I recently stayed at Aloft Austin Airport and experienced an issue during checkout that is completely out of order . My late checkout was scheduled for 4:00 p.m., and I checked out approximately 15-20 minutes late. While speaking with the Front Office Manager, Gabby, about missing breakfast and asking about an alternative option, she snatched the breakfast coupon out of my hand and ended the conversation abruptly in a dismissive tone. Speaking to me while her head was down and making gestures as if I was a staff member. After giving them another shot for an additional stay, housekeeping staff were positioned outside my room around checkout time, holding conversations within earshot, which created the impression they were waiting for me to exit at exactly 4:00 p.m. Afterward, I spoke with other frequent guests who shared similar experiences and described a pattern of poor customer service, lack of hospitality, and unprofessional behavior associated with this individual. I have since contacted the General Manager regarding this matter and am currently awaiting a response. read more

My husband and I had a great stay at Aloft next to the Austin airport - very convenient shuttle that saved us time and let us sleep in. We were informed we were pretty lucky to get a room as the entire hotel was booked, she said nascar was in town? We didn't pay much mind to it but it actually proved to be terrible - people were talking, laughing, and making a ruckus in the hallway at all hours. We fully anticipated airplane congestion and noise but thought people would be a bit more respectful. I was annoyed as I had to be up by 330a to get ready and catch a 6am flight - hence staying at the airport hotel nearby. Other than that, it was really clean, modern, LOVED the dry bar shampoo and conditioner! The gym was also really nice sized with a decent rack and equipment, my husband was pretty happy! read more

This is a decent format for a hotel ... the staff is very average They were helpful getting us a shuttle from the airport... even though they didn't have one, but it is promoted as an airport hotel WITH A SHUTTLE No one was at the front desk when we arrived someone finally showed up No familiar greeting for Marriott members, we had to request points and extras... Paper thin walls, you can easily hear loud talkers in adjacent rooms. The breakfast is good,no dinner only bar snacks and quick eats. The bar is alright, not a great selection of anything, the dude behind on my visit was one of the folk that subscribes to more liquor the better in making drinks. So, not a really enjoyable old fashioned for me. Place is clean enough and convenient to Austin proper. Con is that there really isn't any food choices in walking distance or within a 2 mile drive. Room cleaning is very good. New building. Room layout is awesome, with electric shades and a nice quiet HVAC unit with wall thermostat. The Roomba also has a very cool Marshall Bluetooth speaker to hook up to your phone. Wall TV mounted nice and clean w/o wires visible Gym, pool table, bar, snacks (pricey), microwave in lobby. My only gripe is highway noise is very loud and persists 24/7. Bring some ear plugs or something that can muffle. I would stay again. read more

PROS: Fairly new, close to the airport, food and beverage on site, complimentary shuttle to return you to the airport in the morning. CONS: No shuttle TO the hotel In the evenings. The hotel says they can't find enough people, so you have to take a taxi, which cost me $34.50 with tip. The rooms, while clean and fresh, have a contemporary design with tile or vinyl floors but no carpet, making them quite "live" acoustically. Every belch, fart, burp, or sneeze echoes through the room, often waking people up. The small bar has a decent collection of bar snacks, but the night I was there the bartender seemed a little bit overwhelmed by the fairly small group she was taking care of. The two food items I ordered, at separate times, were both starting to get cold by the time they were brought out to me. All in all, it's not a BAD place to stay for a night (and beat sleeping in the airport) but there are better options out there. read more

Our room was /is filthy . Blood on the sheets, blood on the floor ... We called the front desk to tell them and they asked us to leave the room so room service could come clean , which was pretty inconvenient. We came back 2 hours later and still found an eye lash in the sheets and the blood was still on the floor I really wanted to book with this hotel because they allowed dogs and didn't charge any additional fees but they ended up sticking us in a section of the hotel where I guess only guests with dogs were allowed to stay . The smell hits you right when you walk in . They could definitely use some sort of air freshener in the halls and rooms . Check in was easy & the person at the desk was really nice . The room is cute, its updated, great bathroom area and the AC works but there's no in-between its either hot or cold. I'm okay with It being cold though so I didn't mind. However, I really feel like the hotel could've been better because I've stayed in other Aloft hotels so I know what to expect. We had to get more towels but I guess because we checked in later in the evening housekeeping was gone for the day. So we ended up having to go to the front desk to get them, which is fine but the wait was a bit long. They have a pool, I didn't get to try it out but if you're interested in it it didn't look to shabby. read more

