This hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the Miami hotel. They offer complimentary uber rides from and to the airport which was a wonderful amenity. You have to call them 1st, don't just wait for a shuttle at the airport. The hotel is brand new so no worries about bad smells, old creepy looking lobbies, things not working.... It was clean and quiet. I booked online with Priceline for an overnight stay before my cruise. It was $120 and easy to book, check in and check out. Hotel staff was pleasant to deal with and answered any questions I had. In the morning I got in a quick gym session located by the lobby on the 1st floor. It's small, has a few cardio machines, one bench, one weight machine, one bench, and a rack or weights - light to very heavy... They also have towels, mats and wet wipes. The floor was hard as heck so definitely use a mat. I grabbed breakfast on my way up to my room. It's not complimentary, you have to pay for it. I would definitely come back here and I highly recommend this place to anyone in Miami needing a nice place to stay while waiting. On a flight or a cruise. It's a 20 minutes drive to the cruise port. It's on a busy street but not necessarily a street you want to be casually walking down. There's nothing to see around here. There's a pollo chicken place next door which was good. The rooms are spacious. The beds are super comfortable. Don't worry about brining shampoo or conditioner. The ones provided are of good quality and not your average hotel soap situation. The staff was short so they would not deliver fresh towels to the room upon request. The next day, staff brought towels to the room, and they weren't enthusiastic about the walk to hand deliver. I was contacted via email only hours before my scheduled arrival with a directive that my reservation would be canceled if payment was not made immediately. Fortunately, I had not yet departed and was able to review the message in time. Had I been in transit, this action would have resulted in an unwarranted cancellation despite my adherence to the stated reservation terms. My attempt to respond to the email further exposed operational deficiencies. Multiple recipients listed on the correspondence generated bounce back messages indicating that their mailboxes were full and unable to receive communications. When I contacted Danielle, the originator of the message, I was met with a dismissive tone and clear amusement at my frustration. She remained insistent that I provide my credit card information through unsecured means, either verbally over the phone or via email to a distribution list that was demonstrably unreliable and improperly maintained. In parallel, I reviewed comparable rates at nearby properties including this Aloft location, and observed that pricing had increased by at least $150 per night. This sequence of events raises serious concerns regarding the integrity of the booking process and presents as a bait and switch scenario compounded by unprofessional conduct from hotel leadership. I have never previously felt compelled to leave a public review on platforms such as Yelp. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and airy with gigantic size! They have group discount, AAA discount if you book a room on line . Everything is good here except the lobby area needed a window wash, elevator, furnitures also needed a good clean to make it a pleasant stay for customers. read more

Lobby is deceiving because the original view goes beyond what you see. Check-in desk is round and right off the food service area. On the day we went, the power went out prior to us arriving. We were notified of the power outage as we arrived. We were given a couple of drinks from the refrigerator for the inconvenience of the power outage. My husband and I came from a wonderful cruise on the Icon of the Seas. We had a late flight to Charlotte (9pm), so we opted to rent a room instead of seating at the airport. The room was nicely decorated. My only issue is not having the sink inside the actual bathroom, otherwise, it was good. The room was spacious and bright. The power came on shortly after getting in the room. We had water bottles in the room too. I had an opportunity to get a better view of the lobby and the extension including the outdoors, and it was really lovely. The decor is industrial design, and nicely designed. There's no shuttle service, but they provide a ride share service to and from the airport. FYI: I recently learned about the day rate, so it's an option for those who may need a place from 10-6 or whatever the hours might be. Prime location for a great hotel! Lots of food options around and next to the hotel. The hotel was clean and orderly. Parking was plenty in my opinion. The hotel staff were friendly and answered my questions. I wonderful positive is that I was able to check in early to my room. Normal check in was 3 and I was able to check in at noon! Parking was super simple through an app. My room was huge... mostly the hall lol. We had a lot of natural light that came in. The bathroom was spacious. The do have the mini fridge in the bathroom under the sink. I hate that. Eating quarters/items should be separate from the bathroom, in my opinion. Overall though, very decent hotel! Disappointing Experience - Poor Communication and Unprofessional Staff, but Kudos to Marriott Bonvoy This was a last-minute trip, and unfortunately, I didn't do my homework on this hotel. The experience was a disaster from the start. While traveling, my card was stolen, and I received a text while boarding my flight demanding new payment details. I called immediately and was told to either text my card information (a major security risk) or read it aloud while in line to board. I confirmed my reservation was still intact and was assured I had until noon to update the payment. However, before takeoff, I received another text stating my reservation had been canceled. Upon landing, I went to check in, only to be told by Karen--the same person I had spoken with earlier--that the hotel was now sold out. The so-called manager, Nastor, had no concern for the situation and simply stated that, as a franchise, they make their own rules. The lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer service was shocking. Thankfully, Marriott Bonvoy's member support team came to the rescue. When I reached out, they quickly found me a room at a better-rated hotel nearby. They even went above and beyond by giving me extra reward points and a free night stay for the unbelievable trouble. Huge appreciation for their excellent customer service--it made all the difference in salvaging this trip. read more

