Mr Hilton, it didn't include breakfast and I even had to physically pull the coffee pot out from another drawer. I shouldn't have done it anyway. Mr Hilton, this coffee pot couldn't have cost you more than 10 dollars. We threw the coffee away. Mr Hilton, I'm sending you a picture of the dirtiest sofa I've ever seen in a hotel room. We were fortunate to get a room here after flights were canceled at MIA due to weather. We didn't get to stay long enough to enjoy all the amenities. However, it was a very clean and comfortable room. It gave us the opportunity to catch up on much needed sleep before heading out to the airport during the morning commute. The rooms are showing their age, but again... it was very clean. I'd normally give this type of accommodation a 4 star review. It was the great service that earns an extra star. Especially for holding our room and allowing late check-in after midnight. The elevators use a touchscreen system that's very similar to one at Disney's Gran Destino Tower. There's a security guard at ground level who was so friendly and sweet when assisting us in taking the automated elevator up to the lobby. The check-in process and night staff are all super professional & courteous. We would definitely book here again if ever in the same situation. read more

We chose this hotel for our trip back down to SoFL for the Winter Classic game. It was not super close to the venue but it appeared to better fit what we wanted. We arrived around 8pm and it was busy with traffic coming in and also leaving the hotel. Valet took a little long but they were busy. I went in separate than my husband, while he took care of the car. Upon entering, I was greeted by very friendly and enthusiastic staff, who escorted me to the elevator. They were probably my favorite encounter at this hotel. Once I reached the lobby, I then had to take another elevator, further away from the reception desk. I finally made it up to the room and was pleased with the room. It was spacious enough, with floor to ceiling windows. There was also a refrigerator, which is always a plus for me so I can store my insulin. The bathroom was tiny but sufficient. We went downstairs to use our credit at the bar. We later attempted to order a drink I guess after they closed and were shot down. I had to purchase flip flops due to hubs taking mine out of the suitcase before we left home. Whoever was working at the gift shop was just as good as a mannequin. She was on her phone and didn't say 1 word to me. We slept okay throughout the night but the air conditioning was not cold enough. The views were great from the windows but then I noticed a previous guest's dirty socks still sitting next to the window. I guess that means housekeeping didn't vacuum in between guests. We ordered room service for breakfast to use our credits because we did not want a repeat of the previous night at the bar. The food was good and was hot when delivered. Obtaining ride share was pretty easy and when checking out, valet delivered our car pretty quickly. read more

SCW and I stayed at the Hilton Miami Downtown for a little getaway, and I needed to renew my passport (the US passport agency is right around the corner from the hotel). When we arrived a valet attendant took our car after we unloaded and gave us the card to retrieve the car. Once inside the bottom lobby you'll need to take the elevator up to check in. Check in was quick (you can also check in on your phone if you wish). I tried online check in, however the specific room chosen wasn't ready yet despite checking in after the check in time. The person at the front desk had no trouble getting us checked into the same type of room just different floor. The room itself was spacious and clean. We had windows on two sides of the corner room with a good view of the cruise ship terminal in Miami. The bed was comfortable and the shades did a good job of blocking out the light which I always appreciate. The room was quiet as well, but the hotel seemed lower occupancy that day. The gym was nice, while we exercised outside I did take a look at it and it had a good view and a decent amount of equipment. It was also clean. The only potential downside was the valet service. We only used this arriving and departing from the hotel, but we had about a 15 minute wait on departure. While we had nothing urgent to attend to it was a bit annoying. There seemed to be only two attendants and not many others checking out while we were. Just seemed a bit unorganized. Minus the star there. I'd certainly consider staying at Hilton Miami Downtown again. read more

This was my first time staying at this Hilton Hotel and it was a great day. I was here for three days and two nights and had a great experience. The beds and pillows were so soft and I was easily ready to go to bed tonight. I was super hungry one of the nights in ordered room service. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo and it costed me about $43 for everything but I was so hungry and just didn't care how much the price was. I do believe that it was super tasty and flavorful. Valet was about $45 per night and it was easy to get the car whenever we needed it and valet was super fast. I did like that. They didn't come every day to clean my room and would totally recommend to come back again. read more

