From the very beginning, Pete and Gabe were super communicative and took everything that the previous company had done, fixed it to make it correct, and then pushed it through with the city. So...I just found out yesterday that my solar system has not been working for a few months. As you could imagine I was panicking! I tried troubleshooting and was unsuccessful. Contacting Solar Edge support chat, it says my optimizers were not paired which I have no clue what that means. I went ahead and requested quotes on yelp. Gabe reached out and informed me that he will contact Solar Edge to see if they will replace the inverter since it was under warranty. Not even 30 mins he sent me another message informing me that Solar Edge will replace my inverter as it has gone bad and he should receive it in a 2-3 weeks. He did all this in under an hour and helped a customer without compensation. I am truly amazed on his amazing customer service. Not only that, he provided a quote for the installation as that is not typically covered under warranty. The quote itself was below the pricing of other quotes I received. I actually called Aloha Solar after another company "fixed" my solar inverter for like a day, then it went down again. The other company tried to convince me that I needed to update my whole system. Then they just ignored me after I repeatedly asked to have them come back. When I called Aloha, it was so refreshing to hear Gabe answer the phone and share his honest opinion about fixing my system and even possibly needed to upgrade the panels, if it was needed. I am so very glad I went with Gabe and his team. Professional responsive and the work was done within a week and a half of me signing the contract. That included removal of existing (10+ old system) a new roof and reinstall plus new panels and a replacement inverter. The roofers were amazing! And the quote was far less than my general contractor provided. They had the old roof off and a new one installed in a span of three days! They also replaced some boards free of charge noting that they wanted to put on a roof we didn't have to worry about for 25 years. Also installed solar attic fans free of charge. The solar installers Gilberto, Matt and Sam were polite, organized and responsive. With a remodel going on our house right now is a revolving mix of people who show up and just start work. These guys took the time to introduce themselves. Kept us up to date on their progress. Made sure the WiFi and app were working before they left and were just extremely pleasant people to work with. Gabe and his team (specifically Gilbert, Gerry, Kasha, and Renee) are the most patient, kind, knowledgeable, friendly, professional group I've ever met in any of the trades. We took our time making this decision (I should say months) and they never gave up. Always checked in but never pressured us. Answered every email and question (and there were many). In early 2023 we got three quotes for Residential Solar panels. None of the Salespeople promoted battery storage or brought it to our attention until we asked about it. The stories we were given suggested either batteries were hard to get or Panel Installation companies just weren't focused on Storage solutions. Once our panels were installed, we began the search for a battery installation contractor. By chance my wife spotted Aloha's phone number on the side of one of their trucks in the Home Depot parking lot. The employee gave us some info on Aloha which all checked out. We arranged a home consultation a couple of days later where Aloha's owner, Gabe, explained his battery storage proposal for our solar system, the different options for battery manufacturers( Tesla or Enphase) with their respective merits & warranties. When it came time for installation it all went very quickly. The hardware got delivered in the morning and an Aloha crew of 3 worked all day to install 5 wall-mounted Enphase units and connect them into our panels' circuitry. It appeared a colossal amount of work & their site foreman had all his guys busy the whole time. In September of 2023 Enphase had just introduced a new battery and Aloha needed the local Enphase Rep onsite to install the latest firmware that didn't ship with the batteries. The battery storage system commissioning went smoothly and the Enphase phone App immediately updated from displaying just Panel output to include the new batteries' storage percentage and activity during the day. Aloha were responsive to phone & email communications during the project, did what they said they would do as promised, even though our project had the firmware delay described above. If we'd known about Aloha earlier we would have considered them for Solar Panel installation. I recommend Aloha for Enphase installation and would rehire for any general residential electrical work. read more