When we first got there we had great service from the beginning, the room was very clean it was very big and it did not disappoint. I had requested a shuttle to pick us up at exactly 7:30 in the morning, but once we got downstairs I was greeted by someone who didn't really know what was going on. She did not look like she was a part of the hotel as she was in a pull over sweatshirt, and I mentioned to her that I had a shuttle request she said that unfortunately her shuttle was not available. I asked her why not and what were we going to do? She said that they can get me a Lyft to the airport. Which I wish she had said it first, but she was not sure how long it would take for the lyft to get there. When you were going to A airport of course you want to make sure everything goes smoothly. She was not able to Assist me aside from telling me that she got me the left and luckily it all worked out. read more

Normal movements of a morning,, nothing out of the ordinary...footsteps, water running, toilet flushing, sneeze, Stugatz speaking, clear as though he was sitting next to me, from someone listening to the Dan LeBatard show next door... I get that it's a loft-style building, but jeeeez... I didn't expect it to sound like I was sharing a room with a cruddy sibling who's inconsiderate of the fact that I'm trying to effing sleep! I've had to stay here a couple times for business trips. First trip was good, 2nd trip declined, and now on my 3rd stay, I probably won't be booking here again. The good: comfy beds, especially the pillows. Bar/restaurant opens at 5pm and has nice selection of drinks and a small menu with some fairly good options, such as the brisket tacos. Free billiards table (junior size I think but still fun) and a nice lounge area. The room TVs are nice and big and you get multiple premium movie channels. Very close to airport, like 10 minutes to and from. The bad: loudest hotel on planet earth. Paper thin walls, you can hear a normal volume conversation word for word from every adjacent room, even from the rooms across the hall! Even the toilets are loud, you hear them flushing non-stop from above and below, you can hear people moving their COAT HANGERS in the next room. They are metal coat hangers, you'd think in a loud hotel like this, they'd buy a bunch of plastic ones to cut down on massive metal clashing noises. Note: you only get 4 or 5 coat hangers... There are random loud bangs coming from every direction at all hours of the night and day, doors are slamming shut, people are stomping down the hallways. A nice drunk couple came in a couple nights ago at 1am and proceeded to have sex for 2 hours straight and I could hear it all, I mean, ALL OF IT. My AC broke after turning it off for a few hours, now the compressor doesn't kick on anymore. What else....oh the roomkeepers, they bang on your door, they don't knock, they bang. They were just vacuuming a room upstairs and it sounded like they were in MY room. This hotel is just one massive echo chamber with amplifiers built into the walls and ceilings. Oh, and the TVs are stuck with the smooth/true motion setting to full so everything looks like a cheesy soap opera and you can't change it so that kind of sucks. It ruins any movie you may be watching. If it weren't for how insanely loud this place is, I would love it, but the noise levels are beyond anything remotely reasonable. It's almost like it should be illegal to have a hotel make this much noise. read more

Five Stars for Kelly at the bar! Hotel room is small and spare. I'm not sure I'd book another Aloft room on purpose. Got stuck here after flight cancelled. Me along with hundreds of others. We all descended on the tiny bar with some limited food choices. As busy as she was, Kelly kept smiling and plugging along treating everyone as if they were old friends and we were guests in her home. Her graciousness was overwhelming even as busy as it was. This place was a hot mess. While staff for pleasant and friendly they appeared untrained and were working on a sinking ship. Rooms, not designated for dogs smelled like wet dogs. Fixtures had bent plugs, rooms appeared as if they were no cleaned. Didn't appeared vacuum and counters were not wiped down. I stopped loving so I could get sleep without being grossed out. Didn't even have an iron in the room. Front desk was not able to help as there was no iron to be had in the entire hotel. Yup. I've stay in tents with better appeal. read more

