What a cool concept.. Was very fortunate enough to have a taste of Shave Ice by Fine Time Shave Ice at the event for First Hawaiian Bank at the Diamond Head Theater to celebrate "Frozen" the musical. It's fitting to have a shave ice station as the line was the longest filled with mostly the big kids all wanting to nab that cool treat and they're just amazing as Olaf would've been so proud to have this in the Summertime with the flurries of ice that can be made in so many ways with a dozen flavors including Green River, POG and yup Matcha but this is to celebrate frozen so we got a scoop of premium vanilla ice cream and Ramune giving it that cool light blue color along with a stick of Shiratama Mochi Balls this indeed had to be the coolest treat in town. They did have a Specialty Flavor of "Sven's Snow Cone" which was Ramune and POG topped with Condensed milk, glitter and sprinkles...gah! Love me sprinkles and glitter and never imagine a top of a snow cone though I didn't get it I know it had to be magical. Wonderful staff worked perfectly well under pressure and got everyone their shave ice before the show started with the flair and made it a night to remember. Thank you!

Natural flavor strawberry with a snow cap!

Years and years ago, I helped coach a girls soccer team (The Blazers!). Lost touch with the coach and players til I got a message from Megan S. asking if I had coached her team. She said she was still best friends with the coaches daughter Jana P. and connected us! LOVE IT!! And how cool is it that they have been best friends since elementary school?! Oh wait, this is supposed to be a food and business review. I am getting to it! Jana has a shave ice business called Island's Finest Shave Ice that caters to parties, weddings and most kinds of gatherings. We needed to hire a shave ice person for our Grad Fest so we booked them! Very professional. Great communication. Reasonable price. They make the shave ice fast so no long lines. The ice is fine. Jana brought 15 flavors (check out the menu board in photos) and ice cream, snow cap, and li hing powder. Students were very happy. Great job Jana! So if anyone wants to have shave ice at their event or gathering, I highly recommend Jana and Island's Finest Shave Ice!

I've been wanting to try the shave ice from here but just never seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Luckily, they were in my neighborhood today for First Friday at Mililani High School. It's been sooo hot and humid lately and this shave ice just hit the spot! So refreshing! I got shave ice with ice cream and for my flavors...strawberry, lilikoi, and guava. The ice was fine/powdery and the flavors were not too sweet! The best part is when you get to the bottom and there's that perfect amount of ice cream melted with the flavored shave ice!! The cost is $5 and that includes 3 flavors with options for ice cream at the bottom and a variety of toppings (li hing powder, pop rocks, condensed milk, etc). They have a lot of flavor options which include natural and sugar free. Fast, friendly customer service!! I highly recommend them!

So yummy. My boys and I had to go back twice! Don't pass it up and enjoy as many flavors as possible. The condensed milk is a bonus!

Review Highlights - Fine Time Shave Ice

We are super picky about the quality of the shave ice and Jana was so gracious to be able to host a sample tasting for us.

Fantastic little ice cream shop right next to Costco. Parking can sometimes be a challenge…read moredepending on the time of day but it's definitely worth the visit. You can even make it a pre-Costco shopping delight stop. The menu is always changing but it feels like there's always something delicious to be had. My favorite is the Rocky Road where they actually add marshmallows on top and toast it for you. The Buttah Cakes has also been a recent gem that we've tried lately and it's absolutely delicious. Since it's freshly made, it's rich, creamy, and even a little scoop goes a long way. They even make waffle cones in store if you want to spruce things up for your dessert experience. The staff are friendly and handle rushes of customers well for the size of the shop. We're lucky to have a great shop like this in central Oahu so you don't have to drive all the way to town for a great ice cream fix.

I have been coming here since they were first open but I have not gotten around to reviewing them…read moreuntil now. I was craving ice cream. Let's just say this place changed A LOT over the past years. Service: 3/5 Waited about 5 minutes to get my order taken. There was a couple in front of me and the worker was chatting with them only. I was not aware of what she was doing until I realized I was waiting for a bit so I looked for myself and saw she was making a waffle cone. Would have appreciated if she told me "Be right with you!" She at least said thank you for waiting. Service used to be a bit more efficient from what I remembered in the past. While we were inside and eating our ice cream, 2 parties came in. They were waiting for about 3 minutes and I saw one of them looking around for the worker who went to the back. All we did was just shake our heads at this moment... Food: 3/5 Holy, these scoops though too. My sister and I paid $11 total for these tiny kid looking scoops. Ice cream tasted good but tastes mediocre now. I wanted a fruity flavor so I got the honeydew flavor that tasted like a melona without the stick. My sister's peanut butter and strawberry one was pretty good. However, I remember when they used to have flavors that I could not get elsewhere but it feels pretty basic nowadays. They give bigger single scoops at Baskin Robbin's for the same price or even a couple cents more. Ambiance: 5/5 I say there's ample enough seating and it feels clean and comfortable. I like sitting near the window but I just don't like that their one and only trash can is right next to that table. Verdict: I am not sure if I will be coming back. I noticed their flavors don't change as much as they used to. I remember being excited to see what's new but after today it seems like they been keeping things the same for awhile now. Between the size of the scoops, service, and the flavors I am not sure if I want to come back.

The flavors are fresh and well balanced. They have low-fat, non-fat, non-dairy options and the best part is the endless yogurt and topping combinations. You can really make it exactly how you want every time. The toppings bar has so many great options, like anything you can think of that would go well with yogurt--it's there. Don't forget your drizzle! Those are soo hard to choose from. Everything is clean and well-stocked. The staff are always super kind and welcoming. You grab a bowl, fill it with the soft serve of your choice and put on your toppings. It's charged by weight. It's $0.79 for an oz. When you check out, they put the bowl on the scale and they tell you how much your bowl is. Our bowl came out to 13.8 oz. and we paid around $11. The flavors they had today were vanilla, chocolate, coffee, yellow cake batter, strawberry, original tart, taro, lychee tart, Hawaiian Delight, Dole Whip, Samurai Blue Vanilla and Samurai Honeydew. We got the Hawaiian Delight and Dole Whip swirl topped with tiny mochi bits. Both of the flavors blended well. The Hawaiian Delight tasted like strawberry guava and on the sweeter side. The Dole Whip was pineapple and on the tart side. It was perfect on this hot day.

Shopping in Mililani, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. I was walking between Starbucks and Zippy's at Town Center of Mililani when I spotted a familiar name: S7 Icy Bubble. I have been to their Dillingham Boulevard, Aina Haina, Aiea, Pearl City, and Kailua locations, but not this Mililani store... yet... I had to take a look... Besides bubble tea and snacks, S7 has a lot of cute merchandise. I browsed through the blind boxes, keychains, hair accessories, backpacks, pens, purses, etc. Tempting... especially the bunny bag! I was intrigued by the small outfits that could fit a Labubu. I got a set at $7.99 and it fit! I should have gotten another set... haha! I'll find time to go out there again. The outfits aren't at other stores.

Great spot for a sweet treat!…read more * Parking: Ample parking in the Mililani Town Center lot. For the nearest parking area, I'd suggest to park by the movie theatre or behind iHop. * Ambiance: Kind of overstimulating with the bright lights, aisles of merchandise, lego wall, claw machines, etc. but kids would really enjoy it here! It was a good way of passing time while we waited for our order. * Service: Quick and easy ordering. I appreciate how their menu includes so many pictures! *Food/Drink: I love a good oreo dessert so we ordered the choco monster waffle as well as the oreo rolled ice cream. Just looking back on the pics makes me want to stop by again! So good!