I'm giving this hotel 2 stars primarily because of Hilton's disappointing luggage storage policy. We stayed here for three nights before departing on a four-night cruise. When we returned to Miami after the cruise, we went back to the hotel hoping to leave our luggage with the bell desk while we spent a few final hours exploring the city before our flight. To our surprise, we were told that luggage storage is only available to guests who are actively checking in or checking out, even though we had just stayed at the hotel days earlier. This policy feels unnecessarily rigid and falls short of the level of service I expect from Hilton. As a loyal Hilton Honors Diamond member, I would expect more flexibility and consideration for returning guests. Small gestures like accommodating luggage storage for recent guests can make a big difference in the overall experience. Hilton can and should do better for its loyal members. Hilton Miami Downtown stated that luggage storage for former guests was prohibited due to safety and security concerns. While I respect the need for security, I found this explanation difficult to reconcile with the fact that nearby hotels, including the DoubleTree, were willing to store luggage using standard bell-desk procedures. As a guest who had stayed at the property for three nights immediately before my cruise, I was disappointed that no accommodation could be made upon my return to Miami. read more

NEVER BOOK THRU A THIRD PARTY! I don't know what made me do it, but it gave me 2 queen beds for 1 night. I only booked this hotel because of the proximity to the cruise port! When we arrived, the lobby was a DISASTER! There were folks there from the NIGHT BEFORE THAT WERE STILL AWAITING ROOMS!?! When we came to sign in, we were like 25th on their list. We were told to hang out in the lobby until we were called. I'm not sure if it was b/c the government was shut down or what, but it was VERY CROWDED! We dealt with a guy at the desk that looked worn out! We waited about 30 minutes and inquired about our room and spoke to Val! Because of her customer service, I'm giving a TWO FOR SERVICE! The room we had was OLD and as soon as we walked in HOUSEKEEPING came knocking talking about did we want our room cleaned?! The room was clean and we just walked in! The restaurant in the hotel ADDS AN AUTOMATIC 18-20% GRATUITY, so we walked across the street to PUBLIX and got dinner and snacks for our cruise. The day of check out was a COMPLETE MESS! They had folks manning the elevators to get to street level. Then TAXIS/UBERS CANNOT COME TO THE DOOR OF THE HOTEL! So we had to walk down the block to get our Uber, but b/c of the elevator fiasco, the driver left to circle back. We're standing on the corner with our bags AND grocery items looking like REAL TOURISTS! Thank God no one robbed us! A taxi came to a red light and we flagged him down to get us to the cruise port. Would I stay here again??? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Is it convenient to the cruise port, sure as long as the port route stays open. I guess it closes at times to allow traffic to clear. I'm NOT a first time cruiser. However, even for an experienced cruiser like myself, you would get rattled. This hotel is right in the middle of downtown with so many food places within walking distance. The free train station is also just around the corner so it's easily accessible. When you enter, you're at the concierge level and every single concierge we encountered was so nice. They would call the elevator for you and you'd have an elevator immediately to the lobby. The lobby is open and gorgeous. There's a restaurant across from the front desk. Because I chose to do a digital key, I never had to stop at the desk. The room was very nice. The room was very clean. Did a bedbug check as always and nothing concerning. The view was very pretty! The AC was super cold and super quick to respond to the thermostat. This was a huge plus for us. The bar restaurant in the lobby, 1601, had good food and a pretty good selection of options. Generally we enjoyed our stay, however there were a few things that were quite annoying. The toilets are very extremely slow to fill the tank after flushing in both rooms, so you couldn't flush again for 25 ish mins. We had to fill the back of the tank using a refillable water bottle. One of the rooms had a plugged toilet from before we came, we had to immediately call them to come plunge it. The water pressure in the shower was very low compared to what we are used to. When we first came, they took our bags on a cart and said they would be delivered to the room. He said "I will follow you up". We were left waiting 30 mins in our rooms wondering when the bags were coming up. On our next time out of the hotel we saw the storage room with carts of suitcases. I don't know why they wait so long to bring the bags. Usually people want to drop luggage in the room and go to dinner or pool right away. Elevators- it was so so busy! They are the smart elevator type. Multiple times we tried to call an elevator and they just said unavailable at this time. The pool closed around 9 which seemed really early, and we didn't make it there in time. But they do have a really cute outdoor area with seating and a neon sign on a grass wall. Something else to note is that breakfast is $30/person. We ran to Publix across the street and got breakfast stuff. That was super convenient. Overall would say our stay was fine, but there were a few things the staff could've done better and some building related improvements needed like elevators and toilet efficiency. read more