It did its job but at what cost. Staying here for the weekend for a wedding taking place 15 mins away. This place is fine for your average hotel close to the airport. My biggest complaints are as follows. 1) The AC in our room, our rooms phone, and several outlets did not work. 2) the air was so dry in our room. I'd drink 2 bottles of water in the middle of the night and I STILL felt dehydrated and my mouth was still as dry as the Sahara. Aloft is a great hotel in Coral Gables that you should consider staying at when in town. Rooms were clean and adequately stocked with towels and soaps. The location is a street away from downtown coral gables. Bonus: there's a Publix across the street! There's a nice pool that gets lots of sun during the day. The only knock I have is that the bar is only open for a couple hours and they aren't defined very well with signage. read more

Well not only did the have all the above, but its a very nice hotel with great customer service, food, bar, pool, pool table, games to borrow, computers for use and the rooms are large and airy!!! There concept is comfy and easy for the visitor. They have exceeded all expectations!!! Free coffee in the AM, no free breakfast so I gave then a 4* rating. Aloft is an industrial looking and decorated hotel, near the airport. This hotel has a pool, gym, bar and a pay by the item breakfast bar. The rooms are large and very quiet. Each room has tall elevated ceilings. Everything seems to be separated by concrete, which makes this place very quiet. It has a shared parking lot with food options. My single-night stay at the Aloft Miami Airport was the start to my recent Miami/Tampa-vacation... I'm not sure the experience impacted me enough either way to in regards to choosing an Aloft location again in the future (or stay away from it), but it was a comfortable enough hotel for a single night. I was perhaps a bit put off early on during my stay. After check-in, which was somewhat slow, I wandered over to the airport and was joined in waiting for the elevator by a guy who clearly had had way too much to drink. His girlfriend wandered over slowly as well. Once the elevator opened though, it closed on her even though I had pressed the button to keep the elevator open. She had been enjoying a bit too much to drink as well. A bit of a mess, for sure. The staff person who helped with my check-in had mentioned they upgraded my room, but upon entering the room I wasn't exactly sure what that upgrade included. I still had the pool view (as opposed to just a view of the highway) that I had requested. Maybe the room was longer? I have no idea. My room cost was $94.91 for the single overnight stay, which I had prepaid (for what it's worth, they do also require the typical $50 deposit on your credit card upon arrival). As far as airport hotels go, it was certainly clean enough and comfortable... and they try for the modern, playful ambience. There's a Starbucks next door, and the hotel is in a decent enough location. It's not like you're seeing palm trees and other typical Miami-esque views... it's an airport hotel, after all... not a luxury location. TL;DR Nice enough experience, though it won't make me gravitate towards Aloft hotels in the future or anything. Not sure what was really my "upgrade" during the stay, as the room looked as I expected it to based on what I prepaid for. The hotel is very cute and fun. It is clean and has bright pops of color everywhere. It decorations give it a youthful industry vibe. They offer breakfast starting at 7am and snacks to buy in the lobby. The only thing I would say is there isn't enough lighting on the outside of the building in the parking lot, it's almost easy to miss. The lighting in the rooms aren't the best either. Otherwise, the rooms are very spacious, I had a corner room. There is no microwave in the rooms, but it does offer a safe for your belongings, a small refrigerator, an ironing board, and coffee maker. read more

3 1/2 stars I made a reservation here based on their "dog friendly" policy. The only details included on Expedia was dogs had to weigh less than 40 lbs and limit of 2 per room. No extra fee. Sweet!! I checked in (which was a breeze) and filled out the pet form with breed info, etc and they point out that our pets can't be left unattended at any time (not even if they're kept in their crates). Not sweet!! =/ We love our fur babies but they're not allowed everywhere we wanted to go. Luckily we had planned our itinerary around taking them with us to most places, but there were a few places that we had to modify our itinerary based on the dog policy. The rooms were nice with a modern decor. Only issue was the shower door didn't keep water out but it dried up the next day so no biggie. Parking was free and there were a good amount of amenities. There is a Pollo Tropical, Starbucks, and Chipotle within walking distance. While it's close to the airport, the noise wasn't an issue. We were within a 1/2 drive to Miami beach and Homestead. If you have pets, I wouldn't recommend Aloft, unless you don't have a problem taking them everywhere. Eventhough hotel is nice, I don't see myself staying at another Aloft hotel based on their not so friendly dog policy. read more

They had strict covid protocols in place which meant nothing was open - even had to use a card key to enter the building, which was annoying when my hands were full. I only give them 4 stars because we did not have a chance to experience all they have to offer because of Covid19. I made our reservation here through Hotels.com and got what I felt was a reasonable price. We found this location very easily and they have ample parking. There is a lot in the area to access which was nice. Upon arriving we were happy to find a Starbucks and Chipotle on none side and a Pollo Tropical on the other. One entering we were greeted by friendly staff with a pleasant atmosphere. They informed us that the restaurant was closed but there would be breakfast in the morning. The whole place has a modern industrial feel which we truly enjoyed. The rooms were fair sized and very comfortable. Everyone we met was very friendly but cautious of contact. If we had more time I would checked out the games they have to loan and the pool table. They also have a good sized pool and deck area. The views were nice and we felt safe and comfortable staying here. When we come down for future appointments I would feel very happy to stay here. read more