We chose this hotel for its easy access from the airport. Glad we did. Called for the shuttle and told it wasn't running due to the weather- a drizzle at that point. No other suggestion. We caught a Lyft. Check-in was easy and were given a nice room with plenty of space. Comfy bed. We checked out in the morning and asked about the shuttle back to the airport to go rent a car. Still no shuttle but the desk agent quickly offered a comped Lyft ride. Not sure why that wasn't offered the night before. Overall a very nice stay and we will check out other locations in the future. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I Just had the WORST experience ever in my life here Aloft Hotels. I checked into a room this Saturday evening to celebrate my boyfriends 25th birthday with a little staycation. We leave our hotel room for not even 2 full hours and come back to our room with more than half of our PERSONAL BELONGINGS STOLEN FROM OUR LOCKED HOTEL ROOM. No, no one else had access to my room other than my boyfriend and I who were together to entire evening. After realizing all of our stuff is stolen, we go down to the lobby to talk to the front desk agent to figure out what's going on. From the moment he opened his mouth he was the most DISRESPECTFUL person I have ever had to deal with. Upon letting him know most of our stuff got stolen I was cussed out, insulated, called a "stupid dumb bitch" because I asked if he would please review any security camera to see who may have accessed our room without our permission/while we were not present. This front desk agent became extremely aggressive and very defensive because I asked him to figure out what happened while we were gone for less than 2 hours., which is very odd coming from someone who claims they have "nothing to do with it". We called the cops but after they offered to make a theft report, the guilty front desk agent kicked us out of our room we paid $200 and got our stuff stolen out of. I seriously cannot believe this is happening, and especially on my boyfriends birthday. He got his nice expensive personal things stolen including a birthday gift, as well as me including my clothes, shoes, and even my medicine. This is beyond unacceptable and I will be reposting this on every social media platform to get my story out. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT EVER STAY AT ANY ALOFT Hotel property if you want your personal items stolen with no care. I will be waiting for a response from corporate or any type of supervisor. This is the man who was extremely rude to me and insulted me from head to toe. Note; this occurred at the Aloft Hotel Austin Airport location at 8000 E. Ben white blvd. got kicked out of the hotel by a thief who works the front desk. The cops were called and they are filing a report. This hotel has staff training issues. So unwelcoming. The short woman at the front desk is rude, passive aggressive and has no idea what customer service means. The staff is under informed about policies and gives different direction causing us to arrange our own transportation to airport almost missing our flights. The woman was clearly talking about us glaring at our young daughter making us all feel very uncomfortable. I communicated to her that we arrange our own ride after they told us we couldn't ride the shuttle and that they did a fine job at making us feel super uncomfortable and she smiles at and says thank you. This was our first time flying into the Austin airport, and we arrived on a Wednesday night around 8:30pm. We called the hotel to tell them we arrived and needed the shuttle. They just said go stand between Delta and Spirit. We never could figure out where they were going to pick us up, so on the 3rd call, a guy named "Mo" answered. I told him the vague directions weren't clear and asked for a specific door of the airport that they picked up from...(all the exterior doors are marked with a letter and number). At this point. I had had it, and told him he needed to give better directions. His next statement was that he just came on duty and didn't want to deal with this, and asked if I just wanted to cancel my reservation and go somewhere else, because he'd be happy to do it. what kind of customer service is that??? At that point it was evident he didn't intend on doing anything. I just hung up. What crappy service this place has. We finally arrived at the hotel and he had a couple of people that knew him just loitering in the lobby. Now I see why he wasn't Interested in doing his job. We were cutting into his hang-out time with his bro's. We won't be coming back here again. Does the owner know he's quick to cancel reservations and run customers off to other properties? read more
