This a a quality salon. They are very skilled and service oriented. The owner is a chemist and she measures products with accuracy and will have your hair looking beautiful and always makes sure you're hair stays healthy. They are full service and I recently had some treatments done by Danyah who has a MD in Esthetics. I did micro needling and a custom facial peel w light therapy. Me and my sister went to Almaz Salon 3 months ago, in October 2014 for our best friend's wedding. As soon as we walked in, everyone was friendly and super nice! I showed them some pictures of what I wanted (a braided updo with rhinestone pins) and got exactly what I wanted. It was beautiful and I highly recommend this place!!! The lady who also did our makeup was great, she listened to our suggestions and took our pictures into consideration, and gave us AMAZING makeup that didn't budge all night. I do not know how I have never reviewed this place before, the excellent hair advice I receive is professionally given. I come in every few months to change up my hair color, and they never fail to make me feel like a new person with confidence. The feel of the salon always makes me want to come back, it has a healthy natural fun vibe to it where I do not feel awkward and I am able to really understand the different things that can effect hair growth and coloration. I don't live in Chicago but every time I come to visit (which is ALOT) I make sure to stop by and get my hair done here. Lena the owner does a marvelous job and coloring and highlighting and Eman has hands of an angel. She blowdries beautifully and cuts exactly like you ask. They are honest hard working people. I have never left the salon unsatisfied. If I don't like something they tell me to come in the next day to fix my issue. LOVE LOVE this salon and the women who work there.... I just discovered this salon and will never go anywhere else. I finally found someone who understands my hair texture. My hair is pretty difficult to blow dry, salons tend to flat iron it after a blow dry to smooth out the frizz. Eman was able to do it without the flat iron and it feels bouncy and most importantly, its shiny! The location is convenient, and they accomodated me with short notice. Very nice place and the workers there are very welcoming I always have the owner Lena work on my hair very sweat and understanding and sometimes doesn't even let me pay ! ( which makes me embarrissed ) if she does swomething wrong she will admit it and try to fix it for as many free visits as possible .