While the hotel feels dated back to 80s with low 7 feet hallway ceilings. Rooms are much taller and larger with great beds and views of the bay. Albeit Miami skyline isn't so lit as I'd had hoped. Stayed here the night before a cruise. We moseyed down to the restaurant in the lobby after we got settled. It was a very easy check-in. There was a mini fridge in the room which was nice because I didn't finish my food and it ended up being dinner the next morning. The food was pretty good. We shared the Cuban. If you're going on a cruise, you better get there the day before. We booked the shuttle service to the port. There happened to be a crash in the tunnel, which serves the port and traffic was crazy. Our driver from the hotel knew his way in and around the streets and the traffic and was able to maneuver through all sorts of problems. He was extremely courteous, giving the praying hand signal to people to get himself into another lane. A fifteen minute transfer took an hour and a half. The shuttle was ten dollars pp...people that took an uber got out and walked because their drivers were not accustomed to a traffic jam and prob didn't drive to the port every day like our shuttle driver did. read more

The Hilton Miami Downtown is a great place to stay if your trip is largely focused on the downtown area. I recently stayed there for a guys sports trip in which we attended Miami Heat and Miami Marlins home games. The hotel has a very modern feel and a relaxing pool area. Maybe, the front desk attendant, did a great job in taking care of a booking/checkin situation for me. The hotel is in a walkable area of the city and there is a Publix nearby for purchasing less expensive travel items as well as food and beverage. There is opportunity for the hotel to improve the actual room - they have more of a business feel and the carpet is outdated. Overall, for downtown destinations, this is a solid choice. read more

Stayed one night at the Hilton Miami Downtown hotel, and everything was great. I checked us in on the app, so we really didn't have much interaction with the front desk team except for when we left. They thanked us for staying and wished us well for our vacation. As for our room, we were upgraded to a corner bay-view room that looked directly at the port of Miami. It was really neat being able to watch the ships come in and out. On that note, our room was comfy and clean. The only downfall is the walls are paper thin. Stayed at Hilton Miami Downtown recently and it was a mixed experience overall. The room itself was nice and clean, which I appreciated after a long day of traveling. The hotel is well kept and the room was comfortable. However, the elevator system is honestly terrible. You end up waiting forever just to get an elevator. I'm not sure why they switched to this newer system--whatever happened to the old-fashioned elevator buttons that actually worked efficiently? It felt like every trip up or down took way longer than it should. There was also a party going on at the hotel that lasted until about midnight with very loud music, which made it hard to relax in the room. Not a bad stay overall because the room was good, but the elevators and noise definitely took away from the experience. I'd say it's an average stay at best. read more

