This may seem like a strange place for a plate lunch but the Filipino food here is no joke. I like…read morediniguan and have tried it at a bunch of places and the diniguan here is probably my favorite. The meat is cooked long enough so that it's very tender and they use good fatty pieces (possibly pork belly). The adobo is also good and unique. It's pretty sweet but very good and I think they use pork belly for that as well. Trying the guisantes for the first time and that's pretty good too; a little different with carrots and potatoes and it has a bit of sweetness too. Also, this gas station always has the cheapest gas outside of Costco so another good reason to stop by.

We got the three piece banana lumpia $6.09 and a mixed plate (fried chicken and bbq pork ribs) $15.99. It came with two scoops of white rice and corn. I added on a 44 oz. drink for $1.29. I was there around 7pm. The food was ok. The piece of fried chicken was sitting under the heat lamp for a while. The skin was crispy hard and the meat was dry. The bbq pork ribs were well seasoned. The white rice had too much water in it and was soggy. I would have given it three stars. However, I added on a 44 oz. drink for a great price. On top of that they have Orange Bang as a fountain drink. I couldn't believe my eyes. I've eaten at a lot of places and they never have Orange Bang as a fountain drink. I love Orange Bang and filled that sucker up. If I lived closer I would be here everyday for an Orange Bang.

This Longs Drugs is located in the Mililani Town Center and the other Longs Drugs is located in Mililani Mauka. Open 24/7, this place offers a great selection of candies, household goods, in addition to various medical supplies/medications. An Access Medical clinic is located inside in the back near the pharmacy. Previously this was the only pharmacy located in Mililani, however once they opened the Mauka location we have at least two now. Be aware the prices on some goods maybe higher, especially when compared to Walmart. But they do have sales and if you have a CVS account, you may get coupons sent to you in your email. This in addition to the standard coupon you get on the ridiculously long cvs receipt you get at checkout lol.

She also showed me that there was a Sakura flavored KitKat! Shopping around Longs Drugs at three in the morning for random things was not in the agenda for the start of my day off, but I really needed dog food and this 24 hour location came in clutch. We found a lot of random things that we needed or I guess thought we needed for the household. The main thing was dog food that we just didn't have at home. Secondly, we found two lunchables for the price of five dollars. We're adults now so we can buy things we couldn't as kids. We were also really excited to find cookies and cream flavored fat boy ice cream. And if you have ever tried the dairy gold chocolate milk, you know that is top-tier!

It's funny how these little adult decisions become so exciting. The world is our oyster, we get to decide what color trash cans we want, what store we shop at, and how much we're willing to spend based on our budget. This is adulting, y'all! As for trash bags, Walgreens is my go-to because they're so affordable. Unfortunately, tonight my shopping trip got cut short because they were doing maintenance on the lights. The machinery was incredibly loud, and it started giving me a headache, so I couldn't browse every aisle like I usually do. That was definitely a bummer. I will say, though, I enjoyed checking out the alcohol prices. I'm currently putting together a mini bar cart for my room, and Walgreens has some really good prices on their mini bottles. I'm looking forward to comparing prices at Longs Drugs, Foodland, and Costco before I finish stocking it. I'll definitely be back, as always, Walgreens. Hopefully next time I'll have a better shopping experience!

Got there and realized they only sell frozen dim sum. Cute little store. They also sell steamers, mini bamboo, silicone microwave, electric. I guess these have if you want to serve others or purchase their dim sum often? There was a young lady behind the counter. She looked up and said to let her know if I needed help. Then left me to check out the freezers with all of the offerings. Unless you have a craving for something specific, take your time looking. There's a large assortment of items you can purchase. Best sellers are marked with a sign to help you decide. I perused the freezers but had two specific items in mind since I had recently eaten them elsewhere and wanted to do a comparison. Picked up a pkg of pan fried turnip cake (6ea) and a stir fried mochi rice ball (3ea). Pkgs have clearer instructions so I decided to follow them exactly to test them out. Turnip cakes instructions said microwave for a minute then pan fry over medium heat until crispy and the instructions were spot on. Used a non-stick pan and didn't need any oil. These tasted very good, worth the crispy outside inside was tender. Brushing the pan with a little oil would have given it the classic fried taste, but it was a cleaner taste without the oil. Next time I'll use a touch of oil to get the best flavor - 4.5/5. Stir fried mochi rice wasn't what I was expecting. Each rice ball was tightly wrapped in plastic wrap and taped. Instructions didn't say whether to remove the wrap before or after microwaving. So I microwaved for one minute, and was able to figure out the wrap was taped. Couldn't have figured it out when it was frozen. I just didn't want to heat the rice ball with the plastic wrap on. I was disappointed that it wasn't the usual l mochi rice ball wrapped in a win ton pi. There was no pi wrapper. But the rice tasted more or less the same, with plenty of dried shrimp and lup cheong pieces - 4/5 because no pi. Overall, taste was good and it was quick to heat from frozen. Quick dim sum meal is you have these in the freezer since you heat from frozen. Need to make your own shoyu mustard or other sauce. Will probably go back and try a few more items. Oh, I didn't notice the sign saying there's a fee to use credit cards where you pay until after I paid.
