Very weird environment, i walked in and some girl was helping me and some guy which seemed to be a manager full of tattoos was just walking around staring down the employees in the front, and messing around with a certain employee. We ordered Hawaiian short rib plates to go. Styrofoam boxed and bagged very nicely. Next day, planned to warm them for dinner and low and behold a LIVE fly was in the cabbage and carrot side dish. Too gross for me! Thirty dollars, double trash bagged to avoid maggots and straight to a trash can! What a shame, on a seemingly clean place. Their service is extremely slow. It seems that there hasn't been any improvements at all since this place opened . I often order the exact same thing every time I come to this place and usually have to wait 20-25 mins. I think it's ridiculous how long I have to wait for only 2 drinks. This time I waited 40 mins for my two drinks: a milk tea boba and a strawberry smoothie. After waiting 40 minutes, I went to the ladies in the front to check on the status of my drink. They gave me a milk tea boba that has been sitting on the counter for over 30 mins. I requested that they remake my milk tea boba because it's been sitting there and watered down. They were not apologetic and appeared to have a problem with remaking my milk tea. After "remaking" my milk tea, they didn't even fill my large boba milk tea drink container all the way. I'm very disappointed in how things were handled. I very much like the food and drinks here. I however can't justify the waiting time. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here for lunch during your work hours. read more

My family and I have been coming back at least 2x a week since opening day. Each time we have had a pleasant experience. A few occasions we have come they have been extremely busy, but I didn't mind the little wait. I love seeing local businesses thrive. We have had the Boba teas, Pineapple Smoothy, shaved ice, katsu, tom yum, ramen, short ribs, bbq beef, chicken teriyaki, masubi, rice balls, sushi burritos, and masubi's. All delicious and with generous offerings. We can usually make one plate feed two people sometimes 3. My mom is from Hawaii and she loves when we bring her along. Staff is always friendly. Only one time did we have to change our order when they ran out of something (understandable since it was 20 minutes before closing). I love the little details from the branded plastic cups to the carryout bags. The owner really cares about the customer and staff is always checking to make sure we are happy with our meals. My only request is that the resturaunt carry sweet chili sauce for the masubi please:) read more

This place has the best pineapple smoothie i have ever tried if only they can make it an alcoholic drink wink wink. Anyways i love how they say aloha when you enter and mahalo when we leave. I was excited to hear that we had a Hawaiian bbq spot in town. That meant I could get my chicken katsu fix without having to drive too far. We've been here at least 5 times. Food is always decent, albeit a bit expensive, but service is not. They're deceiving enough telling everyone aloha as they walk in and mahalo as you leave but that's where it stops. I had a Grubhub order that the restaurant, not the Grubhub driver, got wrong so when I called to let them know the manager said that our meal would be comped the next time we came in. I even made sure to ask him if it would be written down some where in case he wasn't there when we went in and he assured me it would be. It's been a month since we've returned so we went into the restaurant to pick up our order. When I informed the cashier she said the manager wasn't there but he would call me in the morning. When I asked if they can contact him now the reply I got was "oh we don't have his number". I find that absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! You're running a business where there is no supervision and no way to contact anyone in case of an emergency?!?! The so-called "supervisor" has no decision making authority so what purpose does he serve?? Then when I go to check our order before we leave the amount of food that was given was nothing compared to what we've received in the past. It's not even worth it any more. Really enjoyed the food here; it tasted a lot fresher and less greasy than the typical Hawaiian fast food restaurants. The family meal was a great deal, a little over $30 for enough food to feed 4 adults and 3 kids. My only complaint was the mountain of plastic (thick cups/lids, straws, food containers, and utensils) that was left over after we were done. The love and friendship that she welcomes you with when you are in the restsurant is like going to visit an auntie or family member. Ksy makes that place work. First thing when you walk in everyone shouts sn aloha to you.the food is excellent. I like the kalbi shirt ribs and my cousin order the d the kalua pork. OMGi was the kalua pork delicious plus you get a lot of neat for your money. My cousin had enough left over he was saving it for tomorrow's lunch. I ate my short ribs up and it was delicious. The plates are reasonably priced and it comes with two scoops of rice, one scoop of macaroni salad which is delicious and cooked carrots, cabbage and broccoli. I like the milk tea with grass jelly. We tried the lillioki dessert. It's shaved ice with ice cream in the center and they pour two types of syrup over it, add pearls that pop in your mouth, mini flavored mochi balls and strawberries. We were full by the time we got through our meal. Highly recommend this fun place that just has a lot of joy and fun. They also have Hawaiian dancing which we missed.