I definitely recommend the Hilton Downtown Miami. Very lovely property that is close to the cruise terminal area. The entire staff are very warm, friendly, helpful. It's valet only parking, the valet are all wonderful, and help make your stay great! The rooms are immaculate, has a mini fridge which was great. Starbucks in the lobby was a bonus, the barista was very nice. This Starbucks does not have the various coffees you will find in your local Starbucks but they try to make your coffee as close as possible which was great. During a recent visit to this Hilton I was very impressed with the great location, ease of getting in and out of this hotel and the great customer service. The pool and restaurants were also very nice and relaxing. The downside is that they were doing construction and did not notify us before check in. By 8am each day you could hear drilling and banging while we tried to sleep. The construction also left a really bad smell, which made it hard to breathe when exiting my room. Had to take the stairs 8 floors with big bags and kids. The shuttle to the port was very late. The room was just okay.. the shower was not clean. Finally, the hallways were surprisingly dirty and clearly hadn't been cleaned in days or weeks. Told to wait until 4:00 (normal check in time). 4:00 comes around, room is still not ready. Told to wait up to another hour; room was still not ready. Put into a different (Non ADA) room, at our request. Was told they would send our luggage right up; without delay. We went to dinner, returned 2 1/2 hours later to no luggage. I asked to speak to the manager. Turns out the receptionist we had been dealing with most the afternoon was the manager. Long story short... we got the old shoulder shrug and "well I called them" and told in not so many words "that's it's not my job. Cleaning rooms is not my job either"... "all I can do is call these people". This is from the person claiming to be the hotel manager; The face of the hotel! After a somewhat heated discussion, we ended up going to the luggage storeroom and retrieving our luggage ourselves. I told the manager that right now HE is the face of Hilton hotels and right now HE is killing the brand with a 20+ year loyal customer. He seemed to be in way over his head. The following day, room service cleaned our room in the morning, we are a room of three registered guests. They left us with one clean bath towel. Of course do not notice until we awake the morning of our departure. TOTAL and COMPLETE HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT DISASTER. On a positive note... the included breakfast was absolutely superb. Easily one of the best we have ever had! The waitstaff was cheerful and welcoming! The hotel concierge was equally impressive. They are an absolute major plus to this hotel! Loved that we also had a late checkout and they have Starbucks available at the first floor bar area. Valet parking which is $45 overnight. The hotel is also walking distance to a Publix that also has a Starbucks! The room was very nice! Our view of the bay and downtown was so beautiful. We are Hilton Honors members so we were able to check in and out via the app. Room keys were ready on the app so very convenient that we didn't have to go to the front and check in/out. Guests can opt to stop by the front desk for a hard card key also. The pool is located on the lobby area just past the bar/restaurant. You do need a key to enter the gate. I loved that the pool area had cushion seating and very clean and organized. Great to relax in the morning with my matcha. Only complaint is the pillows. They suck! Stayed her overnight during a quick trip to Miami. Booked the room online, which was really easy. Being a Hilton Honors member, I was able to use the app and got a few perks, like a $15 credit for food/beverage. I was also able to check in online, pick my room, and get a virtual keyboard via tue app. I didn't have to talk to anyone at the front desk, which was a unique experience. The hotel itself is right in the middle of all the other hotels and venues in downtown Miami right off of Biscayne Blvd. Parking was valet and costs $45 per night, which is pretty steep, but considering it's Miami, it isn't surprising. You walk into the lobby, and there I'd a set of elevators you take to the main hotel lobby. Since I checked in online, I was able to walk over to the next set of elevators and go right up to my room. There are restaurants, a bar, and a pool all available on the main lobby floor. There are also oce and vending machines on our floor if you need to grab a drink and ice. You can also order room service if you want. The room itself is clean, modern, BUT COLD. Looming at the thermostat, it was set to 65, and I couldn't change it. Interestingly, by the morning, it was 73 in the room. So my guess is they did that to keep people from creating temp fluctuations and possible mold. I had a Bayview room, which gave me a view of the adjacent buildings, a parking garage, and surprise, the bay! The beds were comfortable, and the shower was nice and hit. I did get to spend a couple of hours the next morning by the pool to get a little sunshine sipping on a Starbucks iced drink from the bar downstairs. Checkout was easy... I forgot to check out, which you can do on the app. The hotel automatically checked me out at noon (checking is 4 pm BTW). All in all, I enjoyed the stay and found the hotel to be unique and a mid to upper tier hotel. Cost was fair for what I got, and things were simple and easy. This hotel has a great location in the Omni neighborhood. The metro mover is less than five minutes walking. There is a Checkers across the street. Publix is also less than five minutes walking. Publix has a Starbucks inside (although you can't mobile order here). You can mobile order at the Starbucks inside the Double Tree, which is seven minutes walking. The room I stayed in was pretty clean. They were able to give me more towels and blankets when it got too cold and rainy outside. The elevators are a bit different and took a day to get used to it. The street level takes you up to either the lobby or the ballroom. Then at the lobby, you turn right to get to the room elevators. You press which floor you're going to, then the kiosk tells you which car to take. Then you and your party go directly up from that car. There is coffee, a bar, and a restaurant downstairs on the same floor as the lobby. There is a tiny fitness room on floor 1. There is a pool, but I never used it. read more

