If you're looking for a skilled electrician, look no further! After going through three extended power outages in our area in the last year, we were done. It was time for a backup solution. We decided to go with an Ecoflow Delta Pro Ultra battery backup and Smart Home Panel 2. I'm a relatively handy person and have done some basic electrical work myself in the past, but there was no way I felt comfortable trying to install an electrical panel on my own! We reached out to multiple companies for estimates to install the panel and move our critical circuits over. Robert came by our house to discuss the project, along with other electrical projects we had in mind for the future. Given the amount of work required to install the panel and the fact that the Ecoflow panel is a brand new product on the market, we found his quote to be fair and competitive with other quotes we got. We also found Robert to be an extremely friendly and professional person, someone we would be happy to work with. Prior to the installation, Robert took the time to research our setup, even going so far as to reach out to Ecoflow for clarification on certain installation requirements. By installation day, he knew the panel inside and out. The installation of our new panel went flawlessly! It's clear that Robert is a person who takes great pride in his work. He left the electrical panels looking pristine and left no messes for us to clean up. We couldn't be happier with the work he performed! I messaged Robert and he responded back so quickly. I really appreciated that he asked a few questions and asked if I could try some quick fixes before we decided to schedule. Scheduling a date was super easy and the day of the job, Robert texted me to let me know he's on his way and his ETA. He was right on time! Anytime you go through a home renovation no matter how big or small in scope, you need to expect the unexpected. More likely than not, you will be hit with a surprise that you didn't prepare and/or budget for. The pandemic has afforded me an opportunity to work from home semi-permanently so I decided to renovate my backyard cabana into a full home office. With the added electrical demands in the new "office", I reached out to electricians to troubleshoot and determine what it would take to run enough power for my office gear + an HVAC system. The first estimate that I received from one of the big-name companies in the area gave me a price that made me second guess continuing on with the project. Their proposal was overkill for what I needed and it just did not make financial sense for me to move forward with that proposal so I searched for a second opinion on how I can safely, and reasonably get what I need. I ran across Robert and Aloha Electric just by looking on Yelp and I feel extremely lucky that I found him. Normally, when you call plumbers, electricians, or any of these highly skilled pros, you get a "give me your name and address and we'll send someone out". Robert was not like that at all. He humanized the experience by allowing me to explain the situation and actually took the time to understand the entire scope of the project. He explained a couple different options based on my explanation (all safe, and to-code solutions) and we agreed on a time to have him come out to validate his assumptions for said options. He also made recommendations on how I should lay out the home office (ie. installing electrical outlets at desk-level vs. underneath he desk for phone chargers and the like). Shortly after, he sent me his estimate with my budget and safety in mind. It didn't end there. Knowing that I am working on a very tight timeline with my renovation, Robert went above and beyond by squeezing me in even if that meant multiple trips to my home. Not only did he keep me in budget, he also collaborated and accommodated schedules with my contractor to make sure they weren't in each other's way. Folks, we need more companies like this. With social media and YouTube enabling us to do a lot of work on our homes in a DIY fashion, there are some things you need to leave to the professionals. When you do, its good to know that there are still good, honest companies out there that are in the business of helping the community. read more
