My favorite place to go!!! ALO =) Okay, so I was supposed to leave this review months ago, but here I am. Sorry you guys. I love this location, it's always SUPER CLEAN and VERY AESTHETICALLY PLEASING and these are things I go for. Parking is tough tho, they do have a parking garage but idk I hate parking in their parking garage for some reason. So, I park across the street from the shopping center inside Safeway parking, but you guys are not supposed to do this lol. Anyways, they accept cash and card. They are always fully stocked on items at this location, I have been numerous of time and they have always had everything I needed and wanted this is a HUGE PLUS. I wish I can remember the sales associate that helped me with everything when I was just last there, I want to say her name was BRITTANY, she is literally a gem and super nice/cute. I also met their manager, TAYLOR I believe his name was and he even shook my hand, this spoke VOLUMES to me and he was EXTREMELY NICE. I have to point this out because of a lot of managers are not ever twice nice, or people friendly, let alone want to shake your hand. But he was everything and more and he seemed so well put together himself, ima skin girl girly, and remind you this is from months ago, I went and forgot to leave me review but I still remember how clear his skin was. So shoutout to him!!!! Now, I have to give only one con I sort of don't feel, when I come and I look like a bum lol and want to be in & out. I am not treated as nice or friendly by some of the "pretty girls" they turn into "mean girls" and I really dislike this, we shouldn't treat people let alone your customers a certain way because of how they look when they come in. Please do not profile us, you don't know who we are, what we are going through, and our clothes/looks does not define us as a person or how much we are going to spend in your store because how we look when we come in. But other than this, I love them. But I have to give them 4 stars just because of this. Check them out! read more

I came into Alo to do an exchange and try on a few items I was interested in, and unfortunately the customer service was really disappointing. This is the closest Alo location to me, and I've visited many times. Out of all my visits, I've only had one truly great experience - and that was back in October 2025. Most of the time, no one greets me or asks if I need assistance, which is why I end up doing about 90% of my shopping online and only come in-store for returns or exchanges. During this visit, I was quickly browsing and trying things on when a tag must have come off one of the items. I was in a bit of a rush, but I'm always intentional about what I select. The associate working the fitting room never introduced herself and made me feel uncomfortable, as if I was being treated with suspicion rather than as a customer. I'm not sure if the reaction was due to my race, the tag, or something else, but the interaction felt unwelcoming and unprofessional. As someone who shops the brand regularly and is part of their "All Access" rewards program - and even gets invited in for personal shopping - this experience was disappointing. I'll likely stick to online shopping moving forward. Alo, there's definitely an opportunity here to better train staff on customer service and how to treat loyal customers. read more

I'm sorry to say that the clothes are nothing special, except as a status symbol. I've had better quality and comfortable althleisure clothing. But what you're paying for here is an exclusive top of the line customer service. From the moment I walked in, they asked me how they could assist me. I received a set from Christmas so I was looking for a different size and other alternative styles. I had over 10 pieces to try on. They set me up in a room. Very friendly and attentive. I had to get other sizes myself when they were busy. Not a big deal. During another day I visited, they were able to get the sizes for me. This is how retail works. I stopped by to buy couple sets for my boys and not once did any of the employees offer to help. There were several employees and the store was not busy yet. My 17-year-old son visited this store over the weekend with three of his friends (ages 15, 16, and 17). Unfortunately, their experience was extremely disappointing and upsetting. The boys felt they were racially profiled while shopping. These are respectful teenagers and USA-certified athletes who love sports and athletic brands, so you would think an athletic wear company would welcome young athletes who genuinely support and wear the brand. What made the situation worse was the response from the store manager. When another mom called the store to address what had happened, the manager was apparently unaware that her son was still inside the store. After getting off the phone, the manager laughed about the call as if the situation was a joke. That response was incredibly disrespectful and only reinforced the feeling that their concerns were not taken seriously. Racism and racial profiling are never acceptable. As a parent, it's extremely upsetting to know my son and his friends were made to feel uncomfortable and judged while simply trying to shop. It's even more frustrating considering my son still spent over $300 in this store. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and works to ensure that all customers especially young people are treated with respect and fairness. read more

I adore this location, everyone is kind and welcoming unlike other athleisure stores / Alo locations I've been to. They had what I wanted in stock. I've looked around different stores from Hawai'i to CA & I finally got what I wanted. The employees acted fast on sizing me up, getting the fitting room, customer service definitely efficient. I think everyone I've encountered had great personality. I like the material on a lot of their clothes. I'm new to Alo and their designs are really sleek which I like. Terrible quality! Terrible! Sweatpant material started to pile after the first wash and only got worse after each use. What crap. Literally what you'd expect from a bottom barrel Chinese factory who fools people with marketing tactics. Be warned! For comparison, the sweatpants we got from Uniqlo a couple years ago has never piled or came apart and has maintained respectable and great condition to this day. And was much more affordable. Walked into the store for the first time to exchange size for a bday gift. I had the gift receipt with me but it was chewed up from my puppy. The sales associate refused to exchange the size despite all tags in tact and requested the email and phone number of the individual who purchased it for me. I stated I didn't have my phone on me and had left it in the car. She told me there was nothing I could do. I then had to walk all the way back to my car, grab my phone and come back to the store I then provided the details she requested but they still could not confirm the purchase. She then told me there was nothing she could do. I asked for the manager and she stated she was the manager sadly. I had to call my friend from the store who bought the item and tell her what was going on. It turned out her assistant made the purchase on my behalf and the order was under her number. The store manager was finally able to locate the order. What an ordeal. Never again will I step foot in that store. What if I didn't want to disturb my friend and let her know that I was exchanging it? Maybe I wanted to return the item? When I suggested to the manager that she share feedback to corporate about this experience her response was: well we've always done it this way!! What a thoughtless response. Take ownership, do what's right and make the customer feel good so they come back . read more