We were checked in by a younger, shorter, Spanish female (I wish I remember her name). She was extremely polite, offered me an upgrade to a junior suite, and provided the necessary information about the hotel. The positive side of the hotel is the location and having a Publix across the street. The valet was always fast and friendly. The room was phenomenal, but the bathroom was tiny for being a junior suite room. We were crammed in it. The room had amazing views, but the heat would overpower the air if you left the drapes open. The shower pressure was great for a hotel. The main bar in the lobby had a DJ for Friday evening/night. The pool area had its own bar outside and it was clean as well as refreshing. The negatives for me were that this hotel draws in cruise ship vacationers. If you are trying to leave when they leave, the elevators beyond suck. I also think that the restaurant for breakfast is what way way over priced for a hotel. Then again, you are in Miami. I would stay here again if I needed a hotel. read more

A Prime Location, a Painful Experience I was thrilled to secure a prime location in Downtown Miami. The nightly rate wasn't cheap, but that's to be expected from a high-end hotel. To avoid any surprises, I quickly signed up for a Hilton membership and reserved the room for Friday and Saturday. Well, surprises came anyway -- several of them, and none pleasant. The most significant one involved the rate itself. I paid the advertised price for the first night, but due to "high demand," the second night nearly doubled -- jumping from $287 to $479. That kind of bait-and-switch is hard to forgive. The room was on the 17th floor, flanked by two glass walls with no operable windows. You'd think that height would insulate you from street noise. Think again. Friday evening, right below our room, an Indian wedding was in full swing. The music was so loud and the bass so powerful that the entire room vibrated. I have nothing against Indian music -- I actually enjoy it -- but not when it rattles your walls until 11 PM, and certainly not when it starts up again at 8 AM the next morning. I suspect I won't be revisiting the Bollywood playlist for at least a month. The room itself was presentable but showed signs of sloppy finishing. The bathroom had minor cosmetic issues that any maintenance visit could have resolved -- and, remarkably, no trash can. A small fridge was tucked inside a wooden cabinet. What should have been a simple amenity turned into a puzzle: the fridge door opened in the opposite direction from the cabinet door. Every logical attempt to open it failed. Only by accident -- trying the one approach that made no sense -- did I finally succeed. A small thing, perhaps, but telling. If you plan on grabbing a morning coffee, don't be fooled by the two staff members working the station. Being fourth in line still cost me a 25-minute wait. The bathroom had minor cosmetic issues that any routine maintenance visit could have resolved -- and contained, remarkably, no trash can. A small fridge was tucked inside a wooden cabinet. What should have been a simple amenity became a puzzle: the fridge door opened in the opposite direction from the cabinet door. Every intuitive attempt failed. Only by accident -- stumbling upon the one approach that defied logic -- did I finally get it open. A small thing, perhaps, but rather telling. If you're counting on a morning coffee, don't be reassured by the two staff members working the station. Being fourth in line will still cost you a 25-minute wait. Given all of this, I cannot justify more than one star -- and that single star belongs entirely to the friendly staff, who were the one genuine bright spot in an otherwise forgettable stay. read more

