This is Chicago's one and only Ravens bar! We arrived right when the game started, and there was plenty of options for seating. The menu has an excellent variety. I really enjoyed the New England Clam Chowder and George Street Wings (spicy and sweet BBQ sauce). The waitress Nicole was very sweet! The Ravens fan base here is small but mighty. My friends and I stopped into GSP to watch the Pitt football game on a Thursday night and it was a good idea. Our party of 6+ was sat right away and our bartender/server took great care of us. He kept the beers coming. My girlfriend and I split an order of nachos and wings and both were very good. The nachos came with a side of salsa that was SO good. Like best I've ever had good. We are visiting Chicago from Baltimore and wanted to watch the Ravens game. This bar was recommended. Unfortunately, our waitress, Nikol, was very dismissive and rude. She walked past us for at least 15 min before coming to this table. This was only because her co-worker, who was very nice, sent her over. She came over like it pained her to speak with us. Before we got our food we spoke to her about the not liking the drinks and she pretty much told us that we would have to take it up with the bartender which was very dismissive. We also ordered food and soda. We had to constantly hunt her down to put in additional orders, and no, it wasn't busy. She definitely didn't have an issue waiting on another table, with a huge smile on her face. Noted. After we paid our tab we were on our way out, Nikol decided to come to the table and say to us "Was there anything wrong with your food because it reflected" regarding to not receiving a tip. Our experience wasn't important to her until we didn't leave a tip. At that point, it felt less like a genuine concern and more like frustration about the tip. She said " it reflected" in a very smart tone. She is not an asset to this restaurant. I read another complaint about a female employee at this restaurant exhibiting the same behavior and I'm sure it was her. I will be complaining that on every social media page and I will discourage people from visiting the establishment. read more

I live in the neighborhood and have been going to George Street Pub for years. It's a great spot to eat outside - they have a lovely, large patio and it's my favorite place to grab a beer and a bite and people/dog watch. I wanted to leave a review specifically because I had such a great experience having dinner there yesterday. I came with my 5 year old daughter, and our server Morgan was so lovely and helpful. My daughter has a loose tooth that started bleeding at one point and she got upset. Morgan was all over it - she brought my daughter icecream and smoothed everything over. Morgan even wrapped my daughter up in a Tshirt when she mentioned she was chilly. I never expect any kind of special treatment when I dine out with my kiddo but I was so appreciative that Morgan was that kind and attentive while we were there. Thanks Morgan! read more

​George Street Pub in Lakeview is my go-to spot for chill vibes and solid eats. Last weekend, I grabbed the GSP Burger--stuffed with bacon, caramelized onions, and chorizo on a pretzel roll. Also tried the Jambalaya, which was spicy and served over sweet cornbread. Washed it all down with a couple of local craft beers, bringing the total to around $35 before tip. The staff was super friendly, and the outdoor patio is perfect for hanging out. Definitely a neighborhood gem I'll keep coming back to. read more

What a great place to spend a late summer/early fall evening! A friend had moved to the neighborhood and we decided to meet up here. I walked over, but parking looked a bit tough to find on a weekday evening, so I can only imagine the weekend chaos. The patio is large and didn't feel cramped. It's also dog friendly, so obviously I brought my dog :) she was given a water bowl as we were given our waters to start. As a beer fan, I was impressed with the wide variety of beer selection. The size of the beer was also very fair. The menu is typical bar food with some nice additions. I chose the bruschetta burger and it was really good! The waffle fries were really good. too. My friend had the fish and chips, which also looked delicious. The prices were reasonable. The staff were kind and had a good sense of humor. I'm looking forward to heading back here again. Make a new friend every time I go, plus see Ravens Flock ! Large interior has 2 sections; front is mostly Maryland expats, party room is others who watch sports. Our server barely came to our table and waited on us when we could clearly see her spending an extended amount of time either watching the cubs game or conversing with other people. Also, when all of our food came out, it was all cold and as if it was left out on the counter waiting to be picked up. We were delivered the wrong food 3 times and yet somehow our bill got charged for everything that we didnt order. After conversing with the waitress as well, she basically told us to suck it up and deal with it. Not to mention she automatically got a 20% gratuity from the system charging us. She and everyone else did not deserve anywhere near a 20% tip. Never will recommend this bar and never will come again. read more

I wasn't sure about how many stars to give GSP, but then I realized we've been here four days and have eaten there 3 times, so that kind of speaks for itself, doesn't it? The food is tasty! I've had a burger which I thoroughly enjoyed and tonight I had the filet sliders. At first glance the two sliders I got looked small until I took a bite and realized they each had nice slices of beef filet in them! Done perfectly! Yum! I also ordered the sweet potato fries, which was nice. I enjoyed the waffle fries, too, but they are much better warm! Our ladies ordered salads and said they really enjoyed them. We also ordered calamari, but have to say there wasn't a lot of calamari in the order, so that was a bit disappointing. Emily, our server, took great care of us, which we appreciate. We had 4 adults and a toddler and were regretting a 30-minute wait, but she was able to seat us early, for which we were very grateful! Anytime I pay over $15 bucks for a burger, the very least I expect is the patty to be as big as the bun! It was a shame because the flavor was great, but definitely wasted my money on eating mostly bread. The waffle fries were also over fried to the point of them being crunchier than kettle chips. Our server was super nice and chill, but I had a strange interaction with another waitress giving me major attitude over asking for a Diet Coke to go that I paid for. Two items we did not receive ended up on the bill. The food was a joke. Pub chips ... the chips were tough and chewy (arghhh!) the blue cheese dip had absolutely no flavor. Came here as a Ravens fan with a friend to watch the game on a Sunday night. The whole place was extremely clean, organized and homey as they had holiday lights up. Not a dingy sports bar in the slightest. They had three different kinds of beer for their $5 special, both got several of those. We also ordered the steak nachos that I wasn't expecting much from but the steak was loaded on it and it was juicy and tender! All the toppings you'd want. They have their own Ravens gear and I was happy to buy a cute quarter zip sweatshirt. I want to rave the most about the service. Our server was extremely friendly and excited to suggest things to us like she genuinely enjoyed where she worked. I ended up leaving my card in the bill when I left and she ran quite a ways down the street to return it to me. When I'm telling you it was quite a ways, it really was because I wasn't paying attention talking to my friend. She didn't give up and ran all the way to my car before I took off. This is a good sports bar with an interesting menu that twists the typical sports bar food on it's head a little...but at the end of the day, it's still sports bar food. We came here on a Monday night having heard great things about it and I was a little underwhelmed. The place was really loud and really hot, unfortunately AC wasn't working very well. Great neighborhood bar to grab a drink with people for a casual night. I came here a couple times with some friends and we had a good time each time we came. I've never ordered the food as I felt it was a bit pricey but my friends have ordered the wings before and said it's pretty good. This is a great bar to stop by and watch a game with people. The staff was very friendly and very flexible when I had more people pop by later in the night. They were great in checking up on us and asking if we ever needed another drink. Such a cute little pub! George street pub is the perfect location if you are looking for a low key place to grab food and drinks. They have a super cute outdoor seating area which is perfect during the summer months. Indoor seating is also super breezy as they have huge windows which they had opened. I ordered the fish and chips which was honestly one of the best I've had. The batter was super crispy and the fish was nice and moist which is what you're looking for in fried fish.
