This is a very bare-bones operation. You are separated from others with a curtain and may not be spared of snoring and weird noises. As for the masseuses, they follow a similar massage routine with greatly varied techniques. I don't think I've ever had a bad massage there, but I'd learned to avoid some therapists. I recommend finding one you like, and requesting them while booking the appointment. May have less flexible bookings, but worth the specification. I like Mike, Lily, and Mei. When you make an appointment with them, they will text you reserved stalls that you can park in as sometimes the visitor stalls are taken up which is nice that you don't have to worry about it. The monthly subscription makes the price of the massage less by $10 and is an excuse to get a massage at least once a month. There is also a Waikiki location at the ilikai where I tried their facials. The parking is validated which is great for Waikiki. It is however a little more expensive than the kahala location but they do occasionally have more specials at the Waikiki location...although I haven't seen it for a while.

I've been to many massage therapists, both male and female, who all claim that they can do firm massages, but always seem to disappoint. They are all "one and done" as I never go back to them because all they do is soft massages that put me to sleep, but don't fix my problems. Focus does a great job of balancing firm massages without causing unnecessary pain. She is super easy to work with and will adjust the pressure based on your preference.
