I saw Aloha Plumbing on Yelp with awesome reviews and decided to give them a call to get a second quote to fix 3 ft of PVC sewer line that had a tree root in it. The quote from a large franchise plumbing company was ridiculously high. He told me he couldn't come out for a couple of days but he gave me the best advice that most plumbers wouldn't share with you. He advised me to contact the city to come out since the issue was from the clean out to the street to have them access the issue. He also shared with me how to lower the costs of the repair should the city not fix the issue. Jarred went above and beyond your typical customer service. We had a water heater replaced by Aloha Plumbing. I received quotes for repair of the failed unit, and its replacement both and opted to go with replacement. They scheduled our service call for the day after my first call, which from my point of view is a good turn-around. The technician, Branden, arrived on time and based on the age of our water heater, recommended that we replace it. The replacement unit was already on hand in his truck, and with the help of two additional Aloha personnel who arrived shortly after, was completed. I found them professional, courteous, and patient -- with the last one being rather unusual for service people in my experience. I'm not a family friend or a relative of Jerred (sole owner of this business), and only relied on Yelp to find a trustworthy local plumber (or jack-of-all-trades) and Yelp didn't let me down: Jerred has integrity and practical knowledge of most things pertaining to house maintenance. In addition, he doesn't mind sharing insights or give advice on other potential household "issues" (that may arise) and, needless to say, he completed his job efficiently with no extra charges (on a hot day). Called Jerred and he was here within 2 hours. With our original water heater the copper connecting water pipes were soldered in. As they were 25 year old I wanted them replaced. Jerred skillfully removed the old shut off valve and replaced it with one where the flexible feeder pipes could be simply screwed on. Jerred is very personable, helpful and knowledgeable. I was replacing our water heater with a tankless unit. He took the time to give me the pros and cons as well as some tips. Jerred understands codes and quality service. His rate was reasonable. We needed a toilet reinstalled and the time frame kept changing due to the floor installers. Jerred was still able to arrive exactly when we needed and the price was exactly what he had quoted. Jerred was very nice, very knowledgeable and very professional. I like liked being able to reach him via text and he was very responsive. He did a great job!! He also showed me how to fix a problem he found in the shower, troubleshot our soft water conditioner and even changed the batteries for the kitchen faucet. My experience with working with Jerred to have a tankless water heater installed was great. Jerred was very good at communicating all that was involved in installing the unit and how it operates. Jerred is able to explain technical concepts in understandable terms and this built trust with me. An amazing service ! got a leaking outside water faucet, called Jerred last night, and got to his voicemail, left it, without much hope of hearing back from them. I feel a little funny writing a review when I haven't used them. I called because I was having trouble getting the compression ring off for a valve I'm replacing, Jerred gave me an estimate and and some available appointment times. I mentioned that I've replaced a lot of valves just this one is giving me issues and he referred me to his youtube site and now I know what to do! Christensen Brothers came and repaired our hot water heater, but we were still having problems. We called Christensen's back, but they refused to come back saying we don't work on GE water heaters.
