. I highly recommend Almaden Physical therapy to just about everyone I meet. Went for a consultation and treatment with no improvement, this is place is so much overpriced and they use low cost material in my case muscle tape, cost wasn't detailed on the first call or visit. Therapist was allocating few times during the session and always resorted to applying ice/ultrasound/laser only without looking at range of motion or applying any manual work. read more

I went to this place because it's near my house. There were no weights or gym equipment here. The therapist who saw me could not explain things to me and didn't listen to what I said. She gave me exercises that someone in their 80's should be doing, not someone their 30's. I basically wasted an hour of my time for things I already knew. I got a call from her a day later about billing the insurance company. Again she was rude and didn't listen to anything I had to say. I won't be going back. I'll go some place else. I recently hurt my back and was recommended to Almaden Physical Therapy by my physician. When I got to my first session, I could barely get out of my car and stand up. After the session, which was consisted of a very gentle message, deep tissue ultrasound, gentle back/core exercises, and electrical/ice therapy, I was able to stand up straight and had much less pain. I continued on the course of therapy with increasingly more difficult and strengthening exercises. These consisted of serious core strengthening excesses (which I continue to do to prevent further injury), stationary bike, treadmill among other machines. I "graduated" last week and am now pain free. I found the therapist to be a very knowledgeable and caring. The rest of the staff was professional and focused on my well-being. I highly recommend APT. Also, my 18 year old son rehabbed a broken elbow at APT and shares my opinion. read more

I went to Supriya Maniar for treatment of my shoulder pain (adhesive capsulitis) and have seen tremendous improvement in the just the first two sessions Supriya is very patient, and spent a lot of time treating me for the above condition, and showing me the exercises which I should be doing at home.
