It all comes down to the ice. Gotta be fine melt in your mouth ice. Not chunky or gritty. And they got the good ice here. They have some other good local goodies like arare and li hing mui candies. As far as shaved ice goes, I always get the same thing: ice cream on the bottom, vanilla shaved ice, and a snow cap of condensed milk on the top. The ice cream was average quality (probably wouldn't get that again), but the syrup they used for the saved ice is so flavorful. Maybe the best syrup I've had. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

We had over estimated our ability to walk the heavy kayak down to the beach and the owner was very kind to assist us by loading it in his vehicle, while at the beach he introduced us to the life guard because he was concerned as there were strong winds/currents that day, and he also came to check in on us and helped drive the kayak back. We were super grateful for the effort he put in because it truly was exceptional. The boogie boards and snorkel gear were good quality and easy to carry if you're going to a local beach. If you do want to rent the kayaks, just make sure you have the transportation figured out. When we returned we also had some shaved ice which was some of the best we had during this trip.