How do I start ? We reserved a suite with 3 beds. One of the beds didn't even have blanket because they claimed they were out of it. We didn't get it until the 2nd night. They never replaced the coffees the room. For two days straight, we had to go down to the front desk and ask for it because the room phone never worked! Even though we asked them several times to come up and fix it. The customer service is generally super slow and non responsive. Oh, where to begin..stayed here for work/pleasure for 8 days. I did not check reviews before my stay because work chose this place initially and I just extended my stay. It looked nice in the pictures. The elevator situation is completely ridiculous. Not only are there 2 separate elevators to get to the lobby then rooms but they operate with ipads, not buttons. The wait was insane for an elevator, they were often over stuffed with people and luggage and you cannot simply push a "down" button and catch another elevator. Then when someone cannot get on the elevator that comes for them it proceeds to stop at all the floors regardless of whether the person got on or not. Holy moly, folks! The elevator system did not need upgrading, why on earth overcomplicate a very basic thing?? You actually made using an elevator a huge hassle and then added an extra set of them to your hotel!! Upon checking in at about 4pm (exactly check in time) was told there were no king rooms. We asked if there was any way during our stay we could switch to the king room we reserved and was told no- they needed those rooms for other reservations!?! Okay. Then the front desk clerk had the nerve to say oh just push the beds together and he and another man started laughing. I don't find it funny. I was quite pissed. The lobby area itself is clean & nice looking but the minute you get to the dark dingy hallways all the hope disappears. The walls are banged up, there was a pile of crumbling plaster in the hall near our room that remained for our entire stay. The room was in very serious need of an update. The carpet had huge cigarette burns, the floors were disgusting, the beds old and uncomfortable. I think our room was missing a chair or table or something as there was a huge open space that seemed unintentional. The room door did not close by itself. This is very dangerous - most hotel room doors are heavy and close by themselves. The door to my room was very light and stayed open unless i physically closed it. I am truly praying for the people who said this hotel is nice...what is your life if this is nice?? All the towels smelled of food/grease or some bizarre odor, none of them were the same. They were all white but some were different styles and had stains and rips in them. We had no hot water for at least 3 of the mornings we were trying to shower. The house keeping ladies were very kind but I don't think they really clean much. Also concerning to me- one day while I was working from the room there was a knock on my door. I got up to go see who it was and a lady began opening the room door. She was startled by me (?it's my room) then fumbled around saying she was making sure housekeeping had come to my room. What the actual f@#$? They had indeed already come to my room so why was she entering when she thought I was not there? Bizarre. There are lots of things she could have been doing to improve this hotel not helping herself into my room. On day 2 of my stay there was a loud, constant hammering noise. I had to work so I went to a nearby restaurant with wifi so I could do some work, hoping it would stop by my 2 pm meeting. Nope. Upon my return I realized now it's hammering AND drilling. I called guest services. Told them my room # and issue and the lady said "hold on" that's it- just hold on, put me on hold and then the hold eventually hung up. So rude!! I visited the pool area once and it does not look like the pictures. It was also in desperate need of an update and the pool reeked of straight bleach. I used the pool at my daughter's condo instead. This place seems to be a hub for huge groups of cruise people, they seem to stay one day and leave. This is not their vacation but a launching pad for their vacation. If you plan to visit/enjoy Miami I recommend you do not stay here. Also, it looks like they just give a generic "sorry this was not a typical experience" response but these issues just persist! read more

I stayed here for one night recently. This hotel is not really Downtown Miami even though it's the name of the hotel. It's really 10 minutes north of Downtown of Miami. There's not much in the area to do but there is a Publix supermarket across the street. The hotel staff were nice and they were fast with requests. The room was clean and you do get a nice view of the water. However, the rooms definitely need an update. The room had a broken armchair and the fixtures were rusty. It's not worth staying here, there's so many better hotels in Miami. read more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel last week. When we entered the room and started to unpack, we went into the bathroom and was not happy at all what we were seeing. The bathtub looked like it had not been cleaned for a long time. (It was literally black from the dirt) and it only got worse when there was feces in it also. We repacked our items and returned to guest services. We told our experience to the service rep. He was extremely apologetic, and I truly believed he was also extremely embarrassed. He compensated us by moving us to another room (which we were pleased) along with a hotel voucher. Except for this accident, we were pleased with the stay. read more

I recently stayed here for Doja Cat's Miami concert during the Thanksgiving Week. I found it to be an easy walk to the Kaseya Center (less than 15 minutes). The valet service was phenomenal and quick (never forget to tip the valets!) With an elevator ride to the lobby area first, I would say this hotel maintains a high safety standard. However, I wish the surrounding area was a bit more well-lit as to leave the premises does get a bit shady. The room was excellent with an amazing room. I selected my room with the Hilton app; however, it was disappointing to see how rooms on higher floors (8 and above) were subject to fees of over $100 for the same view. I would say select your room quick to get an amazing view without the extra price tag. Lastly, the service was great! I had to call for shaving kit and cups to the room. We stayed here for one night and it was just okay. Nothing spectacular. We asked about the shuttle services to the Port of Miami and one of the employees said that the time we needed was sold out. We asked if the shuttle only ran once a day per time and he said "yes". It seems for a hotel of that size with customers needing to go to and from the Port they would have shuttle services for more than just once a day. It's a decent hotel. I booked with points because I could not afford the outrageous nightly rates. The check in staff were nice and the room was clean. The bar is quite expensive. We did have a room that faced the cruise terminal. The loss of stars is due to the lack of sound insulation in the hotel. We tried to sleep but could hear and feel the beat of electronic dance music until 2AM. Hotel staff never figured out where the disturbance was coming from. read more
