I first had Aloha Ice back when they just opened, maybe in 2022! Fast forward three years, and now they're catering at my kid's school. The consistency they've maintained over the years is honestly unmatched. Their "shaved ice" isn't even in comparison to others--it's smoother, softer, and yes, definitely goes neck and neck with Matsumoto's in North Shore for me (yep, I said it!!!). What really sets them apart is the full experience. Whether you're at a catered event or visiting the shop, their service is always top-tier. The staff is friendly, patient, and genuinely happy to be there! Always laughing behind the counter and ready to help you pick the perfect flavor (or help clean up after your kid's spills). It feels welcoming, homey, and full of aloha. The shop itself is spotless, cool, and has plenty of space to sit and relax. Whether you're with friends, family, or just sharing a table with a friendly stranger on a hot day. I got the ube overload--just a regular size--and my son devoured mine before finishing his own. The flavor is rich and true, and the ice cream on top melts right into the shaved ice like a dream. It's smooth, flavorful, and somehow never gives you brain freeze or scrapes the roof of your mouth. Definitely turning this into a monthly treat. 100/10 recommend--even on a cold day. :)
WOWZA! So far one of the best shaved ice I've had in the Bay Area CA! This place totally topped it off with their soft shaver maker and condensed milk giving you that Hawaiian memory (if you've tried HI version). 10/10 for sure! My husband's family took us here when we came to visit for the long holiday weekend and with the weather being hot while we were there, this was definitely much needed. Their menu wasn't overwhelming and they also had a menu that has some sweet and neat ideas already if you don't want to make your own version. I chose my own and picked out flavors that I chose a lot when I was in Hawaii. I totally reminisced. My husband and I also tried what his family ordered and got the awesome taste of other flavors, all good. I'd really love to come back here again the next time we come visit. So if you're ever in the near area, come get a taste of Hawaii!
Wasn't sure what to expect but this was super delicious & refreshing! They were pretty busy today (it was 105 out) but the service was pretty quick. The staff are friendly & it's very vibey/modern inside. You get a lot! I could probably share a small haha. Also... we are huge ube critics & their ube is spot on, I can probably guarantee they use magnolia brand ice cream lol. Definitely will be back to try more!
We ordered sugar free mango/strawberry with condensed milk. I am not sure if I just ordered the wrong item but our order was bland and we couldn't taste the flavors. We actually threw it away. Very disappointed. We've had plenty of shaved ice from Hawaii so while we're not experts, I don't think we had unrealistic expectations. Service was functional and the decor is super cute inside the store. Plenty of free parking in strip mall lot. Update: I was really impressed the business owner responded so quickly to the feedback within 24hrs and proactively applied a refund. We didn't request the refund nor expect one at all. It's clear the business cares about their customer and customer experience.
First time visit in travel to Brentwood, and immediately captured by the very clean and island-vibe atmosphere. Full wall mural, social media background, clear menu. The photos showing what the speciality Ice's look like was very helpful, especially since they say what flavors are in it. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The cashier was super patient, took time to explain the rewards program, and thanked us as we were leaving. Service and ambiance alone make this place worthy to visit. For the ice, while they carry a higher than normal price, they stack it up pretty high. The ice is grounded very fine, leaving a nice soft texture that is perfect for the season. I also appreciate the concept of the toppings and tropical ice cream being optional add one. My only qualm is that the pour of the syrup was extremely heavy handed. The final syrup has authentic Hawaiian flavors but it was way too sweet, even with the condensed milk. I admittedly couldn't get through half of the regular size. Even then, I would still come back and request if they can keep it to a light pour. Generally a great spot, and I hope they find a good balance of flavors that mimic the great bingsoos around the bay area.
Found my new shave ice spot! Literally better than the ones we usually get in Hawaii. Ice texture is perfect -- not too big/gritty and fine enough to hold the syrup well without a crazy pool of it at the bottom. I got the Lava Flow bc I'm obsessed with anything Li Hing Mui. It came with a bit of condensed milk which was sort of the cherry on top for me. I will get this again next time for sure. Bonus: Great service from the staff. They were informative & attentive. The ambiance is fun, clean & comfy + good Hawaiian playlist in the background. Highly recommended!
If you are looking for a treat that any age will like, THIS is the spot! Like I said before this place is a hidden gem! Right off of Lone Tree Way it's on the corner in the same shopping center as the Salvation army and Lollipop haircuts. Parking is never a problem as there is a large lot out front. The shaved ice is delicious- my personal favorite is the Ubelicious. Make sure to order a regular as it has ice cream on top and I think it's Ube ice cream on the bottom. The shaved ice is pillowy soft, my kids go crazy for this place. They like the sillier versions; usually just cotton candy flavoring. I have tried the root beer floater shaved ice cream (yum!) but one I found ubelicious that has been my go to. Maybe in the future I'll venture out, The place is beautifully decorated, great if you want some fun instagram worthy pictures. It's bright and the staff are nothing but helpful, warm, and welcoming. If you haven't tried, add this place on your list!
Our own little piece of Hawaii right here! I would put this shave ice up there with the ones in Hawaii, super smooth like soft snow. Lots of flavors and the owners are nice as well. My wife and i habe been here twice since we discovered it and can't wait to go back!! Btw if you've nevwr had shave ice it's not like a snow cone and something you really need to try!
WOW. I love this place. Shave ice 10000%. Decor & customer service & cleanliness are 100%. For some reason, there were no line when we went even tho it was over 100 degrees outside. They consistently had people ordering, but no line. Weird, but lucky for me because I had a hard time choosing from their options. Everything sound so appealing to me, and I kept going back and forth between the choices. The cashier was super friendly and helpful in giving recommendations as well. A staff even checked in with us to see if everything was good while we were seated. The strawberry syrup was a bit overwhelmingly sweet for me & it's not my personal favorite, but I loved the other two flavors (pineapple and guava). They taste even more amazing when combined with the vanilla ice cream. Perfect fluffy ice that melts in your mouth. Highly recommend!
