This is the second time I have used Aloha Plumbing. The first was a minor job fixing a kitchen faucet a few years ago. When I decided to replace my two 12 year old hot water heaters, I called several companies, including Aloha, to get estimates. Another concern I had was one of the tanks was in the attic, directly over our master bath & bedroom. It was something we lived with but had heard of tank failures causing huge damages to floors below. Jerred assured me that a tankless water heater, located in the garage, would provide hot water to the entire house as well as 2 traditional tank heaters. A benefit would be hot water not being limited to the capacity of the tank size, for endless hot water. His bid was not the lowest, but I feel he was honest in explaining the pros and cons, as well as giving a firm price and performance commitment. Brenden did most of the work, including much time in the hot attic. He was friendly and willing to explain what he was doing and to answer my questions. Jared was amazing. Last year they came out on short notice and replaced my water heater fast. Then a couple of weeks ago I had an issue with my outdoor faucet. Radiant wanted to cut a hole in the wall of the house and charge me $1200. Not only was he able to fix it for $400 but he did not have to cut a hole in my wall and he worked on my other outside faucet to make sure I did not have the same thing happen to it in the future. Jerred with Aloha plumbing was wonderful. The water heater in our rental house had stopped working so we had a friend who is a plumber look at it to try and fix it, but he could not (and actually made it worse per Jerred). Took a chance and called after they were closed to leave a message since the renters had been without hot water for 4 days. He called me back around 8:30 pm to let me know he had a cancellation in the morning and could come out. He spent a lot of time on the phone with me going over different scenarios, options, and costs. He went to the rental house right on time and kept in touch with me the whole time he was there by text. This was extremely helpful as it is our rental house and I was actually out of town and couldn't be there anyway. He was even so detailed as to send me pictures of what was wrong with the heater. The water heater was also only 3 years old and I had turned in the warranty paperwork so he was able to get part of it covered by the warranty. On top of this, he suggested a water alarm, which is a great idea as the water heater is in a heavily insulated attic and a leak could cause serious damage, and he was able to put it in for us. I recently called Jerred to fix a drain that kept clogging. He essentially diagnosed the problem over the phone. I called on a Friday and was able to get a Monday appointment, which worked great because the drain had not yet re-clogged, so there was no rush. He arrived on time, wore shoe covers while working in my home, repaired the problem quickly (his phone diagnosis was correct), left no mess behind, and offered free tips on preventing future clogs as well as preventing clogs in the AC unit that drains into the sink in question. Well, this is my second review for Aloha Plumbing. It turns out I had two leaks one in the sprinkler system and one in the main line from the water meter into my house. I called Aloha back and Brendan came out to fix the problem. The Builder had installed PVC the entire way from the meter to the copper line into my house. Brendan replaced the broken PVC with PEX tubing which is flexible and will allow the ground to move independently from the house so that this problem will not reccur. Aloha also includes a one year warranty on their work. This is indeed a fantastic company. read more

EDUCATED me on it to find out it is an old model, does not even get serviced anywhere (Saving us at least $125 right there of having someone come out to tell us that) and what he would recommend using. I live in Georgetown and my water heater wasn't making hot water so I called Jerred based on his great yelp reviews. I have no idea about the mechanics of hot water heaters. Instead of taking advantage of my ignorance, he told me that my breaker had somehow been tripped. He simply reset the breaker and only charged me for the visit. He could have invented a complex problem but did not do that. I am very thankful I called him. read more

First the technician came on a day he wasn't scheduled. Then I'm told it will cost $359 to replace a $15 cartridge. I went to Home Depot (5 mins away) and purchased the cartridge for $15, The puller for $13 and changed out the cartridge myself in 10 mins. I'm a business owner myself and have a very good understanding of parts mark-up and overhead and I don't care what licenses you need to have, I cannot see justifying $300+ for overhead. I definitely don't recommend this company. Bottom line, Charge a fair price for the job you're doing. Period! read more

Aloha Plumbing is the BEST! Professional, honest, excellent customer service and transparent/fair pricing. I called Aloha to schedule same day service for an issue I thought had to do with my plumbing. I was concerned that I had a pipe leaking behind my drywall, because the interior wall was accumulating water-causing the paint to retain a large water pocket. Jared squeezed me in the same day. Jared called 30 minutes before arriving. Upon arrival, he asked pertinent questions and thoroughly went through the house and attic to figure out what was causing the problem. Afterwards he explained that the water pipe/plumbing was not the issue, but he was able to identify the source of the problem. I pulled out my checkbook and was about to pay him the service fee, but he stopped me and wanted to see if there was anything else plumbing wise he could check on for me. I was surprised, because most plumbers would take the money and run. Jared does not charge per hour, he has a flat service fee and tells you the exact cost of any work he is going to do before he does it. He was able to fix an external water faucet for me while he was here (which in the long run saved me some money) and gave me some useful tips for preventative maintenance for my house. Long story short this was one of the best customer service experiences I have had since I moved to Leander. Both my husband and I were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be using Aloha for any future plumbing issues! read more

Very impressed with this company. I had a stopped up toilet that no amount of plunging or snaking seemed to fix. I called them out to help, he tries a flush to see what's happening, and it's suddenly working perfectly. He did continue to check out the toilet to make sure everything was working fully and noticed that the flapper was dropping too soon and suggested a fix. I fully expected to have to pay for the service call, but he didn't charge me a dime. They definitely earned my business next time I have a real issue. read more

Jerrod is a top-notch Master Plumber which replaced my 16yo water heater this February. I called him out of the blue, as I had never done business with him before. He arrived at exactly his stated time, gave me a very fair assessment. I needed some water lines and a drain line/vent stack raised to accommodate a new vanity we purchased for our Master Bath... Jared from Aloha was great on the phone and was able to quote me a price based on pictures I texted him. We defined the parameters of the job, and agreed upon the price for the work. All done by text, which I really liked since that was a written record of our conversation. He was able to come out the next day... He was on time and ready to go... We reviewed the job and he got started. It was about a 4 hour job, and Jared completed it on time, and it looks fantastic. He even took the time to roughly place the vanity cabinets to make sure the rough in was in the right place. This is a huge upgrade over what was there. We had a good talk about possible future projects, and I will call him again in the when the need arises. I also liked that he did his invoicing on an iPad, and while I paid cash, he was able to take Credit Cards.
