Fantastic skate shop on Maui. My two boys wanted to bring their boards with them on our flight but I just decided to get them two new setups here and thought it would make a supremely cool souvenir. The owner got us setup in no time. He's got all the great lines of equipment, Powell & Peralta, Independent, Bones Bearings etc. I have to admit the throwback boards had me considering my own purchase. I always wanted a Hosoi Hammerhead. Anyways we got great gear, super friendly service and some great tips for island skating. The parks here are fantastic. I found this place on Yelp searching for a skate shop on Maui that could help my 9 year old son get outfitted while on island staying with his grandma. He is just getting started skating and the guys at Aloha Boards took the time to measure his height, weigh him, and hooked him up with a custom board at a really reasonable price for a "real" custom built skateboard. They also fitted him for a helmet and full set of pads. Of course he also had to get a cool hat from their shop! He's stoked and skates every day now. I would give this place 1000+ stars if I could. Not only are they friendly, they are extremely helpful. I found the perfect drop deck that I wanted and Andrew helped me find all the pieces to put it together. He was very informative about the trucks, wheels and bearings. And also he gave us some pro tips on good places to skate on the island! I can't imagine having gone somewhere else for my first board purchase. We were on vacation from San Francisco and my son wanted to skate the local park in Lahaina (great park). We didn't bring our gear and I needed a new deck. Andrew set us up with a complete. We selected his local deck graphic, trucks and wheels. It's a fantastic ride and Andrew couldn't have been friendlier and knowledgable.