You're going in to over-spend on average-quality athleisure - you'd think they would have top notch customer service to keep you spending but that's just not the case. Alo Yoga always impresses with their quality and style. The fabrics are buttery soft yet durable, and everything fits so well it feels like a second skin. Their designs are minimal but elevated, making them perfect for both workouts and everyday wear. Pricey, but the comfort and longevity make it worth it. read more

Was gifted leggings (I think around $130) and followed care instructions- but the fabric didnt hold up at all. I wore them once or twice before quality was compromised. The clothes look great and would make sense at a lower price point since they do not last- but even then thats reckless/not sustainable. I went to get a refund since the fabric fell apart so fast but was told the massive tags (imagine a CVS receipt) were removed so it cannot be returned or exchanged. $130 to wear something out twice. I'd been wanting to try alo for a long time because the clothes do look nice, but sadly thats all. Hopefully this company considers using quality, lasting fabrics.! read more

This is my new favorite store for athleisure wear, even better than other brands. I've shopped here at least 5 times in the past few months that I've collected many of the Alo totes. Service is always great. Dressing rooms are clean. Clothes are well organized and appealing. Love the neutral tones and of course the grey and black colored staple items. I bought their white tennis shoes. The look JUST like AF1 and wide with lots of cushion to walk around in and even play tennis in. I just wish they carried non pleated tennis skirts. read more

The service here isn't the most attentive, but that's just how I like it. I prefer just perusing the racks without being bothered. When I finally went up to purchase some goods, the staff was more than friendly with me, chopping it up, and answering all of my questions politely, even though I am anything but their perceived "target demographic" (based on other reviews). As for the clothing itself, Alo certainly has more outlandish styles than their competitors (starting with L and V), and some of the designs are hit and miss, but I do appreciate them thinking outside of the box. Not everything fits me well, but as long as the basics do, that's all that matters. I've got a few items in my wardrobe already, and definitely plan to expand with more in the near future! read more

Customer service does not seem to exist at this Alo store in Walnut Creek. There were 5-6 staffs standing behind the cash register busy talking to each other. Nobody cared to make an eye contact with customers in line to acknowledge their presences or even thank you for their patience. No smile no greeting. No thank you for purchase. At Lulu or Vuori, their staffs are smiling or at least made an effort to make their customers feel welcome & appreciated. read more

I'm writing this review because Alo doesn't seem to have an easy to find NPS survey on their website. Alo has such inconsistent customer service, but my review has to do with common sense retail returns. At Broadway plaza, we were doing a simple exchange from a christmas gift that WE purchased for a family member. They didn't have the size, so the associate offered to help us order which we appreciated. However, instead of refunding it to the original payment method, she insisted putting the return on a gift card. Fast forward, Alo canceled the order without explanation. It's fine, the holiday surge just ended. BUT... she never gave us the gift card. We probably bare some responsibility not getting the refund originally, but don't insist your customers to put money on a gift card AND THEN not give them the gift card just in case the order doesn't get fulfilled. We called into the customer service line and after much back and forth in explaining the situation, we ultimately were able to get it refunded. I'm hoping this feedback makes its way to the team so this doesn't happen to other customers. read more

Terrible customer service. They are always out of something. I've stopped in for gift cards and they would all out of physical gift cards. I stopped in for my birthday freebie (not really bc you have to make a purchase to receive the bday gift) and they were "all out" it's ridiculous how much they charge for their pieces. Big price tag comes with very little help. Customer service sucks. The pieces are very low quality. You would think with the options we have nowadays they would train their staff to be more friendly and helpful. Take your money and spend it elsewhere! Aritzia or lululemon. Both of those are better quality and customer service can be a hit or miss but ALO is always a miss for me. Their return/exchange policy is also the worst but It's my fault for always coming back but I am officially done with this brand. read more

I came here after SoulCycle to buy my husband a few items and no one greeted me nor asked if I needed help. The two girls at the counter were also not very friendly as I waited 15 minutes to purchase my items while they had issues with the people in front of me. No apologies, "just did you find everything alright?" Not even a hello... I don't think I will be coming back to this store as the clothes were also dirty sitting on the shelf or racks. I love everything about this ALO store in Walnut Creek (my hometown) and it makes me so happy although I NEVER provide my email or phone number for them, since I dislike spam also you never know who is listening to you I do NOT like to disclose my information. Back to what I was saying, the experience at this location is amazing and honestly much better than the one in Roseville. I had such an appalling experience and what I witnessed in Roseville was terrible. I have never in my 49 years of living seen a store MANAGER scold their own employee in front of OTHER employees and worst of all in front of customers at a busy time like how I seen at roseville. The lady with curly hair and colored contacts should be ashamed of herself and needs to take notes from the Walnut Creek location's manager, the store manager at Walnut Creek DOES NOT ACT LIKE THAT. I will be contacting corporate on Monday when they are open to give them a call and let them know the Roseville manager's behavior towards her own staff, is truly disgusting. I usually have a very good experience at the Alo here at broadway plaza but today was the WORST experience I've ever had in customer service. I like to take my time, meander, and look through my selections thoroughly. I felt personally attacked by this younger white woman who was following me around the store the entire time I was there, eyeing me and it was extremely uncomfortable. It was clear to me that she thought I was going to steal based off of how I look. Coming up to me multiple times with a condescending tone.