They have lots of parking in this square but very less seating inside given the constant crowd and extra floor space that they have where they could add more tables. Pretty indoor seating and they did one wall up really well for pictures! The ordering process was easy and staff was friendly. It comes in 3 sizes. Chk out pics to see more. Long line but quick ordering. The wait was too long to recieve ur order. In $9, we ordered a medium shaved ice cup which came with 3 flavors of our choice and topped with vanilla ice cream and condensed milk ($1 additional) the portion size was good but the condensed milk could hardly be tasted/ seen :( and the strawberry syrup was toooooo sweet :( and i couldnt taste the coconut flavor at all. No high chairs for the little ones either :( I saw people were just sitting outside the restaurant on the floor and feeding their kids :(
On a hot day, this is a perfect treat. I went in June but lines were still out the door. Went back in July and no line during the weekday. It's a little overwhelming but I didn't know the photos near the register are types of shave ice. I made my own in regular with scoop of coconut ice cream, haupia, and peach flavors. Regular size was too much for me and it was super sweet. The coconut ice cream is simply delicious. The espresso one was way too strong but I think that's how espresso is supposed to be. Come try this place out. It's a really nice sweet treat.
Two years?!! I have missed this gem for two years! I just recently ran across a local based social media post celebrating this business and their two year anniversary. I admit that I had more likely than not seen their sign from the main street while running to and from work or on errands but thought, nah, I haven't heard of them from anyone I know so they are more than likely just like all the others. Took two of my daughters and my grandson to check them out and we were NOT disappointed. It took my daughters quite some time to choose the flavors that they wanted but the staff were well versed in the Aloha spirit and did not make them feel rushed at all. The space is not large but it is designed well. Exceptionally clean and not lacking on the island-vibe. I went with a basic coconut over azuki beans (yes, I said azuki beans!!! - they have them) topped with condensed milk. Guava, POG and mango with ice cream for one daughter and Tiger's Blood, Lychee and Haupia for the other daughter both topped with Li Hing Mui powder. Portion sizes are much larger than expected but definitely welcomed. The only thing missing was the trip to the beach beforehand. Hands down my go-to for a taste of Hawaii. I have made sure to share pictures with the family back home on Maui that I have finally found a brick-and-mortar location that can sustain a piece of home between visits. I hope you guys thrive here, I will be spreading the word.
ALOHA, ALOHA Welcome to the neighborhood!! There is nothing more pleasing than a bowl of sweet mixture of ice , condensed milk and ice cream (cold, sweet and more sweet). I tried the peach, guava and mango my favorite 3 flavors !!! After the first spoonful I suddenly had the urge to hula dance. I'm totally serious I had to contain myself. I believe this may be my first experience of having a party in my mouth! Waitttt ... ummm yea it's up there with my very first "French kiss." Yummmy! I love this concoction the portion was definitely enough to share. But me being greedy, thirsty and HOT. I finished the whole bowl by myself cause I deserved it. The staff is very nice they checked on me twice while I sat in a corner trying to hide my face from the shame of being selfish. It took me no time at all to finish this goodness. If you have nieces, nephews and cousins they will love this outing. Don't be like me and go alone take someone, anyone or everyone it's too good not share the experience. I cannot name all the flavors it's plenty to choose from a lot of flavors to tryout. You can also customize your order to your liking. It's spacious there are table and chairs available to take your time. Don't forget to snap a photo to post on IG the mural on the wall is beautiful. Our family LOVES shave ice. When we visit Hawaii we will find a good place and go daily. We never used to have shave ice when on the mainland. But then we moved to Brentwood and then a few months later Aloha opened just minutes from us and our life is better for it. It actually opened just after returning from a trip to Hawaii where we had a certain very well know and delicious shave ice from a place that starts with the letter U every day and our family is in agreement that Aloha is outstanding and better than U. So happy it's here and close to us and happy to support them. In addition- very friendly; greeting each customer as they walk in and constantly cleaning tables every time someone is finished. Discovered Aloha Ice recently and it is awesome! I would put it up there with the shops in Hawaii. We had the Hulk which is one of their signature with Ube/pandan topped with Ube condensed milk and ice cream. The other was a tropical flavor with popping boba and both were outstanding! Aloha ice is next level with their shaved ice! I never cared for it until having Aloha ice! the best thing to come to the area in a long time! Family owned and very welcoming, but may absolute favorite thing is the variety of flavors they have for the shaved ice! Maaaaaaan this is next level! Wave Refresher is my absolute favorite! I also love the Summer Breeze, the ice cream at the bottom set these off, can't wait to try the rest, especially with this hot weather, perfect for the summer! Tried 5 of the shop's special flavors pre-concocted (see images for names). All were good. All had scoop of vanilla ice cream at bottom except orange cream- ice cream on top. Flavors were good. Ice was nice and smooth melt-in-your-mouth! Loved the ice, had none before like it. Sweet sunrise was most liked. Would have to try my own flavor or the typically blue raspberry or something to know if it's worth the hype. All devoured in no time for about $45. Pretty hefty for only snow cones. Lol...but the kids experience made it all worth it. They also brought the items directly to us at the tables (small joint with 4x 4-seater tables). Restroom available. They greeted hello and byebye. read more

If you're craving for a sweet treat .. you can't go wrong with Aloha Ice! Shave ice is an experience. The staff is friendly and will happily walk you thru the menu if it's your first time. The bright colors are IG approved. It can get loud inside, but don't let it ruin your shave ice. Best spot to cool off from that Brentwood heat. read more