I used a day pass at the hotel, during a travel layover, and had the best experience. I arrived 30 minutes before my reservation and was willing to wait but was greeted kindly and given a room right away. The front desk was friendly and helpful and my check in was quick. My room was clean, had all the amenities described, and was perfect for the 6.5 hours I spent there. I also used the pool, which was clean and easy to access. There's plenty of food options nearby and they also have quick food options. When checking out, the checkout process was quick and easy. One of the best parts of staying there was having them secure an uber ride to the airport for me, since they do not have a shuttle service. Little things like that are genuinely appreciated and I plan to stay there again when I return to Miami. Overall, I had a great experience and will be a return customer. read more

I had an email with confirmation number. I received a welcome email the day before. I checked in on the Bonvoy app at 9am that morning... and yet, when I arrived they did not have my 3 rooms available. We ended up driving all over town at midnight trying to find rooms. UPDATE: received my monthly credit card statement and a full week after the incident described above my card was charged $130. Reported it to the manager and she replied that a credit had been issued to fix what she referred to as "another system glitch", but it's been a WEEK and I don't see a credit as either processed or pending on the online portal for my bank (which shows transactions within seconds of them processing). The only response I've been able to get from the manager is that "she sees the credit" in her system (which she acknowledges has already been glitchy multiple times). Apparently there is nothing else she can do. I've opened a case with the Better Business Bureau, but in the meantime, I'm out $130 dollars Crazy. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world and never experienced anything like this. I'm not sure how a hotel could more fundamentally fail than this. And to add insult to injury, I emailed both the General Manager and Assistant Manager and as of NOON the next day haven't received a response from either. They don't appear to even care. It's just unbelievable. Total deal-breaker. Will NEVER stay here again. May never stay at any Marriott property again. read more

Bathroom also clean and I love the vibrant colors used to accent the hotel. It felt so much at home that I forgot I was in a hotel. The staff is friendly and we were able to check in early for a fee of $50. There are a lot of food chains nearby to choose from which is nice. The elevator is super sketchy and the floor our room was on smelled like barf and old water. Our room was large and had a nice window. However, we could see drug dealers from said window in the bark parking lot. There were blood stains on the carpet, tagging on the wall (the walls were concrete), and the drains smelled in the bathroom. The shower leaked a bunch of water and wasn't well cleaned. read more

This hotel is definitely representing the Aloft brand very well. Check in was quick and easy -- not to mention the staff fell in love with my puppy. I love Aloft hotels for that reason - they are super dog friendly. There's no extra fee for having pets under 40lbs and all you have to do upon check in is fill out a waiver basically stating you will clean up after your dog. (Which should be common sense for people but I guess it isn't.) The room was super modern and extremely clean. The parking is free at this location . There is a Pollo Tropical, Starbucks, and Chipotle like 50 feet from the door and multiple gas stations and other food places either across the street or close by. This one was close enough to the airport but not loud like you'd expect being that it's sooo close to the airport. There's restaurants and stores close by. It appears that this hotel ran out of money during construction. If they're considering the gaudy unfinished cement walls found in the guest rooms and outside of the elevators to be stylish, they have miserably failed. It looks cheap and tacky. I didn't find the front desk staff to be welcoming or attentive. I called to advise them that I was having a problem with the lighting. No one ever came. When we went to leave out hours later, I mentioned it to the new Hotel Desk Clerk. I assume the lady who checked us in had left for the day. The Desk Clerk appeared to have been unaware of my previous request. When we returned a few hours later, the problem had thankfully been resolved. The shower leaked and the pillows were entirely too soft. Had to fold them in half in order to sleep comfortably. The toilet seat was thin, flimsy and extremely low to the ground. You'll feel like you're doing a very low squat as you lift yourself back up to a standing position. Thankfully there's a Starbucks and a Dunkin Donuts in walking distance because they do not offer breakfast. No room service, although the towels were changed out while we were gone. I do not recommend using this hotel to park your vehicle for an extended period of time. As I found out the hard way by my catalytic converter what's stolen from my vehicle. The hotel does not provide any security cameras or roving security of its facility. The only security cameras that are available are in the front of the building. How convenient for thieves. It's very Clubby in the lobby with loud music playing but they have a really cool bar and seating area as well as just great details that make Aloft hotels set apart from the others. The thing I like the most about the place was at the room had vaulted ceilings. Like warehouse-style vaulted ceilings. They really gave some extra shape to the room. Overall everything was designed really well and it was a fun place to stay overnight. Very insulated from the planes landing at the airport nearby the great views out the window.
