My esthetician Sasha was truly amazing -- incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly very skilled at what she does. I was really in the mood to treat myself, and somehow Instagram seemed to read my mind because I started getting ads for facial specials. That's how I came across Alo Derma. After I reached out, they called me to confirm my appointment, asked a bunch of questions about my skin, and explained how to prepare for the facial and what to avoid beforehand. I really appreciated how thorough they were before my visit. They're located in a shopping center with plenty of parking, which made getting there easy. When I arrived, it looked like there was some renovation work happening on the floor, so there was quite a bit of plastic covering parts of the hallway. It didn't affect my appointment, though. I was greeted right away, checked in, and taken back almost immediately. My esthetician was incredibly knowledgeable, gentle, and friendly. I'd been thinking about trying dermaplaning for the longest time, so I was thrilled when she mentioned it was included in my facial. Since it was my first time, she walked me through the process, explained the benefits, answered all my questions, and made me feel completely comfortable. The entire experience felt relaxing from start to finish. At the end, they do offer a consultation, which is essentially where they recommend products or future treatments. That's usually my least favorite part of any spa visit because it can sometimes feel like a sales pitch. Thankfully, that wasn't the case here. They explained the options and made a few recommendations, but they weren't pushy at all and were completely respectful when I didn't commit to anything on the spot. **FACE CUT FROM DERMAPLANING** I tried out the $70 intro offer treatment and it was a custom treatment format. My esthetician recommended dermaplaning and I think it was Tatiana who did my treatment. She was going a bit rough while dermaplaning but I didn't think much of it. When she reached the right side of my face I felt her pull some skin up and I think that's when it got cut. It was stinging for a bit after when she applied the product and she didn't say anything after dermaplaning so I thought it was just the product. Fast forward and I see my boyfriend and he is checking my face out when he notices the cut. It is fresh still from the facial as you can see in the picture. They also take you to a room after your treatment where you are basically pressured into buying plans with the clinic through a salesperson and their sales pitch. The guy I was speaking to was Isaac. I was intrigued at first and wanted to know pricing, but after the constant pushing to just get me to buy something when I mentioned multiple times I would need to think about it first, I was pretty set on not buying anything from the clinic. This sales pitch may work other people who feel inclined to give in, but if you don't want to buy anything make sure to stand your ground! They told me they offered plans for totals of $2-3k and upward depending on what treatments they recommend and they use Affirm to splice these payments up so it doesn't seem like much. However it's still around $250 per treatment. This is a lot of money they are pressuring you to sign for right then and there. I would not trust them to do dermaplaning again and so glad I didn't fall into buying one of their plans! read more

I came across this place on Instagram, I saw a friend of mine followed them so I thought I'd give it a try. From the moment I walked in they were greeting me and asked me if I needed anything water coffee, etc. didn't even make me wait more than five minutes. I had a gentleman. I think he was a manager bring me in and tell me a little about what they do and what kind of packages they have he wasn't overly trying to sell me and actually the prices were very reasonable. I have gone to do promo facials and they try to upsell you for thousands. He was not like that.. The packages were very reasonable and such a good deal it was hard to say no , then I went in for the facial and I met this wonderful lady named Carolina, right from the gecko she was so sweet and comforting. The facial began and let me tell you, her hands were like magical she massaged my face and neck with cleanser and creams, she's very in tune with the body and she really truly cares about what she's doing. You can tell every step of the way. And it was probably about 45 minutes. It wasn't a fast one. She took her time no rush rushing. I could've stayed there for hours. I was so relaxed and comfortable. I came here because I was considering making this my new place for monthly facials. Taylor did an amazing job, and I was very happy with the facial itself. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience felt like one long, high-pressure sales pitch from beginning to end, which is why I'm deducting stars. I already have a plastic surgeon and dermatologist that I trust for cosmetic procedures, so I wasn't looking to make those decisions during my appointment. The constant pressure to purchase additional treatments took away from what would have otherwise been a relaxing experience. I was slightly nervous about going here since I heard of it through an Instagram ad and the initial calls and scheduling was a little chaotic, BUT once there, my concerns were quieted. I was seen into a room where the aesthetician, Sasha, was friendly, knowledgeable and had excellent bedside manner. I got an anti-aging facial and it consisted of extractions, derma planing, a collagen mask, microcurrent facial toning and LED. I left with supple and glowing skin. I was then taken into another room where I was informed about the diff treatments they offer with zero pressure to purchase anything. I like this place and will definitely be back! read more

Original review: This business is offering a promotion and if you scroll past a few good reviews you'll see I'm not the only person who has had a problem. They send multiple text messages from different people with different appointment times. Even if you get a confirmation text for a time you want, you show up and don't have an appointment. The service isn't actually the type or time length that is offered in the promotion. After they didn't have my appointment in the books even though multiple attempts were made to secure a time that worked, they continue text messaging me confirmation details for past dates. I did mine today with Sarah D and i absolutely LOVE LOVE her massaging techniques, especially her massaging :). She is very sweet and making sure that I am comfortable with every targeted ultrasound.
